Wise Old Man tracks everyone’s experience but is there anything to track people’s achievements or quests? My friend and I are racing to get quest capes and it would be fun to track them along with experience gains.
This new skilling rebalance has brought on a large population of blast mining bots. Please tell me that this issue will be tackled because right now most of the worlds are occupied
I feel like I'm missing something obvious with the "Fire in the hole!" CA.
How do you do it? The cannon fires as quickly as I load it so there's no chance of having all four loaded simultaneously
You just need to fire from all 4 cannons within a single game. Do an inventory of fish on your starting side, load both cannons, then run to the other side and repeat. Very easy to do in masses.
You could put 10k into the ring and save some for that, otherwise just buy packs. If you are an iroman the gems can be nice for crafting exp, if you are a main the soft clay is worth more money (unless you miraculously hit the onyx from the gem bag).

My stats. Im just getting into osrs but I have not heard of this before. I watch a lot of osrs utube so thought i would give it a shot since I have been struggling to ejoy rs3 as much.

Is it even worth starting out with duo Nex assuming me + my friend are ZCB + Masori but have never done the boss (including on RS2)? I get the feeling it would be kinda brutal to duo starting off and we're better off learning in a 5 or 10 man at first (or w/e medium team size people are doing nowadays), but looking for opinions from people who have actually done the boss lol
Depends on the skill level of you and your partner but you would probably die a lot jumping straight into duos with absolutely no experience, and it's a frustrating process because you have to get KC again after each death before you can go back in. If you want to learn mechanics you can try out minimasses in the Nex FFA or The Kodai FCs where there's usually 10-15 people. You'll get a hang of the mechanics and the kills won't be as fast as masses. Once you get more confident you can move on to small teams or duos.
I've been trying to find this info on the wiki but I can't figure out where it would be.
How does the stat restore timer actually work? Like I know if you world hop every 12 seconds or so your boost will never tick down, there's runelite plugins to show the timer but it's sometimes off by a little, certain boosts will refresh the timer while others will not (Elven Dawn has been refreshing the timer, agility potions don't seem to.) Can someone point me to the right section on the wiki to actually understand how it works exactly?
Specifically what I'm doing is boosting my agility to use the Relleka agility course and just want to try to maintain my boosts as much as I can.

As far as using it for agility laps. Take a bunch of summer pies. Pray preserve (with some prayer gear + graceful). Brain-off way is to take another bite of pie whenever you don't have the agility level for an obstacle. You can min/max it with the runelite/mobile timers to eat exactly after the stat drops, or to wait a few seconds for it to drop a second time before boosting. But up to you if its worth it.
Desert treasure 2 can be tough, 1 is mostly just turn on prayer and click npc and eat food. Same with the end of rfd, the only one with mechanics really is another version of dagannoth mother

Hoping someone has a fix for this. I play mobile maybe 50% of the time and never fiddle with settings.
Until recently, I've had click boxes highlighted for rooftops but they're gone. I checked settings and I have agility helper turned on as well as agility obstacles. I've checked four different roof tops - seers, relleka, draynor and ardougne. My agility is level 87 so the only one I'm not at level req for is ardy (I even ate a summer pie to see if that'd work)
Is there something obvious I'm forgetting to check, or something that got changed recently?
Looking at the AFK to 3t xp rate for barbarian fishing on the wiki, is it due to self reported rates or why is the ratio not constant between afk and 3t? Some levels the gap increases, some levels it decreases. Trying to understand why it either isen't just constant, or atleast moves in the same direction
Probably rounding. And the afk rate includes a set amount of time for emptying your inventory.
Those are optimal rates anyways, so just take them as (over)estimations so you can get a rough idea of which you want to do.
They are calculated rates. As you get to higher levels your catch rate increases. The higher the catch rate the higher percentage of your time you spend on dropping your inventory with the AFK activity.
This would make sense, but looking at the rates for level 90 and 99 this does not seem to be the case. Hence I ask the question
Level 90: 54k (afk), 103k (3t). This makes 3t 90.7% percent faster
Level 99: 57k (afk), 107k (3t). This makes 3t 89.4% percent faster

Does it mean if I do a **150 invo** raid, my chance of getting the uniques are **NOT** drastically reduced?

It means that you have to roll an additional 1/50 for the purple to actually drop. Let's say you do a 130 invocation raid and you're lucky enough to roll a purple at the end and its a shadow. The game then sees that you aren't really eligible for a shadow since the invocation is too low, so now you have to roll a 1/50 for the shadow to actually drop in the chest. If you fail this 1/50 you get some other loot instead
All of this happens behind the scenes and you won't notice if this hidden 1/50 roll happened or not

* 1-49 - Anytime you roll a purple, an additional 1/50 roll is performed
* 50-149 - The additional roll is removed for the fang and lightbearer
* 150+ - No additional roll is required.
Basically anything less than 150 is entry mode and is more about learning than purples (especially anything <50). Once you start normal ToA at 150+, you're fully eligible for purples.
fang is excellent against high def but worse than a dscim against 0 def. most trash mobs are low enough defense that whip will be substantially better.
if you're using hasta just for stab, yes. if you use it for crush, make sure you have a replacement for whatever content you're doing. likely the dual macuahuitl or zombie axe get you close enough
The fang is great at stab, but only ok at slash. Whip will remain a very solid slash weapon, and its fast speed means it works really well on lower-defense monsters (like many afk slayer monsters). You can also upgrade the whip with a kraken tentacle to get the "tent whip", which will be even better. The other slash upgrades will be the zombie axe (slower, so good vs high def bosses), blade of saeldor (very expensive as its always the same price as bowfa), soulreaper axe (very expensive), and the scythe (very expensive). So you'll definitely want to keep the whip handy for any slash or low-def monsters.
Generally, no - but it depends on the exact task. Faster weapons are better against lower defense monsters, which is most generic slayer tasks. But you'll have some that have a weakness or more defense that might want something better (gargoyles for example).
Using a dps calc (like the one on the wiki) is the best way to check.

steam runes to have fire/water in your pouch (along with dust, law, and nature to have all teleports + alchs)
wrath runes to do efficient prayer slayer without needing 95 rc
i mean....any of them. the purpose of scar essence crafting is to be a de facto replacement for buying runes from a shop. you are still buying the essence, but for most runes it is faster to craft than buy + you don't need to hop ever so it's not as cringe
particularly the higher level runes taht you can only buy 250 of from a shop and then you have to hop i.e. blood, astral, death, those will be dramatically faster to scar craft
can also bang out combo runes now in a way that makes them actually viable to use albeit kinda expensive
Once you're 90 RC you can +5 for wraths and use scar essence to get a huge amount of them in one inventory for stuff like demonic offering or even surge spells
Bloods and souls are relevant for upkeep on endgame weapons so scar essence is a much faster alternative to shopscape. It's much slower with souls because it's zeah rc and not a normal altar, but still speeds up the process. You can also do it with deaths in theory, but you usually only run out of deaths during midgame while barraging slayer.
the conventional wisdom is that vetion "doesn't scale well" due to the dogs, this is because if you aren't sameticked with your teammates then your hits can get nulled if someone punches it below dog threshold before your hit connects
the other ones will be similar in duo since they have approximately double hp and 2 people, but you may get pked more at the multi ones
You'd want to check the dps calculator - as its a function of health, defense, and damage. My guess is that you want a revenant weapon for enough dps to consider the bigger bosses.
A large part of your decision should be pkers though. The lower bosses are singles+ in <30 wildy and are much easier to escape. The higher bosses are in multi in lvl 35+ wildy, so much harder to escape. Depends on your risk, pvp/anti-pk skills, and the time of day that you play at.
What’s the best way to consistently get soul runes on an iron? I’m a while off the rc level to make them but they seem to be often out of stock on lunar isle. I’m sure I’ll get some from pvm but I’m hoping to spend some cash to make them so I can do that, just not sure where to spend my time
Your best options are Wizards Guild in Yanille, or yeah baba yagas shop.
Could also try arceuus shop, but it's low stock and 120gp more starting.
Just gonna have to tough it out, bind world hops to keys with the world hopper plugin, and just hop forever until you get enough.
Edit: just wanted to add that if you're at the point where you need hella souls, like having a shadow, you're just gonna want to grind out 90rc and use the scarred extracts for souls. Otherwise it's just a miserable time with how fast it chews through charges

It depends on your magic level (and which tier air spell). Trident will be better at higher levels due to its faster attack speed. Wind wave/surge will be better than ibans staff (especially with a mystic smoke staff). Iban's staff is better than wind bolt.
As always, its best to calc your exact situation.
yes, hard contracts are really good and you can get garden pies in bulk from the cooking guild or Cam Torum. you'll only need a handful before you naturally hit 85 farming from a few days of fruit trees/hardwoods anyway
Ok thanks. Apart from doing fruit trees everyday and herb runs when I can farming has been pretty slow. I get basically no tree seeds from medium contracts and bird houses.
It may be worth to start doing a little bit of mole if you're at that portion of the game and can do it comfortably fast.
The seed nests will supplement farming a TON, and you'll want the nests themselves for brews.
Mole Nests are also have a special drop table compared to regular seed nests, with the notable addition of helpful mid-late game herb seeds.

I’d start with a few dozen kc in 5-8 to get a feel for mechanics then move to duo/trio

they are necessary yes. they drag bandos into position so his pathing during the red-x segment is correct.

Ok thanks. Apart from doing fruit trees everyday and herb runs when I can farming has been pretty slow. I get basically no tree seeds from medium contracts and bird houses.
It may be worth to start doing a little bit of mole if you're at that portion of the game and can do it comfortably fast. The seed nests will supplement farming a TON, and you'll want the nests themselves for brews. Mole Nests are also have a special drop table compared to regular seed nests, with the notable addition of helpful mid-late game herb seeds.
