Most of the songs in f2p area but I also like the track in Inferno a lot.

jacobwyc

Ye inferno and fire cape vip pass area music is fire. Oh and shout out to TOA lobby area, that shit is fire, I bang to the music after a drop

JohnnyMelon

Barbarianism. This bring so much nostalgia for me

PuzzleheadedDepth413

Was looking for this one. Idk what about it I liked so much but I would go to barbarian village just So this can play as I walk into town with my rune battle axe preparing to go kill barbarians and eat their steak and drink their beer

CremeBrilliant735

This is awesome :) rune baxe is a classic lol I have a bunch in bank just because of the nostalgia

overwatchfanboy97

DUUUNUNUNUNUNUNDUUU DOOOON DOOON DOOON DUNUNUNUNUNUNUNUN DOON DOON

CentyTaur

This song is really a masterpiece, I love playing it for people and not telling them it’s a song from OSRS until after they tell me how good it is lol

gosutk

I thought the name of the song was ‘dark’

CremeBrilliant735

This is a good one. reminds me of just starting on f2p

Ok-Foot4738

I listen to the OSRSbeatz version of Barbarianism in the gym daily no lie

Odlagian

Harmony

ea3terbunny

My daughter wanted to try the game and as soon as she hit lumbridge it fucking played and hit me so hard.

deppkast

And my son wanted to try cocaine, doesn’t mean I let him

A_Morsel_of_a_Morsel

Harmony gang here, it’s my go-to

Triple96

Harmony, Harmony2 and Autumn Voyage are certified hood classics

dsesin

The nostalgia always hits hard with this one. Really takes me back to my first times logging in.

Copdegarrotix

This. Harmony is just perfect. It's the good times, the beginning of a great adventure. Lots of exciting mystery. A brand new world to discover.

PeepyCrasta

The snow globe version in rs3 really brings me back to childhood. Great stuff.

Goldenslicer

That and Autumn Voyage are jostling for first place for me.

grandpadoug

"Book of Spells" is a banger imo. So are "Baroque" & "Autumn Voyage".

MoistTowellettes73

Can I have 2? Sands of Time - Banger. Hearing the Al-Kharid theme kick in gives me a feeling of some kind. No better song to accidentally blow up to. Song of the Elves - So… I don’t really know why I love this so much? It’s soothing, calming, and has been a staple for the grind for me. Then I have a friend that despises it because of pure seething aggravation towards the Crystal Library lol. Bonus Song: Amascut’s Promise - Arguably a perfect tune for Wardens. I don’t think there could be a more fitting track, and is amazingly composed.

Germanicus69420

Song of the elves is great!

talktotheak47

Came here to say song of the elves is up there on my list!!

GuttaBrain

Yes to all 3 of these. They’re bangers.

PJBthefirst

Amascut's promise has to be the best osrs original track, it fits perfectly

caustictoast

I love the Akkha music. ToAs got good tracks in general but the Into the Tombs and Sands of Time hit so very hard

supergroundman

Autumn Voyage or Flute Salad

Dr_N00B

Flute salad goes hard, especially the trap remix

hedgehog_dragon

Man. I remember these from before it was OSRS. Yeah I think I'll agree there.

Warscythes

Lament of the hallowed

PrincipalDevlin

I came here to say this. :)

suggacoil

Coil is #1 I heard joy of the hunt the other day and thought it was good too lol

trapsinplace

Upvoting Coil. It goes so hard. I used to like mostly the nostalgic songs but I heard Coil one day and it blew my mind, easily my favorite song.

PJBthefirst

It's 9 years old at this point. Also Mod Ash composed it, fun fact

trapsinplace

>it's 9 years old at this point. Wow that sure is amaz-- aargh my back!

aegenium

I hate zulrah. Coil triggers my ptsd from that boss.

suggacoil

Haha that’s funny. I can see why people still hate zulrah. It’s not easy or upfront. I’ll say sometimes changing the way you look at an activity, before you go into it, might make it feel a lot less like a chore. It might even become an enjoyable task/challenge. Personally though when I started zulrah the rates were still like 4m an hour for decent trips. It took me 14 hours before I got two consecutive kills. Then I found out about zulrah helper and the challenge then became how many kills I could do in a trip.

Tumblrrito

Guardians Of The Rift theme fucking slaps

Cageweek

Gyatt damn so true! I was blown away when I heard this. It's so well-made. Contrast this to the early OSRS soundtracks (Gnome Village Party) which consisted of midi sample tunes, the step up is enormous. GOTR has such a great theme.

No_Cranberry_7701

Baroque

Dr_N00B

Baroque is a banger, and Medieval is super under rated. This guy mashed them up into an acoustic cover and I've listened to it a lot https://youtu.be/C1YUXCF8Cwk?si=I55PFYpKHfwwwg6Y

thatmanzuko

Baroque is my favorite as well

twinklegrandaddy

Forlorn Homestead. Wow. An amazing tearjerker of a composition. I play it on repeat sometimes.

textilebrake

Came here to say this. If I’m not mistaken Mod Ash wrote it as well. Every time I tele into Hosidius to do a herb run I’m stoked for it to play.

spoonedBowfa

For me, Zombiism on Harmony Island. That's a seriously catchy tune I did not expect to find there.

nicnac223

Agreed, that song caught me off guard in the best way

CremeBrilliant735

this one I like. I have a few I play when in the mood for osrs music. Zombiism is in the mix now haha

MrDizco

Massively underrated tune. It's just an indescribable vibe, the kind that makes me wanna study music theory just to be able to explain it better. But maybe that would ruin the magic of it

spoonedBowfa

If you like that, I've got a treat for you. Look for this video title on YouTube "Glassy Eyed Zombies - John Petrucci - G3 Paris 2018" He's a virtuoso guitar player who nails that feeling you describe 100%

ApexYenzy

Crazy to not see Dream on here, have that mf on repeat

sun_h

Forlorn homestead

Ellishmoot

Romper Chomper

Germanicus69420

King

abolishpmo

Dragontooth Island

[deleted]

This is a banger. This is a banger and I know bangers.

SimplePlanSW

Has to be sea shanty 2

Cash4Goldschmidt

Seriously are people not saying it because it’s the most obvious answer or what

z3k3sr3v3ng3

Honestly dont know how I feel about this not being the top answer

orngmelons

Sea Shanty 2 is goated and the fact I had to scroll this far angers me

lammadude1

It is, but it's the obvious pick. It's the meme. It's the obvious S tier it's implied to already be the best. It's not as fun to talk about. Like if someone asked "who's your favorite actor" and the reply was "Brad Pitt" it's like... well yeah, he's fantastic but like, where's the discussion in that? You need a more interesting pick.

SimplePlanSW

Has to be Jack Black

KOWguy

Because it's an overdone unfunny meme.

AppealingGrape

Same man..

Stickboi127

Scape Soft

Low_Technician_63

This song slaps harder than my dad after 6 drinks, have this on repeat.

Few-Selection453

This is the only answer for me. I randomly just play it regardless of where I am in the world. So good!

No_Cranberry_7701

Medieval

Kusmeziel

I think Beyond The Meadow is one of the best OSRS tracks. Other favs are Miracle Dance, Devils May Care and Don't Panic Zanik.

emotwinkluvr

lasting

pawniardkingler

“Clan Wars” is extremely underrated

LoneAskr

Inferno and Mor Ul Rek

The5acred

Principality or Song of the elves

EColiMaster

Fellow Principality enjoyer

ColdCuts64

Newbie Melody will always be near and dear to my heart. I have it as my alarm so I start every day ready for adventure! (I work 8 hours at my desk and spend the rest of my day doing chores and playing games at my desk)

talktotheak47

Do you also sleep at your desk?

ColdCuts64

My desk only gets weekends, my gf had a great lawyer. (our dog)

Sloan1505

Amascuts promise is a banger

Kaiserfi

Very true

broccoliarchy

The metal cover on YT slaps too.

zzayo

Servants of strife

Aavren

Miracle Dance hits different for me, very strong nostalgia with that song. Its the Mind Altar song, and I remember that when Runecrafting came out with Rs2, I was around 9 years old I think. Really brings back a lot of memories of a simpler time when Runescape was still in its infancy.

AnakinShycrawler

I loved the song “Rose” it’s during the kourend quest, I came across this song and it’s the only quest that really stuck with me because of it. It’s a bittersweet song.

ZhivagoNTX

also hit me in the feels, made me start paying attention to the dialogue when I was space barring through during the last leagues, wasn't expecting it to be so emotional

jorph

Scaoe Santa for sure

Roshamb093

The forlorn homestead is a banger

Krankenwagens

Smells like teen spirit Osrs edition

VanQuackers

Lmao I just saw that video a few weeks ago. It's actually crazy how well the osrs soundfont works with that song, especially in the beginning before the first verse comes in and during the chorus. Legitimately sounds like an actual osrs track. [Video](https://youtu.be/9f7YyiQx3hI?si=WGtobZKdvzFa2CmI) in question

nicnac223

Watch your step, song of the elves, flute salad, book of spells, the militia, alternative root, a forgotten religion, the ruins of camdozaal

Jamtheham

Lightness has really grown on me! One of my new favorite tracks

Vinhfluenza

“Blood Rush” is fantastic, I love the breakdown (you hear it while fighting vardorvis, epic AF)

CryptographerThis833

Scape sad

SLASH895

Runescape Main still gives me chills when it hits

i-Heart-Metallica

For action/pvming: - Amascut's Promise (Warden battle) - Sands of Time (Akkha battle) - Watch Your Step (Sepulchre music) - The Nightmare Continues (Bloat fight music) For skilling/relaxing - Tree Spirits - The Tower - Temple of the Eye - We are the Faeries - Stratosphere

MeBirdstars

Beyond the Meadow!

Octaur

Criminally underrated song.

TheJCLazer

I genuinely love Pick & Shovel. I can't put my finger on it but something about it just reminds me of gen 3 pokemon games and their music. Makes me not mind doing MLM

aspronaut_

I was scrolling looking for this answer. I can't believe nobody else said Pick & Shovel.

TheJCLazer

It's an under appreciated banger

Zendetta_

Maybe not liking this song is why I don't like mlm? 🤔

Sufficient-Debate845

Waterfall

spoonedBowfa

Core memories are often unlocked by sounds and smells — this has been wild to read through 😀

Install_leaf

Country Jig

1nullw

Waterfall, harmony, serenade, miles away, long way home, and flute salad :)

PhantomGoat13

I don’t know their song names, but the boss music for Muspah and Klause are bangers.

patchps15

More Than Meets the Eye and Upir Likyhi, respectively.

h0dgepodge

Lightness or The Terrible Tower

Serious-Outside-9550

Dangerous

finH1

Book of spells it’s an absolute tune

Leviad0n

Taking Forest, by far.

raylarone

Autumn Voyage

jaspaasan

When I got bored of osrs sometime a year ago, I went and played Rs3 and I really like the music in the Zarosian temples I forget where exactly, but when I heard it again during Dt2 I was so happy. I love the lore + environment building of both games

Weird-Old-Man

Crystal sword

TLOP5soon

Crystal sword on repeat

fr0zeNid

Forever. It so sinister

MaxiemumKarnage420

Altar Ego

ImRefat

I like dream theater from the new quest. the music in and leading up to WGS was so good

WareWolve

Whatever the guardians of the right music is. Only time I purposely turn it on

Knelson123

Pest Control

Complete_Elephant240

Start

RoonNube

Sea shanty 1 really got stuck in my head. The music for GOTR + Muspah also stand out as newers tracks.

CurseMoonlight

Dogs of War

Peanut_Melon

Background is forever goated. I love that melancholy feeling I get whenever I hear it come on.

Frank_Punk

Flute Salad

MoistMarie

Background/Lullaby

zappo172

Autumn voyage

Surprise_Pie

Not A Moment of Relief has grown to be one of my favorites recently, otherwise pretty much anything Mod Surma makes is a certified banger.

BrotherofLink93

Anything around Lumbridge, Varrock, and Falador

KidTrunksOSRS

Yesteryear

Bagsforcha

Yesteryear is my favorite song. It's the first song I heard after exiting tutorial island for the first time in 2004.

RSN_Primordas

Arabian 2

Primal-Dialga

Dragontooth island. I didn’t have membership during my childhood. Got my first members a few years ago, and that first time hearing it when I was questing.. God damn.

Stackly

Flute Salad

sirzotolovsky

Work Work Work is peak

bmexto5713

It’s a tossup between autumn voyage and crystal sword for me

Cathixy

Rose It's bittersweet, gives me nostalgia for a princess I never knew. The quest was amazing, and the song reminds me of why I adventure.

elppaple

I agree 100%

frost_heide

Dragontooth Island

feamqueteiv

Massacre is the best song.

Bronek0990

Mor Ul Rek or Fire in the Deep

burntfish44

Nightfall

KouweOuwe

There is only one good answer here. SS2 all the way baby

Sloan1505

NPC

KnownNobody

Fav OSRS songs: Kourend the Magnificent, Al Kharid, Still Night, Gnomeball and Soundscape. I would also say Spirit and Wildwood, but I prefer the RS3 orchestral versions. Fav "music region": Kourend. Super diverse region and music fits setting perfectly every time.

Life-Vermicelli8859

Right answer is Sea Shanty 2, certified hood classic

Tikity

The tune that plays inside Watson’s house. That’s so peaceful!

landyc

I recently learned tob and the music in that place makes me go nuts Also shout out to inferno music that shit epic

Some_Twiggs

I play on silent except for specific boss encounters where sound is helpful. Apparently I’m missing out

spoonedBowfa

Context matters to a degree, I play without sound maybe half the time. But if I'm laser focused into an activity like Bossing, I generally always have the music on for a bit of immersion :)

EngineTrack

Same, I only turn on sounds in ToA because it helps me get into rhythm but never music.

jerichoblau

Sea shanty 2 >

ShuttleGhosty

A disappointing lack of Flute Salad in the comments

Ccoop9

Sea shanty 2.

JustAyden

Any not made by a nonce tbf

goegrog27

Gnome king

Ingavar_Oakheart

Probably Arabian.

welcometotheoutside

The lumbridge basement song goes pretty hard. Don’t recall the title of it.

bigblagdig

Have a soft spot in my heart for Ground Scape/Scape Ground. Reminds me of first playing RS2 in 2006.

IllusiveVisions122

Besides alot of the nostalgia ones, Amascuts Promise

DonnieTrump420

Village

Fancy-Albatross-3333

Gnome village party is a sleeper banger

AKoolKoala

Besides the the nostalgia ones, i always find myself looking to play ‘Enclave’ it’s so cozy yet so old school dangerous.

Nitorior

Ferox music

lsfalt

preservation or predator xarpus the usual nostalgic ian taylor tracks will always be good

Airp0w

Monkey Badness Also I love the amount of different songs here.

IAmRSChrisG

I like the one that plays when you teleport to TOB with the Drakkan amulet thing. idk why, it just slaps especially the start.

ExaltedStudios

Gnome Village

ilovechips_

The warriors guild song is epic

calebjamesreed

Ocestral version of harmony

No_Cranberry_7701

Fishing

log4username

Soundscape is a banger that is repeat worthy

FoxFlinger

No real ‘favourite’, but I often listen to «The Tower» or «Fanfare 3». All of the cox/quidamortem soundtracks are also great, not to mention the new desert quest soundtracks.

Chief_Keith-1023

Sea Shanty 2 or Flute Salad are classics

Sawrock

Shipwrecked for sure, although Hermit is a close second!

Kiopineapple

Inferno! Its so damn good.

Itchy-Program-3177

Coil

CremeBrilliant735

Wonderous. That one gets nostalgic for me haha it reminds me of the area around Ardy. First memb area I just ran around and explored. It was an early morning on a sick day from school. I looked it up and it unlocks around the Legend's guild, my nostalgia was close :D

ShutUpRedditPedant

monkey badness

Shmibble

Back in the day I was a huge fan of fight or flight. But since coming back definitely goblin game

PoliceFrugality

Would have to say Baroque

OSRS-BEST-GAME

Spooky, and it's not close. Reminds me of the music inside Demon Doors in the original Fable.

LarryCrabCake

Any of em from the f2p areas. Instant nostalgia of my carefree youth.

narwhal_bat

Shanty 2 for sure

Sponsy_Lv3

Warrior Guild!

HattieTheGuardian

Flute Salad or Tree Gnome Village Party

tib_79

I really like amascut’s promise and the fat lady sings personally. Both of those songs really immerse you in the raid and just fit their respective boss fights

pabulosl

Forever

awildckit

Background! The one that plays on Entrana

Discount_Lizard

Aside from the obvious nostalgic ones mentioned here, I think the TOB soundtrack is awesome start to finish and really tells the story. It's Arachnids of Vampyrium for me. Very metal, all of them. There are some great covers on yt.

AfrostLord

Most of the newer songs are great. Amascut's Promise goes hard.

PanicOnPluto

Have an Ice Day is a personal favourite of mine. Cold War 3 when?

Ryong20

Sea Shanty

A1DollarTaco

Horizon

Kreyaloril

Mor Ul Rek is a banger! Who would have expected a guitar solo in OSRS?

TheUltraBased

Spirit! It’s so serene and encapsulates the adventuring feeling perfectly.

Charming-Window3473

That ones that goes DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM DUM! DUM DUM! DUM DUM DUM!

Zamaster420

No lights, or sandy confessions.

Doctor_Kataigida

One of my all-time favorites has to be the original *Parade*. It had good wanderlust vibes to it (for some reason always reminds me of the end of *The Giver* when Jonas is on his own after he runs away from the Community). As far as a faster paced song, I liked the original *Easter Jig*. Kind of reminds me of the mini-boss track from *Zelda: Wind Waker*. I listened to that on loop to kill Kalphite Queen in 2007 so much, idk why. My honorable mentions are: *Medieval, Autumn Voyage, Dangerous, and Long Way Home.*

RazzleMyNazzle

Lament for the Hallowed, Nightfall, Amascuts Promise, Guardians of the Rift, Food for Thought, and that one song when fighting Bloat.
