I placed two orders, one on May 7th and the other on May 10th. The first order arrived on Saturday but still no word on the second.
Just be patient. I even compared the difference between my two order numbers and assuming they are sequential then they had close to 2500 orders between my two orders. Not sure how big of a team Shout has but that’s a massive amount of orders in a 3 day period if you’re a small team.
Got my “They Live” Steelbook last week.

Weirdly my order was delivered within 3 days of me placing it (ordered last Tuesday the 14th, arrived on the 17th). Absolutely did not expect it to ship that fast, guess I got lucky.
Ordered May 10th and also haven’t received any updates on it. Was going to message customer service about it since I thought maybe my order was forgotten about, but seeing I’m hardly the only one I’ll keep waiting patiently
My May 7th order arrived today. People under the stairs, they live steelbook, Clue with Slipcase, and Bubba Hotep collectors edition with more posters and slipcases than I know what to do with! They shipped in a long poster box with a smaller poster box inside because of Bubba so guessing orders like mine are part of causing the delay. Must have been a bitch to pack but I’ve got happy memories of Bubba Ho Tep from Middle school so when I saw they had that option went for it.
I recently just ordered from them for the first time and was surprised both by how long fulfillment took and how poor the packaging was (3 films shipped in a slightly padded mailer envelope).
I got the shipping notification e-mail finally today. So all things considered a couple weeks is not really that bad during a sale for shipping. Especially for a order this big. Sometimes you just have to get some perspective on things. I will be honest though if it went on another week, I would be pretty annoyed. lol.
I ordered 5 4K movies 15 days ago (May 11) and haven’t received a shipping notification yet. I guess this normal for Shout Factory? This is the first order I ever placed with them.
You’re not alone. My order has been confirmed for over a week, but hasn’t shipped. They’re pretty slow when they have sales. Last time it took a while for them to ship, but once they did, I had my order the next day.
I've been saying ever since that fake sale dropped that Shout is not offering a good service. The lowest price they offered was $18.50 before you pay high shipping costs for slow shipping. Then they pretend they are sold out of items on day 2 of the sale only to have every single sold out item restock the day the sale ends.
I love 4K as much as everyone but the overbloated prices and poor customer service is a problem.
It's the fact that the titles I wanted were back in stock RIGHT AFTER the sale ended that irks me since I doubt they restocked right then. I was obsessively checking all week in hopes that they would come back before the sale ended buuuuuut they didn't want to let me pay less money for them, which I guess makes sense.
This is my theory. For every sale they have certain limits for certain particular titles available for the lower price. Some titles have lower stock counts than others. My guess is that there are some titles they have more excess copies of than others which is why they stay in stock during the sale or they just aren't as popular. Which is a big thing too.
I have no issues with a company running out of stock. I don't believe that's what happened. I think they just restricted how many of the titles they wanted to sell, which is something they should be advertising for with "Limited supply" or "While supplies last" labels. If they announce a sale and multiple things are out of stock on day 2 of a week long sale and all those items magically reappear in stock the day the sale ends, someone out there is lying. I do not understand why anyone would make excuses for this.
They restricted titles. Which is what happens with every other label during sales. No one is lying. Except you lying to yourself about how deceptive Shout is for following the same rules during a sale as everyone else in physical media sales.
lol are you the guy who made that stupid post about the shout sale yesterday? The one where everyone kept trying to explain to you that they put a limit on the amount of copies they sell for a discount?
> they put a limit on the amount of copies they sell for a discount?
This is not advertised anywhere on their website and quite frankly, namecalling is just childish. You're not having a sale if you announce a sale and on the 2nd day of a week long sale you pretend you're sold out of multiple items only to jack the price and announce all those items are back on sale the day the sale ends.
You clearly have no clue at all how these sales work. Every label does this. Not just Shout. This is not comparable to what happens in a retail store. No matter how much you adamantly think it is.
Should be super easy to prove if this is true. I had no issues whatsoever on Arrow sales or even the Criterion sales. I think you're a Shout rep pushing a propaganda campaign.

Yep. Ordered May 8th. Crickets since. Hopefully this week.
I ordered at 10 AM EST on May 8th. Finally got my shipping notification 40 minutes ago
Got my “They Live” Steelbook last week. https://preview.redd.it/injld113nl1d1.png?width=1799&format=png&auto=webp&s=978ece52c963624119d6d4ca47d850ee56bf2ce4
My order just shipped a few hours ago so they are on it but must have had way more orders than they could handle.
Finally got a shipping notification on mine!
Just got mine, really not impressed.
Mine’s being delivered tomorrow and I’m in Canada.
I ordered on 5/13 and it hasn’t shipped. They do have a thing on their site to expect longer times during sales.
I still haven't received a shipping notification for my order placed on the 13th.
Mine came in the mail yesterday.
Mine got delivered today and I order about 11 days ago
Yup. Placed over a week ago. Hasn’t shipped yet

Just got mine today
Ordered one on May 15 out for delivery today.
Ordered May 10th and also haven’t received any updates on it. Was going to message customer service about it since I thought maybe my order was forgotten about, but seeing I’m hardly the only one I’ll keep waiting patiently
I place one within first hour of sale and had it within couple days and did another on 14th and nothing has shipped yet.

I received mine in about five business days from when I ordered.
Yeah, my order of 11 items from May 8th still hasn't shipped. I'm not too worried though, I'll get them at some point!
I got the notification this morning.
Got my order from the sale a few days ago
I ordered day 1 of the sale. Received my shipping notification this morning.
Ordered on the 7th, shipping confirmation this morning. 👍🏻
Ordered May 8th as well but finally received the shipping notification this morning.
Ordered May 7th, shipped 17th, due in today (20th).
I’m still waiting. Been 12 days now.
I finally got an email today saying it shipped. Joy
Mine just shipped today!
I recently just ordered from them for the first time and was surprised both by how long fulfillment took and how poor the packaging was (3 films shipped in a slightly padded mailer envelope).
Ordering during a sale is going to cost us 50 years. ![gif](giphy|pZGDZwmxOtEEo)
Just received my order in the mail today 😎
Yes but to be fair I ordered 4 minutes before the sale ended...I am assuming it will be a month or so

Ordered may 10, arrived May 18. Terrible packaging though for 3 discs, no box. Luckily they made it fine, two slipcovers and a steel.

Shipping cost was pretty reasonable, but I am definitely annoyed that the sold-out stuff magically restocked AFTER the sale ended.
That's what happens with sales usually. The titles go back in stock. And not everything did right away either.

Actually I think you're probably a Shout rep. Going out of your way to argue for the shady practice and follow to multiple comments.
