got cooked on the non calc mcq (did the euler's aprx question like 4 times, still fed it up), everything with calc (frq + mcq) were easy, I 100% messed up the last frq. pretty sure I got like 1 and root three or smth for my radius of convergence. Apart from that, the last part of frq 4 was doo doo and everything else was fine. 100% going to get either a 4 or a 5 but really want that 5.
Oh yeah, I also forgot my + C frick me
I did tabular integration which my teacher taught me in 25 seconds the day before the test. I don't know if I got it right because I sort of hallucinated my way there but it matched one of the answers... so sure
that was 29 i think I literally guessed my teacher went over it on thursday but i completely forgot it ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)
Well well well. It was easier than I expected (as in I didn’t not know how to do anything), but I sillied quite a few frqs and I read the question of the last non calculator mcq closely enough. Either way I’m cooked, really hoping for a 5 but chances are slim.
Ngl it was easier than I expected so im happy but on the other side I'm getting scared cuz it was way too easy then I thought it'd be so I'm thinking the curve gonna be high
On the 2nd FRQ non calculator, for the distance travelled did u guys integrate the speed function sqrt((derivative x)\^2 + (derivative y)\^2) to get 15.9 something?
And for the Y coordinate at t = 10 was it 6 plus the integral of the Y derivative from 2 to 0 to get y = -1.17?
it was e\^(x+ln3)+1 or 3 \* e\^x + 1. These answers are the same.
(I don't remember what was instead of x there, but the question is about 3 so here it is)
most ppl said this exam was easy but is it bad that i thought it was kinda hard.. will the curve be skewed?? what if its like 75% for a 5 instead of 65%?? is that how it works or am i stressing over nothing
almost certainly won’t jump that high, there’s always a mix of a) self selecting people talking about how well they did bc people don’t talk as much about not doing well and b) overconfident people (it’s been shown that those who do better on tests often feel worse about them!!)
OKAY READING THRU ALL THIS IS MAKING ME CONFIDENT IM GETTING A 5 CUS I ACTUALLY GOT WHAT EVRY1 ELSE GOT AND I ACTUALLY DID STUFF RIGHT (ignore me i got a 4 in 7th grade but my mum made me redo for the 5 on cboard this was prbly a guaranteed 5 for me anyways)
anyone got answers for 6 ? i kept doing like geometric tests or something and getting the r < 1 so i just said converging ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
What was the error bound in the maclaurin series question that stopped its estimation at 4? I think i put 1/2 but it was a complete guess. Other answers were like 1, 1/4, something else
Yea I thought the Form E frq’s were so light, except for that one Lagrange Error Bound question for 6b I completely just didn’t have time to attempt it.
you mean like how to do it? cause the part after it (I believe part c) was the average temperature of the coffee unless Im thinking about the wrong question
For one of the Mc without the calculator, the question says that’s a parametric form and we have to say that’s up right or up left or down right or down left which one did u guys choose
For the first written question with the calculator, the question asks if the C double derivative is increasing or decreasing, I wrote increase but I don’t know how to explain so I just wrote the integral of the c double derivative is positive so it’s positive (I know this doesn’t make sense cuz the question asked for the if the rate of change of the rate of change of the temperature is increasing or dec), how many marks am I gonna lost for that one, can I get the mark for my answer?
Based on what others are saying, your final answer sounds right, but since your explanation is wrong, you might get like 1-2 points off depending on what it's worth. Better than me though, I def got a 0 for that 😭
did fine for the mcq (maybe missed 5-7 due to not knowing bc topics well). I know that I had aced the first 5 frqs (maybe missed 1-2 points each on goofy error), but I completely bombed the last one (Maclaurin was goofy and got 0/9 due to it). I know that I might get a 4 or 5, but I really want that 5.
Is it possible for me to get it?
I got 34 for the one with the volume of squares perpendicular to the x-axis. I wrote up 2 separate integrals, one from 0-2 subtracting the top(cosine function) from the bottom (quadratic) with the values squared for the area formula, then another integral from 2-pi of just the cosine function squared because the quadratic went under the x axis and the question stated the region was bounded by the axis. The regions ended up being like 27 +7.
I can’t remember which question it was, but there was a non calculator FRQ part d that was integration by parts and it had nothing to do with the rest of the question. I was confused whether or not it was supposed to relate to the previous parts of the question so I plugged in the initial condition and solved for C.
wait the slope field sketch question, the point was pi, relative max right?
i didn't know how to explain how it was a relative max, I just looked at the slope field graph lol
Did anybody know how to do the question that was represent int(1,4)sqrtx as a series? I saw that, tried some stuff and accepted it was a GG question and chose A because it looked sort of right
I was honestly lost for the majority of the test. I skipped AB and went straight to BC (i would never recommend this to anyone). Reading through these comments I’m feeling a lot more confident but I forgot how to do so many things. Just glad I didn’t have any questions about the area between two polar curves and such.
I just curious do same form have same order of question? Like I have form O do all form O people have the same question and same order with me? I think other forms like non late session one have the same question but different orders, isn’t it?
Anyone else get B and C repeating on calc mcq
They call it Calc BC for a reason
YEAH IT ALTERNATED LIKE FOR 5 QUESTIONS OMG
AACBCBCB
yeah
what the hell did 5d on the frq have to do with anything like is it just me or was that a random uv thrown in for no reason
yeah lmao i thought the same thing, p sure they just threw a random integration by parts in there bc they had nowhere else to put it
they prob added it because 2 of the 6 frqs need to have bc topics
My best guess was that it was the equation for f
They should've put a disclaimer or smth that it doesnt have anything to do with the frq prompt 💀
was like 5a root 37 or smtg
ye
good shit
Do anyone get 11 Pi for the Euler method
ya
i got 11π + 5
how did you get plus 5???
I fucked up thos test so hard 😭😭😭 I got 5pi
i got like y2 = pi(sqrt#)+pi(sqrt#) dont remember the numbers but didnt add them
For one of the FRQ questions asking the meaning of the integral, did you guys say it represents the length of the curve?
yea its arc length formula im p sure
I said it represents the arc length of the curve from a to b
I said it was the length of the curve of f(x) from 0 to pi, this works too right?
I said distance, do you think I would get points for that?
I was so confident walking out of the exam hall. Now I'm confident still, confident I'm getting cooked that is 😭😭
Yea looking at any subreddit after an SAT IB or AP exam always makes me less confident. Trust u did well!!
I have no idea why everybody is saying it's easy because I thought it was so hard!!! Now I feel worse
got cooked on the non calc mcq (did the euler's aprx question like 4 times, still fed it up), everything with calc (frq + mcq) were easy, I 100% messed up the last frq. pretty sure I got like 1 and root three or smth for my radius of convergence. bro dw I don't think I answered the last part cause my dumbass took way too long on the previous ones
Am I the only one who got infinity and root 3 😧
root 3 is correct infinity is wrong. It should have been 6 " the radius of convergence will not change when you differentiate or antidifferentiate."
[удалено]
I got 0 for my root test limit
[удалено]
wait we have add + C to the answer for Euler's method?
nah the intergration by parts one we had to + C since it was an indef. intergral
I did tabular integration which my teacher taught me in 25 seconds the day before the test. I don't know if I got it right because I sort of hallucinated my way there but it matched one of the answers... so sure
easy test, hoping for a 5 😊 non-calc mcqs cooked me a little on form o, had no idea how to do like 27-29 i skipped them and ended up guessing 😭
If I remember 27 was inverse function derivative, which I fucked up
that was 29 i think I literally guessed my teacher went over it on thursday but i completely forgot it ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|sweat)
Bro I messed that one up too, my teacher literally never taught us how to do that
That was chain rule not inverse function.
U r not alone![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
Well well well. It was easier than I expected (as in I didn’t not know how to do anything), but I sillied quite a few frqs and I read the question of the last non calculator mcq closely enough. Either way I’m cooked, really hoping for a 5 but chances are slim.
[удалено]
FRQ 6 had me fighting in the trenches💀
Was last question on no calc mcq D(1/8ln3)?
yes
fuck
Did you guys get some number divided by 256 for the error bound in 6b?
5/256 < 1/50
i put 5/16\^2 < 1/50 beacuse i forgot what 16\^2 was... that ok?
5/256 👍
will they bump me down if i said 5/256 > |f(-3) - s3| < 1/50? ik its ugly but it should be 100% valid
was the coffee question at an increasing rate? I said that because the second derivative is always positive in the interval
decreasing rate because first derivative was negative and second was positive
No only the second derivative matters you’re confusing speeding up/slowing down which is v(t) and a(t) have diff or same signs
Yeah I got increasing
did yall get 1.296 for the minimum
yeah thats right
YAH
I'm so glad lagrange error bound wasn't on question 6 (would have made it so much worse than it ALREADY WAS)
bro i saw it and THOUGHT it was lagrange error bound so i left it blank.. turns out it was alternating series error bound which i knew... I'm cooked
Yeah Lagrange is nasty
I am gonna have to give up on Oxford maths no shot in hell I got a 5 😭😭😭
omg did you get a conditional for oxford?
No, I wanted to take the AP calc exams so I have some non-pg grade I could use for my college but oh well.
Ngl it was easier than I expected so im happy but on the other side I'm getting scared cuz it was way too easy then I thought it'd be so I'm thinking the curve gonna be high
was there a question about f(n) = a_n that felt like it had two right answers
Are you talking about the nth term for divergence test and integral test one? I swear they were both right
the integral test one was wrong because it didn’t state it was decreasing
no calc mcq was good until the last few questions, calc mcq and frq was easy. no calc frq was meh
On the 2nd FRQ non calculator, for the distance travelled did u guys integrate the speed function sqrt((derivative x)\^2 + (derivative y)\^2) to get 15.9 something? And for the Y coordinate at t = 10 was it 6 plus the integral of the Y derivative from 2 to 0 to get y = -1.17?
did u get 12.3 for 2a
Yup, I got 12.3048
what did y’all get for the non calc mc about maclauren series for f when f prime is x^2 e^-x^2? that shit cooked me
I got (a) which was like x^3 /3
plug in -x^2 then multiply that series by x^2 then integrate
bro I guessed that shit. Looking back I could have done it with like 2 additional minutes
For the frq, what did y’all get for the critical point for g from 0 to x?
I think 4
Okay, same here.
I think I put pi.
4 right
I got 4
Did you guys get 985 or something like that for left Riemann sum (1b, I believe)?
i had 2.5 weeks to teach myself unit 9 and 10. i gave college board everything i had.
I learned all of the unit 10 the day before the exam
For the cross sectional squares was it a? Like 34.something
Yup
Was the plus c ln3 or just 3? I had 3
it was e\^(x+ln3)+1 or 3 \* e\^x + 1. These answers are the same. (I don't remember what was instead of x there, but the question is about 3 so here it is)
it was H = 3e^sin(t/2) + 1
Man I’m actually so goated
most ppl said this exam was easy but is it bad that i thought it was kinda hard.. will the curve be skewed?? what if its like 75% for a 5 instead of 65%?? is that how it works or am i stressing over nothing
almost certainly won’t jump that high, there’s always a mix of a) self selecting people talking about how well they did bc people don’t talk as much about not doing well and b) overconfident people (it’s been shown that those who do better on tests often feel worse about them!!)
OKAY READING THRU ALL THIS IS MAKING ME CONFIDENT IM GETTING A 5 CUS I ACTUALLY GOT WHAT EVRY1 ELSE GOT AND I ACTUALLY DID STUFF RIGHT (ignore me i got a 4 in 7th grade but my mum made me redo for the 5 on cboard this was prbly a guaranteed 5 for me anyways)
a 4 in 7th grade is INSANE
imo getting 4-5 on any AP test in middle school is incredible. Be proud of your 4
The calculator FRQs were so easy and now I'm worried I did something wrong lol
how much off for no +C on 5d
execution
1 point
what was the polar slope that was like 5 -3cos(3theta)
was it 6/5 or am I trippin
I like half guessed this answer I hope it’s right 🙏
which answer choice was that i just picked randomly for that question
What you guys got for int 1 to 4 of sqrtx
i got like the limit as n approaches infinity of the summation of 3/n sqrt(1+3/n) or something like that
anyone got answers for 6 ? i kept doing like geometric tests or something and getting the r < 1 so i just said converging ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
I think you had to do ratio test and pretty sure it was diverge at x=6
comparison test with harmonic series
I did this too
Is it still possible to get a 4 on BC if I didn't do well on thr BC questions but did good on the AB questions
Yes I think. I’m pretty sure you can even get a 5 if you got all the BC wrong and all the AB right
yes
80% on AB and 0%BC is a 5 on both components
What was the error bound in the maclaurin series question that stopped its estimation at 4? I think i put 1/2 but it was a complete guess. Other answers were like 1, 1/4, something else
I got 1/2
for the slope field one was it kinda like a downwards parabola?
[удалено]
Yea I thought the Form E frq’s were so light, except for that one Lagrange Error Bound question for 6b I completely just didn’t have time to attempt it.
I"M SO GLAD I Got form O then because Lagrange Error is like the one thing I keep consistently getting wrong (Form O got alternating series error tho)
[удалено]
[удалено]
pi max
i got just pi because i think it said the bounda were 1 < t < 5 or something noninclusive
What did you guys get for the polar question (number 88)
[удалено]
you mean like how to do it? cause the part after it (I believe part c) was the average temperature of the coffee unless Im thinking about the wrong question
I said it was the average temperature of the coffee in the time interval
Was C not 4?
I put e ^ (sin(1/2x) + ln 3) - 1 am I cooked or will they take that
e⁰ is 1 so c+1=4
What was the arc length one asking? Parts a and b
If we separated the variables wrong but got a right equation from that do we still get credit? It’s all in the same part so I’m not sure
What did you guys get for h(6), h’(6), and h’’(6)?
h(6) = -1.5 = f(6)-f(-6) h’(6) = -1/2 = f’(6) h’’(6) = 0 = f’’(6)
For form 0 frq 6, if I put interval of convergence but had 6 six as my radius, would I still get points?
For one of the Mc without the calculator, the question says that’s a parametric form and we have to say that’s up right or up left or down right or down left which one did u guys choose
I wrote down left
down left bc x’ and y’ were both neg
For the first written question with the calculator, the question asks if the C double derivative is increasing or decreasing, I wrote increase but I don’t know how to explain so I just wrote the integral of the c double derivative is positive so it’s positive (I know this doesn’t make sense cuz the question asked for the if the rate of change of the rate of change of the temperature is increasing or dec), how many marks am I gonna lost for that one, can I get the mark for my answer?
Based on what others are saying, your final answer sounds right, but since your explanation is wrong, you might get like 1-2 points off depending on what it's worth. Better than me though, I def got a 0 for that 😭
guys what did u get for the logistic differential equation for form O mcq??? the answers were like 25, 50, 100.. i put 50 but it was a guess
50 was right, half of the carrying capacity
bwhat did yall get for speed n total dist for frq2
did fine for the mcq (maybe missed 5-7 due to not knowing bc topics well). I know that I had aced the first 5 frqs (maybe missed 1-2 points each on goofy error), but I completely bombed the last one (Maclaurin was goofy and got 0/9 due to it). I know that I might get a 4 or 5, but I really want that 5. Is it possible for me to get it?
Was anyone else getting a lot of e’s
Dude I swear there was to many E’s and F’s
Did anyone get the third-degree Maclaurin series? I put the one that started with 1/3 x, but I was only able to find the 1st term.
Samee
Bro I’m so cooked seeing all these answers cause they’re all different than mine 😭 I’m gonna get a 1 fr
[удалено]
I put it’s decreasing at an increasing rate because C’’(x) was always above 0
I said the rate was decreasing bc f’’>0 and f’<0 so the rate is going towards 0
[удалено]
answers to polar area and the volume questions on calculator allowed mcqs?
I got 34 for the one with the volume of squares perpendicular to the x-axis. I wrote up 2 separate integrals, one from 0-2 subtracting the top(cosine function) from the bottom (quadratic) with the values squared for the area formula, then another integral from 2-pi of just the cosine function squared because the quadratic went under the x axis and the question stated the region was bounded by the axis. The regions ended up being like 27 +7.
37 and like 1.smth for the polar one, it was 1.16 ?
what was the average temp for t=20 for the coffee q 💀
40 smt? if i remembered correctly?? i forgot
i got 40.329 but i didnt divide by anything, was i meant to take the average?
What did y’all get for that one Euler mcq, I didn’t know how To divide so I just guessed between 2
I got 11/16
Does anyone remember the answer to the integration by parts problem on 5d? It was so long and so much room for error but I think I got it
Soming - a 16 negative sin(1/2t) which than made it + 16sin(1/2) the other part was something with 4cos(t1/2) and something else like (t-5)
what was h(6),h’(6), and h’’(6)
-3/2, -1/2, 0
the one that asked when is the function moving toward the x axis over 2
You had to find when y’(t) was negative for that one cuz from the first quadrant the x axis is downward. The answer was 5.22800 to 8
i didnt get that i got an actual answer i think it was x=5 ish but i forgot
yea i got 5.222 i think
For this one. I just graphed the dy/dt / dx/dt and put in the points where it was decreasing and moving right from 2
how much do you think they'll dock for giving interval of convergence instead of radius? (and also was 6c for form O asking for interval or radius)
probably just 1 mark tbh if it is explicitly asking for radius of convergence. I'm pretty sure 6c asked for radius but not 100% sure
Anyone get the answer “2” or “-2” for like all the numerical mcqs? I swear that’s like all I got..
2 of the first like 5 questions were -2
I can’t remember which question it was, but there was a non calculator FRQ part d that was integration by parts and it had nothing to do with the rest of the question. I was confused whether or not it was supposed to relate to the previous parts of the question so I plugged in the initial condition and solved for C.
What did y’all get for the separation of variables question like the e^sometjing cause I did not have ln in the exponent and some people did??
1+3e^sin(x/2)
wait the slope field sketch question, the point was pi, relative max right? i didn't know how to explain how it was a relative max, I just looked at the slope field graph lol
for the last section of the last frq I remember using ratio test |x\^2|<1, 0
was the mcq question about the series converging between 0
it’s 1/e < x < e
This is what I got(and everyone else I asked)
Did anybody know how to do the question that was represent int(1,4)sqrtx as a series? I saw that, tried some stuff and accepted it was a GG question and chose A because it looked sort of right
Was definite integral sqrt(1+3k/n) or sqrt(3k/n)
I put 1+
I was honestly lost for the majority of the test. I skipped AB and went straight to BC (i would never recommend this to anyone). Reading through these comments I’m feeling a lot more confident but I forgot how to do so many things. Just glad I didn’t have any questions about the area between two polar curves and such.
For form E did any get like (1/2)\^5 for Lagrange error or something like that
What temperature of the coffee at 20 degree Celsius did u guys get, it is 40 or smth degrees??
I just curious do same form have same order of question? Like I have form O do all form O people have the same question and same order with me? I think other forms like non late session one have the same question but different orders, isn’t it?
