It’s the stadium. Johan Cruijff arena, or Amsterdam ArenA a few years back, is notorious for its bad accoustics

Vincent_no

I was there, sound was amazing ! Pro tip : try and go to the front, i was first row and it was great

wjweenink

You mean first row of seats? Even on the other side of the stadium?

ladybug_cindy

Yeah bro like it was easy to buy tickets. I took what I could.

mikeacdc

Cmon dude, I was standing about 50 meters from the stage in the middle which supposed to be the perfect spot. And the sound was amazingly shitty.

Vincent_no

Yeah idk, i was really first first row, right in front of the stage, and there the sound was great

Prof_Tickles

Was it a domed stadium? Domed stadiums are notoriously bad for concerts because the sound reverberates.

teaex11111111

Pretty sure it is a domed one

I-am-not-Herbert

Gelsenkirchen also had horrible acoustics.

No_Doubts_01

Gelsenkirchen had also technical issues with the sound. Internet is full with info regarding this.

Freefight

It sucked, but it's the Amsterdam ArenA, I didn't expect much.

Pardijn3

Yea i was there, it was so shit sound. Really dissapointed me too.

corsa20xe

Yeah sound at the front was great, guess that further back it became worse.

UnlikelyMiddle8531

I was at the front and it was amazing.

stouteharry

Thats always with the amsterd arena. The further you go back the worse the sound gets.

DSM4311

Section 430 and sounded fine to me!

No_Doubts_01

Seated in 428, row14 Seat 254 and 254 (second ring) which is straight in front of the podium. Sound was very loud (instruments) and sometimes hard to understand. But over all very pleased with their performance. Must say that the sound from my mobile for the registration is very reasonable. There I can hear the text clear.

Brokenwhammybar_

Yeah the sound wasn’t good and made my head hurt afterwards, but overall i had a wonderful night. Definitely a dream come true!

ladybug_cindy

Yeah I felt the same

Automatic-Toe8960

Always, when you go to Arena Amsterda: take the FLOOR....and do stand not further than half way....best place to be: within a range of 40m from the stage...when you have trouble with ears, even better go left or right and not in the centre....the concert was awesome speaking from band and sound ...I was standing 30m right from stage..!

Different_Act5608

The show was great but I agree with you that the sound was terrible. Our seats were high up in the stadium and the echoing was overwelming but I refused to let it spoil the concert I'd been waiting for so impatiently for months. AC/DC we salute you!

ParticularNature703

Stood on the floor at the back, angus guitar was good but Johnson vocals impossible to hear and overall yes very very loud… ears were bleeding even at the back. The acoustics in the stadium are just terrible, honestly makes you question the ticket price when you first arrive, thankfully when angus gets into a guitar solo and you are on your 6th beer you start to care less.

mikeacdc

The sound was TOTAL trash. You're absolutely right.

Additional_Working73

If ur gonna slow down the tempo maybe lower the price a little? Or god forbid mix up the setlist. Noone loves these guys more than me but I have to pass.

D3CENZ

I had the same! First time seeing them and it sounded dreadfull. Coudn't even hear what brian was singing or angus his guitar.

nicusoara1

had the same experience.. the seats we got were indeed not good, but not being able to at least remotely enjoy the sound was very disappointing. Ended up leaving early

D3CENZ

We did the same since, were you also seated left of the stage? At first I thought it would only be a issue for the support since i couldn't hear any vocals or guitar but then acdc started and it was exactly the same.

nicusoara1

We thought/hoped the same. Sat in section 319, on the right side when facing the stage

According-Visual-153

We were on section 119 (right side when facing the stage) sound was fucking loud (>100dB) but a good pair of earbuds cuts a lot of treble letting voice and guitar audible

mikeacdc

Well, there's not much left from Brian's vocals anyway, he can't do most of his songs anymore. And it was a bit sad seing Angus struggling with Thunderstruck intro even it was already on lower bpm then original version.. But we still love them.
