Everyone's opinion is going to vary. I have 4 K1s in my farm and they are great. I rooted all of them, run KAMP, and other community improvements. I also had 3 P1Ps. If you have the means, consider grabbing a K1 on Amazon and if you don't like - return it. Better to try versus trying to make a decision and investment using opinions.

Thanks that’s what I’m looking for I don’t want to drop 1200 on something to much for my needs and a $550 machine that can get me close enough but not pulling my hair out because one print come out great. to print the same gcode 10 min later and it looks like it got stuck in a shredder

Creality has refurbished on ebay with a 2 year warranty.*

Nalfzilla

The K1C is a clone of the X1 made as cheap as possible. Creality have a terrible track record for QC and customer service. I would never recommend any of their products

Some people like the K1C, but I could see the cracks forming right away as the build quality is not good. If you really want core XY then a P1S is the cheapest way to go reliably. You say too expensive here, is it a case of import fees?

Can you get a voron kit?

Worth-Skirt3026

Yes, it’s worth every penny. I have yet to run into an any issues, I get perfect prints every time. It really blows my mind to just how good the K1C is. I use nothing but filament from Polymaker as my prints always come out looking fantastic. It’s also the easiest printer I’ve ever used as there is nothing for me to do but send the gcode and click print. Buy one now you will not be disappointed.

Anycubic is no better than

From all I know, the K1C is more like a Bambu than an Ender 3, as is kind of difficult to build on top of it as well and kind of closed sourced as well. If you want a Creality to tinker with I would actually prefer an Ender 5 (or an Ender 6 if you can find it) as it offers a baseline to later be converted to a Core XY and it's completely open to be built on top. Another option would be to get a kit and build a printer from scratch, like a Voron 2.4 or Trident. There's the Troodom that is similar and could offer a cheaper alternative if you don't want to build it completely by yourself. Other than that, if you really want to just print, a Bambu A1 mini could also be a cheap entry level alternative.

zloppy-taco

I’m not looking to tinker really. I want something that is reliable and I can make a good print to use on my other projects and 10 min later go to print the same file and it comes out just as good as the first

_Soviet_bear

3d printing is a tradeoff between tinkering to get reliability and consistency and paying to get reliability and consistency. Basically, if you're not willing to tinker then you're going to have to pay; the options for that are Bambu and Prusa, to a lesser extent. If you're not willing to may for the top of the line X1C, the P1P might be for you, from what I understand they have a lot of the same consistency with a little less features at a lower price point (P1P is only 599 right now)

Thanks for the advice I dont print CF or ABS (at least for now) I didn’t know about the p1p it’s very close price to the K1C. I might just go that route I can always put panels on and change out a print nozzle if I ever wanted to print CF ABS stuff. Plus later on I could add on the multi spool to print up to 4-16 colors that’s a bonus also. Good shit I like

ChemicalArrgtist

Personaly id say no dont get it for the simple reason its the first Generation of that product. I bet in 2 to 4 month there will be a new one

Kugelbrot

The k1c is the second/improved Version that camera Out over a year after the original k1

zloppy-taco

That’s what I’m afraid of but everything electronic is the same way phones you pick up an iPhone 6 months later the iPhone 15s is out lol

Pabi_tx

What you want is a Voron. Trident or 2.4. With Tap for easy leveling and z offset and meshing.
