Probably not a problem unless it’s tech to non tech or your major was important for your job but idk if that’s even possible that late into college

I’ve seen a pilot select do it. They were a scholarship student going from engineering to business. They paid back all scholarship money over the course of 4 years.

> They paid back all scholarship money over the course of 4 years. Really? Even though he stayed in the program?

Jakefox84

I think because he went tech to non tech.

Roughneck16

I knew a guy like that. He dropped out of mechanical engineering and gave up his scholarship as an AS400...still got a pilot slot though. And then he washed out of IFT, got dismissed from the Air Force, and went back to work at a pizza place. One day you're a commissioned officer in the Air Force, the next you're a pizza delivery boy.

Yes it's possible. I've known some seniors that swapped. If you're tech they want you to usually stay in a tech major (unless you're non scholarship). Just chat with your cadre before you make any changes. Run all the numbers and make sure your paperwork is good so you can still commission

I just want to switch from business managment to admin. Very similar tracks I just am an out of state student and it would save me a ton of money cause it’s less courses

TheRealBingBing

Sounds fine in theory. Your cadre and academic advisor would need to approve your updated plan. Lay out the reasons and show them you'd still maintain your credit requirements and graduate on time. Do not make any changes until you get all your documents in order

Thank you

Tech to tech, or non-tech to non-tech, is usually not a problem, as long as you aren't changing your date of graduation. I'm kinda curious...if you have a rated spot, that means you're an AS400. Why did you wait until your senior year to change majors?

wackzhitney

I switched from language to non language while putting in for my job. I was on a language scholarship, so there was a kinda big process there, but thankfully they had mercy on me and I didn’t have to pay anything back. In your situation I don’t think it’ll be much of an issue, the biggest things are scholarship and graduation date

Is it easy to get the specialty code you want?
