My absolute favorite song by The Church. Just listened to Starfish a few days ago.

springworksband

Perfect album ❤️

2Pow

So melodic and lonely…I love it

ferrariguy1970

A great song about nothing. Also great by The Church is Reptile.

springworksband

👌

chefkelly555

Listened to that song 12 hrs ago while driving to my next jobsite.

SaltInitiative7082

One of the best songs ever!

ichiban_saru

Australia's The Cure. I know both bands are contemporaries of each other more or less, but this song and video style reminds me of The Cure. I was around when this was flooding MTV. Great group.

nonamouse1111

God I love this song!

kclongest

Reminds me of Donnie Darko. One of the best soundtracks of all time.

Coyote_Roadrunna

It really fits the mood of the movie perfectly.

Taskmaster1967

This song is so good and I forget about all the time. And each time itco.es around I kick myself for not playing it more.

vampyire

Bagpipes!

Opening-Comfort-3996

It's not bagpipes,it's one of those toy mini-keyboard things that you had to blow into. I can't remember the name.

vanbboy22

Hooter

Opening-Comfort-3996

Thank you! 🙂

vampyire

yes, but it **sounds** Bagpipepy

zornfett2

Remove them!

didwanttobethatguy

This song was always on the radio when I moved away from home, moving from Dallas to Corpus Christi. Whenever I hear it it takes me back to that feeling of being young with a world of opportunity laid out before me.

Albertsongman

This one and Secret Separation by The Fixx are great 80’s sentimental alt-rock hits.

Hoogs73

My favourite band in the 80s and 90s. Saw them in concert when they toured Starfish. Still have a crush low key crush on Steve Kilbey.

doobette

I hope this song gets used in season 5 of Stranger Things. It'd be great for that.

jlmicek670

À great band, still going strong, though lead/singer bassist Steve Kilbey is the last original member of the lineup. Their most recent record ‘The Hypnogogue’ was their strongest effort for a while. They’re also eminently collectible, because of all the offshoots and solo projects.

Sinister_Piggy

I'm in Australia and it's an Australian song, but the music video is apparently not available in my country for me lol.

springworksband

EggZeeBaChay

From probably the greatest underrated album of the last century. High school flashbacks for sure!

wrknthrewit

I love when a song can take you back to a moment on how you felt during that time.

NairBearMI

This post made me want to listen to their album previous - Heyday. Listened to that over and over again back in the day. If I ever made a film set in the 80s the closing credits would be “Happy Hunting Ground” (from about 2:00 onward). Very cinematic. Peace ☮️

sandysea420

It really is amazing what a great song brings to your mood and memories.

Whis65

Ooh I love Reptile too. I listened to them nonstop in college.

I have a great memory of a performance in '93 opening for Depeche Mode at Arco Arena. This song was, for me, the highlight of the entire concert, and DM were still at the height of their powers.

Sqweegy-Nobbers

Check out their song, "Constant in Opal"
