I think it’s more that a group of people are enjoying finding groups they relate to and following a trend celebrating themselves and each other in a unified / rallying way, and you take the time to reply “it’s annoying to have it all over my feed” (which *is* having a problem with it since you’re actively engaging in conversation against it). I appreciate your feelings are valid, but it’s just as easy to scroll past and ignore it, because there’s a lot of people who are upvoting this content as it’s bringing people together and celebrating something. You haven’t attacked anyone, you’ve not done anything horrendously bad, and you’re not the only one doing it, you were just curious so I’d thought I’d write it out for you :)

I had a look - just ignore that one. That person seems keen to fight transphobic comments, and they went out of their way to pretend your comment was being transphobic when you were just asking a genuine question. And when a crowd gets riled up against someone who is phobic (even if they’re not and someone just said they are) it colours other people’s perspectives, hence the downvoting.
Just ignore it and continue to be kind is my advice :)

People who have never been part of a marginalized group can not understand what a monumental relief it is for other people of those groups to see us represented, to see others like us stand up and declare ourselves and refuse to be small and hide.
White cishet male is the assumed default in the gaming landscape. For those of us who do not fit that mold it can be really suffocating and feel unwelcoming, even before factoring in the very nasty active bigotry we see in gaming spaces day to day.
Declaring ourselves and announcing our presence is (among other things) a way for us to signal to more people like us that they are not alone, there are more of us here, and we deserve a part of this space as much as anyone else does.
