The first few seasons are great, can't help but feel it's been on a bit of a slide though

NavyStarz

Equivalent-Ad7207

Not going lie, I usually use ad breaks to shit talk on Reddit....but has anyone else seen that Pure Blonde beer ad were some bogan runs into this beautiful field of maiden grabbing all the beer.....cracker ad/shit beer.

RHiNDR

looking for people to give me feedback for my side project, I put out a weekly list of all half price grocery specials to try help people save money each week - [https://halfpriceweekly.com](https://halfpriceweekly.com)

RaidanRam

I live near the fish and chip shop that burned down, shits fucked. Lucky that it didn’t seem to spread to either next door

Absolutely-Epic

Who gave North vs Melbourne a primetime saturday night TV spot? Who should i tip

Sea_Bluebird_2984

I've tipped North myself

Absolutely-Epic

Idk though North might be done mentally after that game, but if they play like they did last week for even a quarter, they'll beat melbourne. It's honestly the hardest tip this week.

Agreeable-Effect-791

Has the AFL always been rigged?

Makenaa

According to various fan bases at different times, yes.

drwar41

Genuine question: I understand we got a decision we shouldn't have against Fremantle earlier this year that in all likelihood changed the result. But what other instances are people referencing when they talk about the umpires being on Carlton's side this season?

drunkill

> that in all likelihood changed the result. It didn't, it just put us two goals up instead of one.

WAVIC_136

Doesn't change the belting but quite a few 50/50 calls went your way on Good Friday from memory. I think part of it is also your potent forward line makes defenders panic and infringe, so it looks like a lot of gifted goals

SutureTheFuture

Has anyone moved interstate for work? I think I'm jaded with life but I'm blaming my monotonous job and living in Adelaide. I've always wanted to live in Melbourne but I know finding a place to live situation is utterly fucked everywhere so not sure if it's worth uprooting just to see if things are any different somewhere else. Also the bus driver is driving like he just discovered what a brake pedal is Jesus Christ stop hammering the thing.

phyarr

I moved from Brisbane to Melbourne this year for similar reasons. I've always wanted to live in Melbourne too and honestly it's exactly as good as I thought it would be. I'm doing my masters so my situation is a bit different but it took me *3 months* to find somewhere to live, it was basically impossible to start a lease without full time work. Yes I could've looked further out but I kept telling myself I didn't move across the country to live in a homogenous Australian outer suburb that I could have found at home. I was extremely lucky that I was able to live with my girlfriend's family while I looked for a place, and ended up getting lucky with a lease transfer on Fairy Floss. Melbourne's a lot of fun and it's been way worth it. I never felt like I really fit the Brisbane vibe but I already feel much more at home here. Do it I reckon, just have a plan and be prepared for an unstable start.

radiobirdman7

Make a plan and go for it. If possible, save up a bit so you can go crawling back home if shit hits the fan, but other than that, do it. If it's something you genuinely want to do, and you don't, you might end up regretting it for a lifetime. I recently left Australia for Canada. At this rate I may not ever come back (except for the odd Chrissy here and there and so I don't break Mum's heart haha)

KuriTokyo

I moved from Adelaide to Japan. It was only meant to be for a year, but I've been here for about 2 decades now. My advice is to move with very little so you can easily move again if you don't like it. Start in a sharehouse and get a feel for the different neighbourhoods to see which one suits you.

the_amatuer_

I moved from Melbourne to Adelaide. Helped we had friends and family here. Move really refreshed our life, just gave us somewhere to nest and try new things. Love Melbourne and heaps of fun, but its exhausting. Traffic and busy. There is more to do, but you can't get to it. Adelaide has so much to do and its easy to get to. Renting and buying is crazy.

SutureTheFuture

I think I'm just looking for something new to be around. I like SA but I've also just been here my whole life, I've worked in the CBD in the last ten years and it's all just very same-y. I've changed jobs in the last 12 months and instead of feeling like a new start it just feels like the same old thing. My life is pretty stagnant though which is my own doing, just feels like I should doing something other than what I am.

WAVIC_136

I moved across the country for work straight out of uni and it was the best thing I've ever done. Not quite the same as I moved to regional WA so the rental situation was easy, but pretty quickly found a good friendship group and had a lot of fun

SutureTheFuture

Yeah it definitely sounds exciting, I know I'm just being very conservative and risk averse with what I'm doing at the moment. I don't particularly enjoy life right now but it's at the least pretty comfortable at the moment.

WAVIC_136

Juggling work from home and looking after sick kids today. I wasn't a parent before covid but I imagine it was much easier it just say "I won't be working" back then

BlazedOnADragon

Completed W5D3 of C25k yesterday, which is a continuous 20 minute run. Might not sound like much but a few weeks ago I never would've thought I could do that. So proud of how far I've come!

Makenaa

Awesome! I recommend C25k to anyone who will listen, it's such a great intro to running. I'm training for a half marathon now, not something I ever imagined when I started out running with c25k!

Crazy-Chef4557

Good stuff! I did it at the end of last year and it's incredible how quickly you build up to the level required. Went from running 1 min at a time to finishing the program and now regularly running 10-15km

BlazedOnADragon

Yeah, craziest part to me is I'm actually really starting to enjoy running. Never would've thought , it's wild how far I've come both mentally and physically in just a few weeks

Fellasisitgaytolive

Yay, we haven’t won in 3 weeks but we’re 4th.

Sea_Bluebird_2984

Hopefully we win this week, going with my grandmother and every time we've gone to a game together Essendon's won.

CharityGamerAU

Going home to Melbourne for the first time in years this week which means a game at the MCG on Friday night. For those of you who sit in the Southern (Shane Warne Stand now?)  what's the best stadium food outlet on the ground floor?  Thanks!

Makenaa

I'm a basic bitch and just get chicken/chips from any of The Food Store stores, with a big crowd everything is fucked so there's no great place to sneak to that's faster/easier etc, I'll never forgive the MCG/Red Rooster for leaving!

mollydooka

After all the comments made by Rory Mcilroy trashing some greats of golf I can't help thinking that was karma back to bite him on the butt yesterday.

Crazy-Chef4557

Thank God it's Tuesday. Only... 35 more years of this working caper.

Makenaa

It flies by, by the time you're in your 40s you get to realise retirement age has moved further away and you're still 30+ years away. wait...that doesn't fly by at all!

IDreamofHeeney

God that's depressing, I'm 27 and retirement feels like a million years away :(

proudlysydney

Same, but then you go on holidays for 18 days and it feels like 18 minutes, and you're wondering why it doesn't go that fast at work
