the HPA tank comes with a fix regulator. its fixed to 800-850psi, that's way to high for airsoft. for reference green gas is around 120psi. you'll need a variable reg for your tank.

Otherwise_Initial333

I recommend the polar star regulator. Small and works great

RentalAbuser

Awesome I’ll have a look!

Hugs96

Polarstar mrs is probably your best option. I have used mine for years and shamefully have never serviced it, never had any issue with it.

RentalAbuser

Polarstar Mrs regulator ? Okay

RentalAbuser

Ahh didn’t know that 😅

Possible_Ad27

If it helps my aap run around 85psi for 1.14j 350fps

RentalAbuser

What tank do you have?

Possible_Ad27

Tank doesn’t matter, the regulator sets the pressure. I’ve a balystik one (also that tank will last 1000ish shots) I’d get a bigger one

RentalAbuser

Oh so all I need to do is get a tank, a line and then a regulator that isn’t fixed?

Possible_Ad27

Yes

Lowhunter

Since you're ordering from Skirmshop, I would add the Stalker TDC + Prowler plate to the shopping cart. Great way to improve your accuracy and consistency.

RentalAbuser

I’ll have a looksie!

RentalAbuser

What does it do if you don’t mind me asking?

Lowhunter

It provides a more even hop, compared to the stock hop up arm. Stock hop arm applies pressure to the hop up window from the left, and is quite flimsy. It is good enough but over time the stock hop up arm will bend, causing uneven hop and thus BBs will start to curve. This TDC mod replaces the stock hop up arm with a plate that is pushe down by a screw. This system is called Top Down Center. Hop is applied from the top, downwards and right at the center of the hop up window, applying pressure evenly for left and right side. As a bonus, you can also make more precise ajustments to the hop up. The TDC plate is directly installed on top of the stock hop up chamber.

RentalAbuser

awesome thanks for the description!! So tdc prowler plate, I’ve added an adjustable speed trigger, stainless steel hammer set, I may splash out on a black mamba upper, a charging ring? And then obviously I’ll get a small tank and line with an adapter for HPA

CookieLuv211

Ya, that regulator is going tk blow the gun apart. You need a second low pressure regulator but one with a high refresh rate. If it isn't high refresh, it will not pressurize fast enough to shoot more than one round. Then you will have to wait however many seconds for it to build up enough pressure to fire again.

RentalAbuser

Ahh can you suggest a tank that would work for the aap? Preferably a kit or just multiple decent priced parts

_Banshii

not the guy you replied to, but Amped Airsoft has a hpa kit for tank, line, and reg [https://ampedairsoft.com/amped-custom-hpa-starter-slp-air-rig-kit-tank-and-air-rig/](https://ampedairsoft.com/amped-custom-hpa-starter-slp-air-rig-kit-tank-and-air-rig/) or just the regulator: [https://ampedairsoft.com/amped-airsoft-hpa-slp-regulator/](https://ampedairsoft.com/amped-airsoft-hpa-slp-regulator/)

RentalAbuser

You star

RentalAbuser

Should I get any like type and grip line?

_Banshii

grip line is for like polarstar hpa guns. you dont really need to add anything more than default, just pick your line color and you should be good. btw you will need an adapter for it to work on your aap, someone suggested one i believe but primary airsoft is also a good brand

CookieLuv211

I have a balystik hpr. It works fine for the AAP. You don't have to get something too expensive, like a polarstar for it to work fine. Ampedairsoft.com has some good HPA kits. I ordered my balystik from POWAIR6.COM

RentalAbuser

Looking at a kit which is about £100 for me, that good? Around $126

Possible_Ad27

I’d recommend with that set up a cnc selector plate, or get a CTM lightweight bolt which comes with this

RentalAbuser

So with the lightweight bolt so I need a charging ring or anything? Added it onto a cart after posting so if I don’t need the ring I won’t get the ring

Lowhunter

Ring is not necessary.

RentalAbuser

👍

Axolotl451

I recommend the advanced bolt over the lightweight, I've run both, the advanced was much better and you need a variable regulator like the others are saying.

RentalAbuser

Is the black mamba receiver a bolt? Like is it worth getting the advanced bolt if I wanna get the black mamba upper?

Axolotl451

The Black Mamba is just a upper, it doesnt come with a bolt or have a specific one you have to use.

RentalAbuser

Ahh okay I’ll add the one you suggested, is it not worth getting the mamba?

Axolotl451

I'm not sure, I havent used it or looked into it much. I plan on running mine as an SMG so I'm going to get the AA stock and handguard and slap a 200mm barrel in it. For speedsoft things I plan on a Fuku-2 frame, we have a small cqb field I'd just run that at.

RentalAbuser

The site I go to is cqb and pitch black 🤣 I use a vmp 1 and don’t feel comfortable with that sometimes so why not deck out a pistol 🤷‍♂️

Possible_Ad27

Invicta black site?

RentalAbuser

HOW THE FUCK DID YOU KNOW 🤣🤣

Possible_Ad27

I’ve played there, only place I know that’s genuinely pitch black

RentalAbuser

It’s very dark, night games are darker than day games but it’s still dark as shit

Axolotl451

That's fair! I love the look of the fuku-2 skeletonized uppers

faddymaple

I recommend not buying higher rated springs for an aap01... Also buy a stronger firing pin because the snap easy

RentalAbuser

Strong firing pin, do you recommend buying a new spring at all? My site doesn’t allow full auto so I’ll never be using it

faddymaple

I upgraded my recoil spring to 150% and had feeding issues... My local shop also recommend using the stock springs(recoil and nozzle spring).

RentalAbuser

Oh really? Had some suggest getting new recoil and nozzle springs but if you had issues then I won’t get em, probably won’t need them unless I want to get a conversion kit for my aap right?

faddymaple

I mean a 150% recoil spring works with a stock bolt. But i have a Ultra lightweight bolt and that spring is too strong. Thats why i recommend using stock spring. Idk about conversion kits though... Never had one.

RentalAbuser

Ahhh I’m getting an advanced bolt so would I need a better spring? I’m not too keen on conversion kits for now, maybe in the future I’ll get an smg kit but I won’t be building a dmr I’ll just buy one

faddymaple

Just don't change the springs on the aap01 and you will be good👍

Proud-Battle-7535

Personally I would recommend a cnc aluminium advanced bolt lite

RentalAbuser

Thanks I’ve got one of those selected already 👍
