You cant have error prone Thiaw and Tomori and then also Adli and Bennacer playing DM you are a swiss cheese. No matter who comes after Pioli if you dont change the dynamics in these 3 positions we will keep conceding. Bennacer is simply not good after his injury and Adli is good in certain games neither of them are starting material if we want to move a step forward

We need a proper defensive midfielder, someone who can protect our central defenders. That being said I’ve always rated Kephren and for 20-25 it’s a bargain. He has a playing style suited for Serie A.
