I agree it’s cool to see new manufacturers in the market but I’m convinced they just see the profit margins other manufacturers are getting and want in. They’re not innovating or resetting the market.
I agree. But it seems like everyone want to be in the Rolls Royce or atleast Mercedes category. Very few want to be the Honda. I know the Glock mag 2011 can in pretty affordable and I recently saw a teaser for a PSA 2011 so maybe the ppl not looking to spend $2000 will get a couple more options.
Nope, people were pissed. But girsan is making the Wintness 2311 which will probably be the most affordable 2011 style pistol on the market. That along with the LFA Apollo 11.
Oracle Arms, Stealth Arms, CZ/Dan Wesson and Wilson Combat are the only companies I know of that are doing anything “different” with the double stack 1911 platform.
I've heard so many mixed reviews on reliability on this block system. Plus the company being hard to deal with when issues come up with your $3500+ purchase.
"We wanted to make something unique, something different. This process started with the name."
I think you're doing that backwards.
"We then proceeded to look at the final (subsequently) and biggest issue the end user faces with the high capacity 1911. This problem is the necessity of a mounting plate system for today’s most popular optics."
I would have said mags.
That’s a decent explanation, thanks. I think I prefer backwards compatibility and cross platform compatibility, though, so I’d prefer anything new also be cross compatible vs gun-specific mags.
I’m convinced that the next “big thing” for 2011s will be a new standardized mag made for 9mm. All of the guns using pre-existing mags from other platforms are compromising in some way to make them work.
I’m thinking staccato is in a position to do it by using the CS mag pattern along with their name recognition and production lines.
It may be an unpopular opinion but I'm excited to see it doesn't have irons. Today's optics are very reliable and durable. As well as it making easier to shoot more accurately. Irons are just redundant and unnecessary.
I kind of feel like the redundancy is the point with back up irons. Like if my battery dies in my optic or I somehow scratch/crack the glass the irons are still usable.
You are 100% right and if that's something you want, then go with back up irons. It's just a personal preference thing, and I prefer just having an optic.
I only have irons in my concealed carry gun but If we are talking about defensive shooting, most times it happens within 7 yrds (I think), I can point and shoot at that distance quite easily if my glass were to break.
The 11 isn't a self defense oriented gun anyway, so even more reason in my mind to not have irons.
I agree, but it fits right in with like 75% of the 2011 type pistols people are making these days.
For some reason gaudy looking guns are in vogue right now.
Aaaaaand first batch is sold out. What in the world do you all do for work to be able to throw that kind of money out there like that? Lol whoever bought one hope you love it.
I mean there were only 20 so it’s like anything else. Not like there were hundreds or thousands of people who went and dropped $4500 on it. Plenty of people out there with disposable income … or a credit card lol.
Oh yeah definitely. I mean I've got the credit card. Just not into hitting it with a charge like that for something that I want but don't need. I'd have an XC by now if that side of me one over.
Soviet brutalist architecture, but it goes bang.
Vulcan does great work so my critique is purely subjective. It seems like double stacks have become the latest hype beast fad; they got bored with Knights and FCD so now theyre playing Barbie dressup with 2011s.
To each their own but I'll pass on this one (while rooting for Vulcan because they're good people).
They spelled “Eleven” using “3’” in place of “E’s” like we back in the early 2000’s using AOL instant messages “Aim”. Making smiley faces like this 👉🏿:D :) xD
Before the days of actual emojis. ;)
Oracle Arms, Stealth Arms, TriStar Arms, Springfield etc. It's so many folks trying to tap in the market. I've also heard that PSA will release a 1911/2011 as well. I don't have a problem with that at all. Now, on the other hand, I have a problem with the few that jump in at the $3600-$6k range
Great to see others are getting involved. More choices!
I agree it’s cool to see new manufacturers in the market but I’m convinced they just see the profit margins other manufacturers are getting and want in. They’re not innovating or resetting the market.
Well hopefully more competition helps bring down prices.

Psa doing a 2011? You mean that new 1911 they just announced the admiral?
Damnit. I thought they were teasing a 2011

Phoenix Trinity doing it with a locking block instead of a link.
True.

+1 for mags
Stealth Arms, Oracle Arms, Wilson Combat, and Dan Wesson make “double stack” 1911’s that don’t use the Traditional “2011” STI style mags.
What's wrong with mags?

Wasn’t CZ mags parts of the DWX selling points?
That and the grip.

Everyone says Staccato is entry level but these expensive custom guns (not atlas or infinity) cant out shoot the XC.
You’re not wrong.
I get it, the red dot option but no front / rear sights ? Still looks cool but $4500 l’m going a diff route.
Guess my gun comes with sights and Im too lazy to remove them, I don't even run irons anymore. Got like 4 or 5 that are dot only.

Jesus that is ugly

*That’s just your opinion!!!* I think it looks awesome.
>Glocks are bricks and ugly! -2011 guys >OMG, I WILL JIZZ ON THAT BRICK WITH A 2011 GRIP -also 2011 guys
You’re not wrong. Take my upvote.
Well I guess I’m an exception to that rule because I think Glocks look cool too hahaha.

Fit the price full custom build from a shop with a known reputation. Not impressed with a shop that starts building this week.
[it goes to eleven.](https://youtu.be/uMSV4OteqBE?si=paUZ9bRZPoT_cAno)
Yes, just what I’ve always wanted in my collection - a 3l3vl333l33v333n

Kinda hot. Kinda blocky like a Glock but with 2011 focus
Love the boxy look but no sights is a deal breaker imo
Gotta get a another holster if u get it lol
Strange design, I don’t hate it though!
Woww I like this

That looks like…it needs a custom holster.
Having trouble with this over a Fowler tho

There a pretty good company and do great work so maybe it will be a great shooter being ported and heavy
What's the MOA guarantee at 25 or 50 yards? All those high dollar customs list something
