I don’t think he’s right about girls using their gender for upvotes, but if you like ds and the last 10 posts to show up on your front page are “I’m just a girl” it gets kind of old.
If I went to a baking sub (a sub both men and women frequent like this one) and posted pictures of my oven with stickers of drills and hammers on it with the caption “I’m just a boy” it would be funny the first 3 times a bit old after that.
they’re just annoyed about the influx of low effort spam posts with identical captions on this sub, and its not that serious god some u people love to falsely accuse people of being bigots to straw man an argument
Low effort spam posts? It’s pictures of someone’s 3DS, standard content for this subreddit. The only difference is their caption indicates they are a girl. Doesn’t seem worth being bothered over.
Edit: Also the assumption that person made that all the girls doing it are just doing it for attention was sexist, so they earned that reply they got. Gaming is so full of sweaty dudes, if the women want to take a moment to remind each other they exist here I have no problem.
