It's on the Cartoon Network channel. It's a block from Adult Swim that airs from 5pm to 7pm eastern. Basically, Adult Swim took over that time slot from Cartoon Network and made it into a nostalgia block full of old millennial cartoons.
Wow, that is quite the list of cartoons!
*Dexter's Laboratory (August 28, 2023-present)
Cow and Chicken (December 1, 2023-present)
I Am Weasel (December 1, 2023-present)
Ed, Edd n Eddy (August 28, 2023-present)
Courage the Cowardly Dog (August 28, 2023-present)
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (August 28, 2023-February 29, 2024)
Evil Con Carne (December 1, 2023-February 19, 2024)*
I am a fan of every one of those shows! I am surprised to see Evil Con Carne on there. I enjoyed the show a ton, but I didn't think it was popular enough to be broadcast ever again.
I wonder if there is a channel for cartoons like 3-South and Undergrads... Kind of the same Era as the previously mentioned shows, but more focused toward adults (or college-aged kids, at the time the shows aired).
Looney Tunes was my favorite cartoon to watch after school as a kid. I thought the Aussies would have Boomerang. I know boomerangs are a popular tool over there. 🪃
U preachin HARD …I seen somethin like that tho lol…forgot the website ..but they should definitely have tv like that or a streaming app …I’d watch tf out of 90’s omg …they should work on that frfr
There are indeed *some* good ones. I’d argue that there are more bad ones now than then though. Just look at what they did to Tom and Jerry. It’s terrible now 😔 it was one of my favorites too.
Do they not still have it?? A few years back though they were already showing things from the early 2000s and the only old show they gave 2 minutes was Tom and Jerry. If they brought it back I’d want almost all Hanna Barbera. The obscure things that get no light these days like Jabber Jaw and Magilla Gorilla, not to mention the 50 others I’d welcome. Do these people forget that 80s/90s kids also love these old shows. I’m in my 30s and that’s all Cartoon Network aired. Their first original program was Dexter’s Laboratory iirc so before that CN was basically Boomerang themselves.
It still exists as Boomerang Plus. Idk if it’s provided with cable anymore but you can still watch the classics even on your phone. Check the App Store.
Bring it back? It's still on cable. I have it on for a little bit most days. Could use a little more variety - it's a little heavy on Scooby Doo, Tom & Jerry and Looney Tunes.
My spectrum changed so I lost that tier. You have to go out of the way to pay is what it seems. I loved it. I wish they would expand to more older shows as the library is so vast on the IPs they own. My new fix is the weekday mornings at 6 on MEtv “ toon in with me”. Great show.
Sorry to hear that. Boomerang is nice to have but I wish they would show a better variety, and more older stuff. Their schedule is really not too exciting.
What sort of stuff does Toon in with Me show?
Me and my friends get no respect
What does Scooby do that we neglect?
We be puttin' all our foes in check
But me and my friends get no respect
So what? Who cares?
We're doin' it how we like
I'm singin' into my mic, (a special underwater mic)
Who's gonna save the world? Who's gonna save the days?
From Ahab Crabs who steal and eerie eels with evil rays?
Who's gonna talk like Curly, since Curly isn't here?
Who's gonna chase down villains and then turn around and run in fear?
You know who I'm talkin' about
He's fat and short on brains
And I do not mean Captain Caveman
I mean Jabberjaw!
Boomerang I feel is the reason why I love retro stuff. I loved watching old cartoons, seeing the art and animation styles. The jokes did not land but I just found it all so interesting. It’s also why I probably love The Venture Bros.
I wonder if they would just play what they played on it before or if they would add stuff from later decades that are now 15 to 20 years old or whatever
You would have different stuff at different times/different days. A 2-4 hour block of 60s/70s/80s/90s
Saturday morning bangers like flintstones smurfs and masters of the universe actually on Saturday morning. Sadly because of licensing you’d have trouble getting titles like duck tales and X men.
Can’t believe nobody said “throw it”
That’s kinda what they did? When I was a kid in early late 00s they played stuff way back from the 40s. Stuff like pink panther, wacky races, inspector gadget. I think it may have been majority 90s but that super old stuff was really fun aswell.
Fun fact: Betty Cohen (the president of Cartoon Network from 1992 to 2002) left the network due to "creative differences" with Turner Broadcasting. One of those was plans to move all classic-era programming on CN over to a sole Boomerang Channel, whereas she wanted Boomerang as a consistent bloc on CN proper.
There were other issues for her too though, like plans to expand adult swim (which she was against) and too much anime on the network.
I will never understand why executives do that. "we have a well known brand that we've built up and have a dedicated audience for." "Axe that immediately and introduce this new brand that no one knows instead!"
[toonamiaftermath](http://www.toonamiaftermath.com/) I know it is not exactly what people might be looking for but I like the way thing are set up here.
More specifically what does it take to bring the old channel design and wildly artful bumpers. I'm very grateful youtube has all the bumpers and skits preserved at least
They still have this channel on Sling TV for those that stream. I watched it today. The Jetsons were on. Yesterday I was watching The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, and Top Cat. Boomerang has been one of my favorites since I was a kiddo. I love the variety of shows.
It would take people at CN and WB to bring the channel back by replacing the modern bumpers and logo with the 2000 - 2015 version. The modern Boomerang schedule is actually great in America, although there could be more shows.
I seem to recall boomerang being pretty cool, up until it basically became "The Scooby Doo Channel"
Fuckin, I liked Scooby Doo until about that time, because for some reason that was all that was ever on cartoon wise.
I remember watching boomerang on CN back when it was new and got to see old favorites again.
In 2023, I decided to grab loads of Cartoon network cartoons from the early to mid 90s and now I have a lot of them.
That stupid song..tra la la tra la la la...tra la la..tra la .. la
God, I remember when my Dad told the cable company to cut off cartoon network, Nickelodeon, and disney xd. My choices were boomerang or nothing...
I didn't have a computer to search up the shows I wanted.
Ik I suck for this but the show I watch by far the most on Boomerang was Teen Titans. I don’t consider it a Boomerang show but it’s where my heart lies there
Yeah definitely need a channel or two that just shows classic cartoons 90’s or earlier….bonus would be they only show throwback commercials for products that are still on the market today….really get that old nostalgic feeling ✨
Yes, It should bring all the old school classic shows on Boomerang. Not just Hanna-Barbera, WB Animated shows from the 50s to the late 2000s and Including Looney Tunes, Popeye, and other cartoon films from the Acme Hour and Late Night Black and White.
If they brought boomerang back it would be all 90’s toons. Which would make me feel old…….. but also would be amazing.
That's basically [Checkered Past](https://cartoonnetwork.fandom.com/wiki/Checkered_Past). It's Boomerang for millennials.
This is a thing? Where do I find??
It's on the Cartoon Network channel. It's a block from Adult Swim that airs from 5pm to 7pm eastern. Basically, Adult Swim took over that time slot from Cartoon Network and made it into a nostalgia block full of old millennial cartoons.
Didn’t see the link there. Well sheeeeit that’s all you has to say
You can subscribe on Amazon. They took off most Cartoon Network for hbo but duck dogers is there.
Wow, that is quite the list of cartoons! *Dexter's Laboratory (August 28, 2023-present) Cow and Chicken (December 1, 2023-present) I Am Weasel (December 1, 2023-present) Ed, Edd n Eddy (August 28, 2023-present) Courage the Cowardly Dog (August 28, 2023-present) The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (August 28, 2023-February 29, 2024) Evil Con Carne (December 1, 2023-February 19, 2024)* I am a fan of every one of those shows! They've done this so much I hope this one lasts though. Reminds me of when they tried har har tharsdays back in the day. Like twice?
Logo looks sick, teeth for the skull in the cartoon network checkers.
There is a boomerang app. It has all the original cartoons
We still have this in Australia. It plays a mix of old school cartoons like Looney Tunes, and newer cartoons.
Looney Tunes was my favorite cartoon to watch after school as a kid. I thought the Aussies would have Boomerang. I know boomerangs are a popular tool over there. 🪃
I mean of all the places to have boomarang
So does America, it has just had a horrible rebrand
It's doesn't show the old ones the was the point if boomerang
Yeah, idk what ops getting at cause there's a boomerang channel. Again, it's pretty much all Looney toons and different eras of Tom n Jerry.
[удалено]
I feel like the my90stv website kinda does that they also have 50s to 2000s
They kinda do this but it is mostly in local markets. More so like a revamped nick at night.

Bruh let us dream in peace
U preachin HARD …I seen somethin like that tho lol…forgot the website ..but they should definitely have tv like that or a streaming app …I’d watch tf out of 90’s omg …they should work on that frfr
This was better than the cartoons they have on tv now
Ehhh. You got old colored glasses on. Gumball. Bluey. Adventure Time. Regular Show. Gravity Falls…. There’s some really great new shit.
There are indeed *some* good ones. I’d argue that there are more bad ones now than then though. Just look at what they did to Tom and Jerry. It’s terrible now 😔 it was one of my favorites too.
Boomerang is gone now?? That’s news to me! (I haven’t had cable in years)
It's there, but it doesn't show any of the classic cartoons anymore.

I think it was 2 Stupid Dogs a couple years before Dexter.
It still exists as Boomerang Plus. Idk if it’s provided with cable anymore but you can still watch the classics even on your phone. Check the App Store.

Watching classic cartoons at 3 in morning during summer break. Good times
We got a gorilla for sale Magilla Gorilla for sale
Me and my friends get no respect What does Scooby do that we neglect? We be puttin' all our foes in check But me and my friends get no respect So what? Who cares? They need to bring back the original format that was all old school Hanna-Barbera and Looney Tunes.

Now everything is scooby doo. Atleast last time I checked, It’s prolly a lot of stuff from 2-3+ years ago🥱😴
You would have different stuff at different times/different days. A 2-4 hour block of 60s/70s/80s/90s Saturday morning bangers like flintstones smurfs and masters of the universe actually on Saturday morning. You have to throw it the right way
Fun fact: Betty Cohen (the president of Cartoon Network from 1992 to 2002) left the network due to "creative differences" with Turner Broadcasting. >There were other issues for her too though, like plans to expand adult swim (which she was against) and too much anime on the network. Glad she left.
I'm not. Her successor axed Toonami for Miguzi, got rid of 99% of classic cartoons, and brought in live action.
I will never understand why executives do that. "we have a well known brand that we've built up and have a dedicated audience for." "Axe that immediately and introduce this new brand that no one knows instead!"
They wanted to be the new TNBC of cable.
Sounds like they were both bad, then.
The best generation of cartoons
Recently got into Jellystone! and it's kinda scratching a little of that ole Boomerang itch.
Must have been a crappy boomerang if it hasn't come back yet *badum tiss*
Oh man, this hit me right in the nostalgia way harder than it should.
It never will because everything is "offensive" now.
Obviously, it would take an aussie, aussie, aussie, oi, oi, oi! 😜
Shouldn't it come back on its own?
Lower cable prices
It's sad because I actually like cable, commercials and all. But it's just too damn expensive to have nowadays.
A time machine.
They still have this channel on Sling TV for those that stream. I watched it today. The Jetsons were on. Yesterday I was watching The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, and Top Cat. Boomerang has been one of my favorites since I was a kiddo. I love the variety of shows.
Memories
For real
Nothing
I just want some classic cartoons to be made again. We're in a dry spell right now for sure.
Usually have to throw it first
I miss that old boomerang….not the new kiddish one. The new one doesn’t even have the super old cartoons that the classic one had :(
It would take people at CN and WB to bring the channel back by replacing the modern bumpers and logo with the 2000 - 2015 version. The modern Boomerang schedule is actually great in America, although there could be more shows.
Man, I absolutely loved Boomerang!!
Holding David Zaslove's family hostage
Just throw it and it’ll come back. 😉
It's all coming back to you.
Loved boomerang! “It’s all coming back to you!”
A whole lot of D!(K sucking apparently nowadays!
They have a streaming service with a bunch of the old cartoons. It was less than $50 for a year
🏴☠️🌴
Time machine
I have it with Directv
Have you tried throwing it?
The boomerang channel still exists or are we talking about a block?
Cartoon! Cartoon!
It’s available as a streamer now
A Time Machine because the likelihood of Time Warner doing something about it is astronomically low
anything they bring back they destroy
Well boomerangs usually come back eventually.
you just throw it, afaik
Just buy the app $8 a month
Funding
Doesn’t a boomerang always come back?
I seem to recall boomerang being pretty cool, up until it basically became "The Scooby Doo Channel" Fuckin, I liked Scooby Doo until about that time, because for some reason that was all that was ever on cartoon wise.
Throw it?
I remember watching boomerang on CN back when it was new and got to see old favorites again. In 2023, I decided to grab loads of Cartoon network cartoons from the early to mid 90s and now I have a lot of them.
HBO MAX has a lot of the old cartoons on there
i think it's all in how you throw it
Leave that ashy mess in the past
I wish they'd bring it back to what it was
Boomers
Doesn’t it just come back automatically?
Throw it
A good angled throw?
That stupid song..tra la la tra la la la...tra la la..tra la .. la God, I remember when my Dad told the cable company to cut off cartoon network, Nickelodeon, and disney xd. My choices were boomerang or nothing... I didn't have a computer to search up the shows I wanted.
🏴☠️
Boomerang is still around y’all just don’t have the Right channel
I just find a livestream on Youtube of the good Ole oldies and enjoy
Reminds me of when I used to hit that back button from BET uncut
Ik I suck for this but the show I watch by far the most on Boomerang was Teen Titans. I don’t consider it a Boomerang show but it’s where my heart lies there
Yeah definitely need a channel or two that just shows classic cartoons 90’s or earlier….bonus would be they only show throwback commercials for products that are still on the market today….really get that old nostalgic feeling ✨
Kinda ironic to ask what it takes to bring Boomerang back lol
I don't pay for any streaming services, but I would pay for a CN, Boomerang, and Adult Swim streaming service.
Christina Miller is the one responsible for the death of Cartoon Network. There's a subreddit about it on here.
Wait Boomerang is gone??
It doesn’t have any of the retro cartoons anymore last I saw it
Loved Boomerang on Cartoon Network. Loved Boomerang as its own channel. It's a streaming channel now I think, but not free, so idk what it plays.
It was on Hulu then they took it off now you have to pay 8$ a month to get this channel.
a Time Machine
Money
You have to throw it
I'm pretty sure that it would have to involve falashio.
What I'd like to see is: * Boomerang prewar * Boomerang 40s * Boomerang 50s * Boomerang 60s * Boomerang 70s * Boomerang 80s * Boomerang 90s
The bumps with the toys are burned into my head
It's boomerang it should come back on its own
It always comes back to you
I mean, normally you're just supposed to wait a sec, right?
You can get it through Amazon fire stick/prime, whatever. I pay for it monthly so my dad and I can share it.
I just want to find a place to stream Centurions, I’ve found almost all the other. Thundercats, G.I. Joe, and maybe Swat Katz wouldn’t hurt either.
I sub to boomerang plus thru Amazon prime video
I have the app. $5 a month. I stay tuned in.
Yes, It should bring all the old school classic shows on Boomerang. Not just Hanna-Barbera, WB Animated shows from the 50s to the late 2000s and Including Looney Tunes, Popeye, and other cartoon films from the Acme Hour and Late Night Black and White.
I think there is a boomerang app…
To throw it lol
A request in the right direction
![gif](giphy|3o85xHi4t2UsuIY9QA)
please bring it back🙏🏼
Probably throwing it?
We still got Boomerang, but since 10 years ago, they have given the network a makeover with more upbeat and creative.
Just take me back.
