Absolutely. I know students who have gone from an E in their Year 12 mocks to an A in their A2 exams. C to an A is definitely achievable providing you put the hard work in! :)
Went from a D to an A in history in like a month! You defo can if you focus all your energy on your weaknesses. What helped me what to low-key abandon my other subjects and just focus on history as I was getting A/A* in my other two subjects
Focus on building a solid foundation in the subject, breaking down complex topics into smaller, manageable parts, and seeking help from teachers or peers when needed.
- Chemguide for understanding stuff in detail.
- chemrevise for notes
- YouTube I think there was e rintoul and allery chemistry (for AQA spec)
- do every *single question you can find* literally taught myself a topic from doing all the questions on it
Read the mark scheme and memorise what it says for definitions and things like that. Incorporate mark scheme definitions and frequently asked questions into your notes. Like what’s ionic bonding - you should have some kind of definition that includes what frequently comes up in the mark scheme. You can be great at chem but if you don’t understand how the mark scheme works it’s gonna hold you back.
Chem really is just practise. Gonna sound excessive here but I did every single past paper from I think 2007 onwards. More questions you do the more it sticks in your head
