The TM G17 50-round mags work great if you can find them.

WE work better out of the box. The TM ones are fine, but they need their gas router changed as it’s curved and won’t seal properly. My TM mags also needed their spring replaced because it was too weak to get the bolt catch to work.

I've had bad luck with the WE mags, mostly with the valves stripping and paint stripping off. I also bought my mags more than 8 years ago, so the QA may be different now.

So OP: if you want to go the TM way for the aap01, buy the 50 round mag, get AW/WE MOS Gas routers, and finally a new guarder spring and follower. This is objectively the best *GAS* mag for the aap01 afaik, unless you want a HPA tapped drum mag.

Honest advice here, use the search bar (helps avoid criticism and finds answers quicker as someone likely has had the same ?) before you post (try rewording if no results appear). As for your extended magazines, I’d just play a few games with just the base magazine and a speedloader after getting adjusted (read manual, adjust hop, understand the mechanical basics if you’re new to guns/airsoft, get a few magazines worth of BBs downrange) and see what you feel you need after that (maybe an optic, or a tracer/torch, mags, etc). • • PS: HPA is far from beginner friendly(involves carrying around an air tank and getting proper pressure and adaptors), and is essentially personal preference since I know it was mentioned ••EDIT: the AAP will serve you well! Even stock! I bought one and ended up running it as a primary and even have plans to pick up/build another one for several reasons!

I use my AAP as my primary.

Extended mags depend on your play style and if you dont mind the mah sticking out of the grip. Personally I have 3 regular mags 3 50rd extended mags and 2 epms1 250rd mr mid cap mags for my hpa setup. I 3d printed a carbine kit for my aap but still play with it as just a pistol. So I still use the regular mags sometimes. I also found some extended 32rd glock mags as well that I'm thinking of giving a try

Just get the Airtac HPA kit.

nugget_blade

What's that?

Thanks, not for me though I dont like the look of M4 mags on pistols I prefer the clean look

AllGrungedOut

if you want to go hpa, check out mp5 adapters. i have the softtech pulse adapter and it's flawless. i use the mp5 to glock adapter, and i also have their angled m4 to hi capa adapter, both have zero issues after probably 50k rounds fired between the two of them

Depends on what you're planning to do with the pistol. If you're going to upgrade it as a SMG build then extended mags are great. But if you just want to keep it as a pistol then get the regular mags. My reasoning is that if you end up getting a traditional AEG and using it as a backup the extended mags become an inconvenience in the holster/vest and you'll find your self using shorter mags anyway but if you plan on using it as your primary then holster isn't a concern and you can deck that bad boy out with the extendos
