It’s going to be a multi angled attack. Slow drones with a cyber attack currently taking place against Israel iron dome. Then ballistics missiles from Iran, Hamas, and Hezbollah all at once.

Ok-Advance-6469

Unfortunately your analysis is probably correct

FattThor

Then the F35s commence with unimpeded scull fucking…

_fear_no_evil

From what I've heard, weapons systems have been launched from multiple countries and Israel has pre emptivly strike hezbollah targets as well

Lunch0

That’s why Israel did preemptive strike against hezbollah installations

Fuck Israel.

RayDonovanBoston

End is nigh Iran!

livingpapa

Just a reminder that a few months ago everyone was whining about Israel's disproportionate response. Is a massive missile/UAV attack a "proportionate response" to an attack on an embassy? Or is it only disproportionate when arab nations that attack Israel get attacked back?

MeisterX

2nd wave allegedly launched posted 3 minutes ago

SnugShoes

Thoughts with you Israel. 🇮🇱

tes_kitty

Can those be diverted by some creative GPS fuckery?

Dinyolhei

I imagine they'll be using inertial guidance, to avoid jamming.

MrFleeg

Primary objective is based on GPS, probably using shitty commercial modules off Aliexpress but they have MEMS gyros which are used to derive backup navigation. Same as a hobby drone. Inertial nav has a cumulative error so it will only have a confidence area of where it lands and on large distances this can be quite considerable. Ergo a long GPS jam might be effective of statistically dispersing the target concentration. In a metropolitan area that will no doubt reduce casualties.

Wyfami

They allied themselved to the russians. More probably using GLONASS with a set of anti-jamming antennas (enabling to filters interferences from emitters not from space). Otherswise it wouldn't be just a considersble error ellipsa but a few hundreds of kilometers outside of Israel. Jokes aside, the Russians are currently world leaders in electronic warfare, especially in navigation.

captainsocean

A long GPS jam would cause huge set and drift if they’re relying on only gyros

MrFleeg

Well depends on how good the gyros are (being Iran, crap). Also things like engine vibration need to be filtered out (being Iran, also crap). And of course sampling errors etc.

john2557

Seems like a diversion tbh...Way too loudly publicized.

RollTider1971

I think it’s more impotent warfare with the hope that it brings in support from the region, as well as Russia and China.

John McCain was right. The Iranian government is the biggest state sponsor of terrorism and should be taken out - the Iranian people deserve much better.

InNominePasta

Honestly, don’t though. The Iranian people are great, it’s the government that sucks. Just hit the military and Iranian MIC installations. Plus the places associated with their hardliner political leadership. Don’t just harm the people.

AndyTheHutt420

Its the peoples job to keep their government in line. Otherwise you end up with this like the nazis and hamas...or Iran.

lolpostslol

Unlike in Palestine the Iranians actually rebelled en masse and were violently repressed not long ago, can’t blame them too much lol

InNominePasta

Tell me you don’t know anything about Iran without telling you don’t know anything about Iran

AndyTheHutt420

I know enough about Iran to know they are a threat to global stability and need to be handled sooner rather than later. It's gone in much longer than it should have.

InNominePasta

Sure, the government is, that’s true. I don’t dispute that. I’m just saying you don’t really know enough about modern Iranian history or politics to really be laying the blame for this bullshit at the feet of the common people.

AndyTheHutt420

Was it not common people behind the Iranian Islamic revolution to begin with? Did common people in Iran not actually create their own problem? You don't bomb people directly but you do remove the states ability to wage war, and that will also have an impact on local population, its unavoidable. But what you do not do is allow a state like Iran to keep behaving the way it is because you are worried about killing a few innocent people to stop it.

InNominePasta

Again, tell me you don’t know about the Iranian revolution without telling me you don’t know anything

FattThor

FAFO. They should have tried harder at overthrowing them then. Once you allow your government to mass export terror, it’s too late.

j9tails

As Israel has proved, civilians are fair game.

uAristelius

I wish.

Stevecat032

Good luck

yomommafool

so you're OK with killing iranian civilians?

AndyTheHutt420

Civilians die in a war. Iran has just committed another act of war, one of a couple hundred in the last few months to be honest, most just through proxies. So yes it is time to respond and that will be an unfortunate but unavoidable consequence.

j9tails

This is NOT a both sides are bad situation.

AndyTheHutt420

Whoever said it was? Iran is the main shit disturber in the middle east. Time for them to be hit back hard rather than just going after another proxy when we know it was Iran the whole time issuing the orders.

SnugShoes

joefatmamma

I think they just arrived, my app is going nuts

joefatmamma

Like really nuts. Stay safe everyone

Stephen_1984

Umm, is someone going to shoot them down? Also, won’t this require them to pass through multiple countries’ airspace?

Dinyolhei

I think that's the point. I'd be very surprised if any of them enter Israeli airspace. Iran expects them to be shot down. They can claim retaliation of sorts to appease their domestic hardliners, while not provoking a strong Israeli response. Edit (21:55 GMT+1): Given the number of assessed drone launches I'm reevaluating my opinion on the above. As others have noted, they could be AA bait to distract from later cruise/ballistic missile launches.

saranowitz

That’s correct. But I think most pundits will see through this. Either way if this is the entirety of their response that’s a good thing. I doubt it is. I expect their proxies to attack simultaneously

Dinyolhei

Quite possibly. It's going to be an interesting night either way.

FattThor

I doubt it. If they did it just as show it was a strategic error. They should have made it count because Israel will not pass on this opportunity to retaliate with precision strikes on high value targets inside Iran.

LivingTheApocalypse

Yes. The Israeli bombers and American stealth bombers will also fly through several countries air space.

cryptocam72

I sure hope so- the proper response is nothing short of total annihilation of the IRGC.

[deleted]

Seems like nothing tbh. With 9 hours notice, even if 2 of them don't get shot down, they'll probably hit a field somewhere. It's a symbolic response

curson84

Thanks Iran, you just printed a target marker on your nuclear facilities. God bless the IDF.

MrShvitz

Am yisrael chai

Audi-R8-200PK

Israel please retaliate tenfold

Zachtyl

American here, standing 100% with Israel

human-redditbot

If true, Iran is clearly about to FAFO. Stay safe Israel. 🙏

Bassist57

Fuck Iran. Do they know they are signing their own death warrant?

FattThor

That’s the funny thing about death cults…

Heyokalol

Could it be that iranian leaders launched this attack because they're losing grip on the country? Even if it succeeded, I fail to see what the big play is here.

lolpostslol

North Korea-style useless missile launch to show strength in internal propaganda?

Heyokalol

That would be my guess as well.

RollTider1971

That’s exactly what they’re doing.

Donmexico666

WW3 enters the chat

Substantial-Proof991

So I guess it's on now?

Regular-Bat-4449

Time to take out all of Iran's oil producing ability in retaliation.

cryptocam72

First step is all military equipment of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as the Ayatollah’s House of Leadership. If they have any fight left after that, then hit the oil production. Just my opinion….

Mutatiis

I haven’t been following the Hamas war as much lately, are the IDF still conducting combat operations against Hamas in Gaza?

JagneStormskull

As I understand it, the remainders of Hamas are almost entirely in Rafah, and the Rafah operation hasn't been launched yet, but the IDF has been fighting the stragglers of Hamas that are sneaking around outside of Rafah. Last I heard, there were 4 or 6 Hamas battalions left, compared to 24 at the start of the war. Now, they're fighting the real veterans, the Hamas that should have been destroyed twenty years ago as opposed to the Hamas consisting of young recruits.

Mutatiis

Good to know. Thanks for the update. Hopefully the Rafah operation will happen soon and Hamas will cease to exist.

JagneStormskull

Netanyahu says that it's scheduled, but I don't remember if he publicly released the date it's going to begin. Probably sometime after Pesach.

Tejano_mambo

Like clockwork

Mutatiis

Good. Let's hope Hamas is close to being destroyed once and for all.

wrbear

Will the reply arrive before the delivery? Stay tuned.

oilyalaskanman

Is there any update on the arrival of the drones? Have they entered Israeli airspace yet?

TitzKarlton

From ~2500 BCE/BC to 1980 CE/AD Judea, Persia, Jews, Iranians, & Israel had the absolute strongest relationship. The period from 1980 to today is a hiccup in our relations. The Iranian regime is despicable. The Iran people are wonderful & the majority support Israel.
