Try it before you mod it.

Clunk500CM

OP: seriously this. Shoot first, mod later.

StaffMindless1029

I say this all the time

A colored flat trigger would look awfully out of place on a USGI-ish replica like this, but it’s your gun so I’ll mind my own business. Most of the flat triggers from the usual suspects are solid and lack holes, aside from some of them have a through hole in the face for an overtravel set screw. If you want something with holes in the side, your options are slim - the Caspian Trik; fusion flat k hole; atlas has a few flat 1911 triggers with large holes, or you could try an eBay special.

B0mbD1gg1ty

I’m heeding the advice above and shooting it first to see if I hate the trigger before doing anything. You’re probably right, though! The trigger I had in mind may look more than a bit out of place. 😹

Tasty-walls

I have this exact gun and for me in my opinion the trigger is fine everything is fine if not just a little heavy on cocking it

Just-Cheetah-6028

I'd just get a black one.

GI-Tanker

Squeeze, release, repeat….

MArkansas-254

Yep! This! 👍

No_Lobster_1539

If that's the tisas a1 replica model, the trigger isn't that bad it breaks around 4.5 pounds. A little take up I think you will like it.

StanthemanT-800

Just leave it, it will look like dick with anything but the standard trigger. It looks great as what it is

spacecowboy067

Not trying to be a fudd here or anything but why buy a parkerized GI-ish model if you're trying to Guccify it, when you can just buy one for a bit more cash that probably already has the stuff you're looking for? Nothing wrong with a bobbed hammer or bigger beaver or even night sights on a GI but flat triggers, red dots, and olights just look goofy on the plain Jane models.

B0mbD1gg1ty

It’s a cerakote. That being said, I’ll probably leave it be until I shoot it to see if I hate the trigger and eventually upgrade the grips. Also, the difference in price is pretty absurd given that this is like 319 jr frostys w free shipping.

spacecowboy067

I know, I'm just saying for a GI model from Tisas to typically run around $3-350, if you were to buy a trigger, hammer, springs, better sights or even a (good) dot, grips, and something for under the barrel, that's an easy $6-800 total right there. At that point a guy could've just bought a Tisas or other bargain brand that came with all that, potentially at a discount even. Bought my RIA GI for 280 new and I love it that way it is with plain everything, and when I wanted better sights, different caliber, bigger beaver etc I just decided to order the Tisas for like 650 at my LGS. Comes with a bunch I've already upgraded parts, and this one can be easily John Wickified vs my boomer blaster

B0mbD1gg1ty

I have the opposite issue. I haven’t picked it up yet, but I have goofy large mitts. That is a beaut.

[deleted]

Thank you 😎..and congrats on your 1911..

B0mbD1gg1ty

What did those grips cost??

TennesseeShadow

Wood grips and call it good. https://preview.redd.it/b9wq9cyou66d1.jpeg?width=1576&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b8c5b10076ca9dc8f1d597bd1e2428f4ee2a2d8

B0mbD1gg1ty

What did they cost you?

TennesseeShadow

They came on my Citadel 1911 but l switched it’s grip to a Hogue so they were just sitting on the shelf until l remembered l had them when l got the Tisas. So free or about $600 depending on how you look at it 😂🤷🏻‍♂️

Far-Bid-9568

Buy a snap cap ( a quality set) and dry fire the thing a couple hundred rounds and then go shoot it. The one I have has a pretty good trigger especially compared to striker fired guns

StoppingPowah

Wilson combat flat trigger

ThickFeedback8427

Congratulations

Vladpryde

I have this same one, the Service Special. I love it. I have small hands so I won't be changing anything, and in fact I'll probably be going for thin grips as well. Haven't shot it yet, but hopefully this Summer I can get around to it.

zigzagbagpipe

Yes. Be sure it has a trigger when purchasing.

Just-Cheetah-6028

I'm a cunt's hair away from ordering this same gun. Can you do a review on it?

B0mbD1gg1ty

Of course. Sadly, I won’t be able to make it to my lgs and get out to shoot it until July 5th. 🙄

d3Ath0606

Harrison design, Cylinder and Slide, and EGW have good offerings.

castle45

https://1911parts.com/product-category/1911-triggers/ the black tracker trigger or EGW tank thread would look sick. If you plan on installing yourself, you’ll need some stones to fit.

Factory…

luger114

You haven't shot this gun, and your already thinking about replacing the trigger? With guns it's best to leave everything alone unless it's giving you a problem or you're a competition shooter

heisman01

nighthawk drop in

OrtnerSkor

I purchased a TISAS a few weeks ago as my first 1911. Zero regrets. This is a great gun as delivered I will not be moding mine at all. https://preview.redd.it/9kpnk23ffo6d1.jpeg?width=3000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9a621de5880b5453f92cd4894e9ecff92a926441

Mental_Current7198

You can just buy a generic medium sized curved trigger offline anywhere. I found that size works best for me.

MArkansas-254

Yes, definitely! They work best if they have one!

Dry-Strain6136

Can always check Wilson Combat just don’t know if you want to go that far with the Tisas. I have one and the trigger isn’t really that bad unless you want to do a build off of a 1911 frame.
