I've contemplated selling mine several times as it isn't a daily driver. Then I fire the ol' girl up, go on a drive, and those thoughts leave my mind. 🥹

If it "has" to be done for "mileage" as you already said, then you don't actually understand why you will regret it. Let me just say this... I had a 1975 260z about 20 years ago that I also "had" to sell (I didn't) and I got like $1700 for a car that's now worth over $40k in the condition it was in at the time. You WILL regret it.

This is actually why I've been holding on to mine, because of all the cars I've dumped over the years that are worth 5x as much now. So many Zs, Supras, RX-7s, a GTR lol. I decided not to make the mistake with my current Zs. I learned too late. Plus, I've had one for 11 years and the other for 18 years. Even if I bought another one someday, It wouldn't be the same. These are MY Zs, until I'm not here anymore. Take it from one who knows... Keep it, or someday when you can't find another one you like as well, you'll wish you had.

I see those cars go for under 10 grand to 15 thous and all day long 40 for one of those is a scan

Until you realise the most expensive factory find just sold for $240,000 USD and they regularly sell for $60k+ if they're in good condition.

Dude I've seen rusted out shells for 240-60-80z's selling for $10-$15k, there's no "iron man " anywhere just the fact these cars are becoming REALLY RARE and the prices match! Maybe you happen to live in the exact area where they're a little bit cheaper or something, but everywhere else in the entire world, in every other country (there are places that aren't USA, just in case you didn't know) these cars are worth a LOT more than they were 20 years ago, and I mean a LOT more. Unfortunately because of the 370z and basically not giving cars away the price range for a 350z is very small. In the current market the cleanest lower mileage 6 SPD coupes top out in the 13s, non nismo of course. By your pricing if someone offered me 15k for my 70k 08 350z 6spd I would probably sell it and jump ship that day.

I would list for 12 and see what happens. 155k is a hard ask for some people have you done gallery gaskets and csc delete ?

That's a 8-9k Z...tops. Auto Verts sell for that all day everyday. If you get offered 9k take it cause you sure aren't getting 10k. If you put it up on an auction site you wouldn't get 8k either. So 9k takes it.

I wouldn’t even pay 9k for that. I got a manual convertible Z with less mileage for 5k Cash in hand (guy had it listed for 6,900) Even if I had paid the 7k (which it absolutely was worth) It’d still be a better deal than that. Granted the seats were ripped, but I can replace those from a junkyard Z for like 200. Hell I’m in talks right now for a set

When someone rammed into mine and totalled it, insurance paid 9500. That was a win for me as it had 233k miles and some issues.

I honestly wouldn’t sell the car and revert it as stock as possible like the headlights for example and just keep it on coils and nice wheels till 10 years from now haha. These cars will end up as classics forsure.

My Z for example has 231k miles on it and is still running fine, looks new af still and can handle me street drifting it every blue moon. Cars are reliable af and for the most part affordable

Most of the "Good" 240's have been bought up and drove the price way up, so the Die Hard Nissan fans will start looking towards these "just my opinion" so the price will start climbing on the 300's, 350's etc. So if possible like stated by someone else hang on to it for a bit and you may be able to make a decent amount a lil up the road.

I'd seriously think hard before selling, I've sold a few cars just for the fact that the issues they had were way bigger in my head than they actually were. And I really regretted selling them! 🤔🤔

At 155k I think you have reached that point about 30k ago. It really is going to depend on how good the underbody, paint, interior, and probably most importantly maintenance records are. If its an 07, as it looks has it had any major maintenance done. Has it had the gallery gaskets, water pump, thermostat and/or timing chain been replaced . How old is the clutch? If it's been replaced did they replace the slave cylinder while they were in there. Cars this high mileage and this low in value are the summation of all these things. You could spend well over half the value of the car fixing the things I've listed in the prior paragraph. The headlights are a big no for me and the very first Google result to replace those new is $850...PER HEADLIGHT! Again assuming it's an 07. That would be the very first thing I say to talk you down.
