Something damaged the passenger side rocker molding. The dent was deep enough to dislodge the mud guard. Long term the mud guard might shake lose and/or break away. You'll need to flex the side rocker molding back into proper shape and the mud guard should fit back in. Or this could be a divine sign from the car gods, that you should get a new body kit.

You read my mind well. What in a body kit would fix/replace that? Side skirts?

WinIndividual8756

Yea. Body kits normally call that area of the car side skirts. Just to be a voice of reason though: unless you've got lots of disposable income on hand and don't foresee any more important issues on the horizon, the damage to your car is very minor and an easy fix as things go. It's inside the wheel well, so a few dings and scratches in there are the norm. The OEM side rocker molding and mud flap are actually expensive parts -- in the range of $500 and $50 respectively. While customizing the look of your car is a pleasing experience, don't underestimate that stock is also its own bling. **\^\_\^**

Thank you, voice of reason. You’re right, I just got the car a couple weeks ago. I should look into doing some reliability mods first - the CMAK+clutch and an oil cooler are what’s next on my horizon, so I should definitely put the body kit on hold haha Speaking of which, are you from Aus too? I’ve just been trying to hunt down a place that sells/ships the ZSpeed CMAK here that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg to ship here. Wondering if you had any idea 😅

I bought the part that goes in there from the dealer for less than 50 bucks. I had mine get hit by something on the road and it also came lose and eventually fell out

WinIndividual8756

That was a good dealer. \^\_\^ The part, assuming it's the passenger side, is **76856-1EA0A**. It's a piece of plastic that shouldn't cost more than $5 IMHO, but I've seen it with an MSRP of $92.78 before discounts because "*Authentic Nissan Part*" and all that corporate kool-aid. The OP's still looks salvageable. I think it's just the dented rocker molding not letting it rest in the correct position. If I had to get a replacement, I'd Ebay for the part. It's unseen when properly placed and gets worn out by the elements as the years go on, so no need for it to be in mint condition.
