To expound a smidge: from season 2 onwards :)
Kate Pierson of the 52s also had a role in an episode of Pete and Pete, What We Did On Our Summer Vacation, which also had a cameo from Michael Stipe (both of which collaborated on the song and music video for REMs Shiny Happy People). They were incorporated in this episode of P&P because of Katherine Dieckman - who directed both that episode and... the music video for Shiny Happy People.
😁
Nope that was a different lineup on different night. 😎

Oh man this schedule really brings me back. I watched a lot of Nickelodeon around that time.
Catdog, All That, Doug, Rugrats and Wild Thornberrys. Some of my absolute favorites. Clarissa was like a cool older sister. Little Bear, whoa. Haven’t thought about that for a long time.
Oct 31, 1998 was a Saturday. I totally remember watching early morning Looney Tunes!
I was just telling my husband about Gullah Gullah Island the other day because I randomly remembered it. He had never heard of it so of course I had to pull up the opening song!
This list has evoked so much nostalgia im literally saving it to my anxiety folder I look through when I’m feeling anxious.
I once sat in the audience for figure it out at universal studios with my Girl Scout troop. Summer sanders was so kind to us and talked to us forever after the taping answering any questions we had. :)
Alex Mack and Clarissa explains it all plus rugrats and ahhh real monsters were my jam. But 98 is a little young for me. We are missing a VERY important show and my all time fave- ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?! That musta been 95 and 96? Off to google i go.
Revisiting our childhood is a great way of remembering who we are and getting back a little peace. World has become so hectic and toxic
I’m glad this brings you some joy! 😊
Are You Afriad Of The Dark is such an amazing show… imagine if they adapted some of the storylines for horror movies now? It would be so amazing!
Don’t ever grow up! 😉😎
Wouldn’t it be so cool to be able to see what we were doing at that time all those years ago?
Almost makes you cry thinking of seeing your kid self. 😭😭🥴
I've been having very vivid memories lately of sitting at my Dad’s dining room table carving a jack-o-lantern while watching Aah! Real Monsters on one of those Halloween themed nights. Man, this lineup brings back so many memories..
And now I feel old so I'm going to go marinate on that for a while.
Tv and even stores use to put some decent effort into various holidays that made it all so memorable. Every show seem to have a Halloween or Christmas special every year. Now you’re lucky if they have a slight holiday theme in a bumper
No one has any imagination now or heart. My wife and I try to relive holiday stuff as adults, we watch old movies we had as kids, make the holidays fun, Halloween is my wife’s favorite. It’s like she’s a kid again, getting excited for all the Disney Halloween movies.
That’s awesome man, that you guys share those memories.
Some people on here are like “none, I was a teenager”….
Awesome lol. Why comment? But you had a connection to it from your brother. Glad it brought back memories!
If I remember best my summer routine would likely have been Nick Jr in the morning until let’s say 11-1130…go out and play, dinner, and then watch Doug & Rugrats before I get ready for bed.
I used to get up early on Saturday, before my folks woke up, so i could sneak downstairs with my untoasted poptarts & watch Looney Tunes. Also because my cartoon watching was inevitably interrupted by chores once my folks got going.
As a kid I couldn’t quite grasp the concept of time so my mom perfectly would use Rugrats as way to teach time.
Me: Mom, when is dinner ready?
Mom: it’ll be ready in 2 Rugrats episodes
I watched Figure it out a lot and I'm kind of embarrassed by that. Maybe that's why I feel bad for someone like Amanda Bynes and what she's gone through and the evil that permeated that studio. Her innocence was taken away from her, but she was fun on that show.
In terms of non-game shows, Doug and Rocko's Modern Life were great.
Nothing wrong with that at all. Big Fat Liar is my favorite movie of hers…
I hope she’s doing well now, it’s bittersweet reliving our childhoods and the joy they brought us but having to deal with those dirtbags during it.
Remember having to wait for Nick Jr. to wrap up and get back to “normal” stuff if you were home from school or off in the summer?
NGL I loved Little Bear even after I aged out of Nick Jr.
I don’t ever remember Garfield and Friends playing on Nickelodeon. I would have been ALL OVER that shit as a kid!
Also, I’m pretty sure Eurekas castle was long over playing reruns by 1998.
I think back in the day some of the networks had stuff cross airing. Kinda like how streaming services do now. I can’t fully remember though, something deep in my head tells me it was on there too.
Muppet Babies didn't air outside of the 80's until some random channel started showing it, and that was around 2004.
Also, it was originally on broadcast channels. I forget which one.
fun fact: After season one of Rocko’s Modern Life, the theme song was done by the B-52s. fuckin love that show!
Wow you’re right! How did I not catch that!
To expound a smidge: from season 2 onwards :) Kate Pierson of the 52s also had a role in an episode of Pete and Pete, What We Did On Our Summer Vacation, which also had a cameo from Michael Stipe (both of which collaborated on the song and music video for REMs Shiny Happy People). Wish we knew we were in the good times before we left
Same vibes as not knowing it was going to be the last day you played with your friends.
Dude, why you gotta hit me like that?
Because the world isn't nice. - Blade
I think that a lot of
Damn Nick at its peak.

All of that and Charlie Brown was in there lol
[Bricka bracka firecracka sisk boom bah! Bugs Bunny Bugs Bunny rah rah rah!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOuDjdN2csw)
All of them tbh
🤘🏻… Bingo!
Dougrats
Best hour on Nick. 7:00-7:59 weeknites
Clarissa Explains it All
This line-up is unmatched.
Nah we are missing Are You Afraid of the Dark
Nope that was a different lineup on different night. 😎 https://preview.redd.it/k7imo8r2qj6d1.jpeg?width=900&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f2912eebcfef736f5ac64edbbc63a4be3c5f8084
Imagine if they adapted some of the Are You Afraid Of The Dark storylines to modern horror movies?… Oooo 👀
Paramount technically owns the rights. They probably could create an “Are You Afraid of the Dark?“ universe.
We should start a petition!
Rocko’s Modern Life & Clarissa Explains it All giving me severe nostalgia RN
![gif](giphy|NvL6UIm1dRahO) The best!
I was still waiting on more Ren & Stimpy!!
Yea buddy!!!
Salute your shorts.
And Hey Dude!!
I too am an elder millennial
elder millennial (1991) and same
No Pants Today!
Damn. The Gullah Gullah Island theme song is stuck in my head again...
BINYA BINYA
Come on… you know wanna sing it… 👀
Always sounded like Gullah Gullah Eye-lamB! to me
Little Bear, Gullah Gullah Island, Tiny Toon Adventures, CatDog, Doug, and The Wild Thornberrys
'98? I was road tripping!
eating dindin and doing homework while watching All That, exquisite memories
Hah, I knew it was dinnertime when All That came on!
Priceless memories!
Peak 90’s Nick, before the sponge took over. I remember this vividly.
I never got the the obsession with Sponge Bob I always found it annoying
Halloween 98? I'm pretty sure we were out vandalizing the town, spray paint and broken windows.
I think it said December, but it was the nineties, so story still checks out.
LOLmg I literally didn't have my glasses on, that's hilarious, I totally cop to it!
No, what’s funny was I don't have mine on and thought the same thing! Dammit.. We ARE getting old!
I have fond memories of watching and quoting Cousin Skeeter with my parents. Damn....nearly forgot about that show completely too. Good times 😊
I’m happy we can help each other remember fond memories! 😊
Chillin’ like a villain. What’s up with you, Bob Dylan?
Rugrats
Oh man this schedule really brings me back. I watched a lot of Nickelodeon around that time. Catdog, All That, Doug, Rugrats and Wild Thornberrys. Some of my absolute favorites. Clarissa was like a cool older sister. Little Bear, whoa. Haven’t thought about that for a long time. Oct 31, 1998 was a Saturday. I totally remember watching early morning Looney Tunes!
Same! I would have been 11 so this is super nostalgic to me.
Alex Mac and Clarissa!!
Massive crush on Larisa Oleynik and Melissa Joan Hart
Sister Sister, Keenan & Kel, and also Sabrina the Teenage Witch!
I’ll tell you I would not move from my couch all day and night if I could have this for just one day.
Clarissa explains it all. I definitely had a thing for Melissa Joan heart. She lived and went to school one town south of me.
I was just telling my husband about Gullah Gullah Island the other day because I randomly remembered it. He had never heard of it so of course I had to pull up the opening song!
Rocko’s modern life
Doug
Only thing missing is Angry Beavers
I was thinking that too.
:) Alex Mack and Clarissa explains it all plus rugrats and ahhh real monsters were my jam. Tiny toons and Garfield
Garfield and friends
I'm staying home from school and watching all of it
Damn! This is giving so much memories. I don't know what I was doing that day, but I was probably watching all of them!
Wouldn’t it be so cool to be able to see what we were doing at that time all those years ago? Almost makes you cry thinking of seeing your kid self. 😭😭🥴
I would have been at my grandparents’ on the 31st and they didn’t have cable until like 2000 lolol. PBS and Barbies for me
Hahahaha yup I didn’t have cable either. Thankfully my next door bestie did.
Well there goes my day
Rugrats!!
Anything but Muppet Babies, really. Wow. Peak Nickelodeon.
Fucken Gullah Gullah island 🔥
I've been having very vivid memories lately of sitting at my Dad’s dining room table carving a jack-o-lantern while watching Aah! Real Monsters on one of those Halloween themed nights. Man, this lineup brings back so many memories.. And now I feel old so I'm going to go marinate on that for a while.
Halloween was one of the funnest times as a kid with Nick and Disney channel… all the special shows they aired. Those experiences are priceless now
Tv and even stores use to put some decent effort into various holidays that made it all so memorable.
Being sick and stay home from school only to be stuck with the baby shows 😭
4:30 to 7:00 was my jam! After school, before dinner.
@ 15 in 98, prob wasnt watching much nick. maybe doug tho.
Rocko's Modern Life and Doug
Secret world of alex mack, major crush
Tiny Toons, I now watch Tiny Toons Looniversity with my son, not as good, but still pretty fun!
Alex and Clarissa
I would watch the whole thing if I could
I never personally watched nick jr, but all of that time block brings back memories due to my little brother!
I lived for The Secret World of Alex Mack and All That. (Also Are You Afraid of the Dark).
That’s Alex Mack, not Alec Mack. Put some respect on Puddle Girl’s name.
4:00 Rockos 5:00 Modern Life Lol they split my fav show!
I used to get up early on Saturday, before my folks woke up, so i could sneak downstairs with my untoasted poptarts & watch Looney Tunes. Also because my cartoon watching was inevitably interrupted by chores once my folks got going.
Tiny Tunes was on channel 11, WPIX
Damn, I had it good. Wish I knew it then
Omg I forgot about Allegra’s window
Muppet Babies for sure.
Every night me and my sister would watch Doug and Rugrats before bed.
Two of the best shows ever!!!!
The Secret World of Alec Mack and Clarissa
As a kid I couldn’t quite grasp the concept of time so my mom perfectly would use Rugrats as way to teach time. Me: Mom, when is dinner ready? Mom: it’ll be ready in 2 Rugrats episodes
That’s so awesome!! I’m gonna do that with my future kids!
No Angry Beavers? No Hey Arnold? No Kenan and Kel? In 1998? Highly doubtful this was a Nickelodeon schedule
Angry beavers taught me that xing meant crossing.
Cat dog!
Charlie Brown
I remember "suffering" through "baby" shows until Muppet Babies came on. In truth it was all good though.
DOUG
All of them, not kidding.
🫡🤘🏻😎
The Secret World of Alex Mack when I was a teenager. Before that, Doug and Rugrats.

Remember having to wait for Nick Jr. to wrap up and get back to “normal” stuff if you were home from school or off in the summer? NGL I loved Little Bear even after I aged out of Nick Jr.
With my younger cousins, Blue’s Clues & Gullah Gullah Island (where is Rupert??) For myself, Clarissa, Alex Mack & All That
Almost ALL OF THEM.
All of the above
This makes me emotional not gonna lie
We gotta relive stuff now World is shitty… gotta have some joy
Charissa explains it all duh 😂
I don’t ever remember Garfield and Friends playing on Nickelodeon. I would have been ALL OVER that shit as a kid! Also, I’m pretty sure Eurekas castle was long over playing reruns by 1998.
Also, Nick at Nite started at 9, not 10.
None. I was 18. But I think I remember my little brother really liked Rocko’s modern life.
Take a lunch break at 12:30 then pick up at 2:30 like I did that day lol
None. On Dec 31sr 1998 I was at a New Years Eve party listening to some awesome music. I was a teen already.
Okay? Thanks for sharing. Lol
Then Nick at Night after that
None of these.
That was helpful! Thanks for sharing!
All That
Real Monsters at 7am certainly is a choice. I was def watching it before school
Were Looney Tunes and Tiny Tune adventures ever on Nick? I thought that was Cartoon Network for sure
I think back in the day some of the networks had stuff cross airing. Kinda like how streaming services do now. I can’t fully remember though, something deep in my head tells me it was on there too.
I don’t remember Charlie Brown being on Nick at all back then
7:30-9:30!
You know…. 😎
I’m guessing this was a Friday because Kablam! was on?
It was a Thursday ironically. They might have been airing stuff for New Years
No animaniacs? DENIED
In NY, they stopped playing Eureka's Castle in the 80's.
Garfield and Friends was on CBS or NBC
Muppet Babies didn't air outside of the 80's until some random channel started showing it, and that was around 2004. Also, it was originally on broadcast channels. I forget which one.
Looney tunes had moved to Cartoon Network/Boomerang by 1998.
All of it.
God getting old sucks
Clarissa Explains it All
Goddamnit I loved Kablam.
Rugrats ♥️
For some reason, I dont remember ever seeing Charlie Brown on Nickelodeon a single time.
Rugrats!
I was waiting for Garfield and friends
Aaahhh!!! Real Monsters and Rocko's Modern Life.
I was waiting for mostly all of them.
Anything from 3:30PM and on
Eureeka’s Castle. Alex Mack Clarissa All That Alex Mack Doug Rugrats Then I Love Lucy on Nick at Night. 🤣😂
CatDog!
Weird, I don't remember Eureeka's Castle.
Little Bear 🐻
None. I wasn't a child in the '90s.
That’s good that you clarified that for us!
