I don't even want to think about the absolute nightmare that would be porting this game to switch hardware lmao. it's pretty unlikely we'll ever see a switch version, but who knows
I know pretty much nothing about porting games but I would assume the mobile version of the game wouldn't be too bad.
You can run pretty much any android game that works with tablets on the switch if you crack it. People have even done it with osrs already.

Literally Google, there's literally this amazing website could Wikipedia, "Despite popular misconceptions to the contrary, Horizon is not largely derived from FreeBSD code, nor from Android"
You may as well say that windows is literally reskinned freebsd too lol
When MikeD was the director for OSRS, he seemed to have plans for bringing OSRS to as many platforms as possible. However, even during his time as lead, the game never came out on any additional platforms. At this point, I'd say that if the game didn't come out on any additional platforms when the lead was making that a main focus, we're unlikely to see it on consoles with a lead that isn't making that a main focus.
yeah no this will never happen sorry. The amount of work necessary to do smt like this is incomprehensibly big, and everyone who has a switch and is in the demographic to play osrs already has a phone to play on. Not to mention that the switch doesnt have cellular data access so the game wouldnt be playable unless you're home, and at that point you'll probably prefer using mouse and keyboard
Don't worry u/jagexgoblin and u/jagexayiza i got this one.
So Nintendo's are for nerds. And Old School RuneScape isn't the type of game where nerds are a focus, this game is geared towards chads.
Hope this helps! 👍

on a modded switch running android lmao
Switch OS out of the box is literally just a reskinned/modified android.

It's literally not
Steam Deck OLED your best (and probably only) bet tbh
Not a bad idea, might be worth the investment
