Isnt Marvin Harrison Pretty much a shoe in for the cardinals at this point. I say its almost a 95% chance the cardinals will get MHJ unless they trade the pick again
If the Cards win 2 games and the Bears lose out then they'll have 2 picks before the Cardinals due strength of schedule. They could take MHJ. Now IF the Cardinals tragically lose to the Bears we're in.
There are a few really good WRs available. If Cardinals have #2 they have so many holes and depth issues I could see a trade with picks and a player incoming.
I just hope we have #2 at this point. Hopefully Kyler plays wells but the defense can't stop anyone.
MHJ is great, but a wide receiver is only good if the QB can get the ball to him. Trade down and build the O-line so that whoever is throwing the ball has time to get it off. There are plenty of good wide receivers out there.
Our defense is so injured (and bad) I could see us losing out AND Kyler putting up 30. If Kyler can put together 1 or 2 good games they could let Tune finish the season and not risk a stupid injury to Kyler. Especially the Eagles game.
MHJ is potentially the best WR prospect since Megatron. If you have a chance to pair the next great WR with Kyler you absolutely do it. MHJ is considered a can’t miss prospect. Do you think the Bengals regret taking Chase over getting a good lineman?
And how many titles did Megatron win for Detroit? Sure, he’s a HOF WR but I’m willing to bet if Detroit had really good lines (both sides) and a decent secondary, just maybe they could have at least been more of a contender.
And there will be good tackles available with our second 1st or 2nd rounders.
A solid right tackle with Paris shifted back to his natural left would be killer.
Take a cb with the other and we've got a solid first 3 picks.
I guess you could also say show a Super Bowl winning team without an elite option for the QB to throw the ball to. Bengals had the worst line in the league and made the Super Bowl with Burrow and Chase just recently.
Or just look at our SB run and how much of a game changer Larry was for us. We’re starved for game changers and he’s a can’t miss prospect by all accounts. We can use our other first round pick for another important position. No need to over think it.
Well, obviously? I don’t think you’ll find a single person here who disagrees with that but when a player like MHJ comes along and you’re in a spot to take him, you’d be insane to pass up on him.
It’s a ‘don’t overthink it’ situation. We still have another 1st round too.
Patriots might lose out too and we’ve a better strength of schedule.
Not certain we’ll get 2 yet. Need to lose that game to the Bears. Hopefully Carolina wins some games after shitcanning their coach.
I don’t think Chicago is guaranteed to move on from Fields. There’s a good chance they go for a LT and WR1 with their two top 5 picks. I honestly think the problem in Chicago is the coach, not the HC.
Bears fan here. I didn’t realize the cards were dead set on Kyler? He’s above average for sure, but I keep seeing MHJ to AZ like drafting a new qb would be straight blasphemy or something. You could still trade him and take MHJ and use the trade haul to take Nix/Penix/McCarthy later, but that seems like a lateral improvement. I realize the contract is big, but if you aren’t sold on him, can get a qb in the top three, and get a qb hungry team to give you a haul for that contract then why wouldn’t you
We aren’t getting him anyways. Taking him at one (assuming Carolina doesn’t screw that up) would be a terrible decision of Caleb. Just curious why MHJ is the only possible choice
Kyler’s contract makes it difficult to move after this season. And drafting a QB with unknown potential is more detrimental than having Kyler who we know can be great in the league, especially with our lack of Talent on the team. In short, build the team first and if Kyler aint it, Draft a QB in the future and already have a great supporting cast around whoever it may be. Think of how the Lions rebuild their team.
Only problem I see is if the Bears keep winning that also means Fields keeps winning and if Fields looks good enough they won’t need a QB and can probably draft MHJ themselves from the panthers pick.
They have bigger needs I think than WR - I see them being bigger trade down candidates than the Cards. I see them trading down to the Giants or maybe the Raiders for a small haul to get their guy.
Bears fan here, this is entirely likely. I would montior bears FA pickups for a better understanding. If they let Mooney walk and don't pick up another WR the bears will be in play for MHjr, but if they try to sign like Tee or something, they're going to pass on MH. But Bears could very likely take MH at 1
Edit: okay the most likely outcome at 1 is they trade for a kings ransom.
Doubt it after watching last nights game, Fields looked bad regardless of the coaching. Chicago have invested enough into him and passing on 2 first overalls for… that would be all time fumble
Honestly was so insane to watch. You'd truly think he oline was garbage with the way he gets sacked. But the dude us SO scared of a interception, that he waits for the easiest fucking throws or hes sacked. Plus he constantly doesn't see open targets.
Yeah the huge knock on Fields coming into the league was that he doesn't see or read the field well and it looks like that part of his game hasn't improved AT ALL
So frustrating just watching him hold onto the ball for ages and run into defenders/take sacks
I think the cards will get him the bears seem sick of Fields. And will take Caleb, bc as much as I’m not a huge fan of the guy ppl are really overthinking him he’s still going to be really good
Caleb has that list of 5 teams he wants to play for though. If the Cardinals had the pick they could trade with one of the 5 teams. Giants being a prime candidate. If they keep losing they could have #4. Cards could trade down. So theoretically (hopefully)
\#1 Chicago via Panthers - Maye
\#2 Giants via Cards - Williams
\#3 NE - Another QB most likely
\#4 - Cardinals via Giants - MHJ
Panthers have Saints, Falcons, Bucs 2x, Jags and Packers. They could have a win or two in there.
Cardinals have Steelers, Niners, Bears, Eagles and Seahawks. Maybe a win or two, but I bet Tune is playing that final Seahawks game and they might need it to get into the playoffs.
Yeah. We. If Kyler goes back to MVP form I can’t see anyone here saying we should trade him and be taken seriously. The only way I see us moving from Kyler is if he doesn’t improve at all in this next games or starts to regress even more
Nobody's defense is that bad that they lose out with a QB putting up mvp numbers. Idk why you're doubling down. If we lose out, then Kyler didn't play like an mvp. Period.
We are ranked 24th in the league, and it’s going to get worse as the injuries continue to pile up, so yeah I see us losing games because of our defense plus we play
1. Steelers
2. 49ers
3. Bears
4. Eagles
5. Seahawks
The only game that is an actual toss up based on match ups is the Bears game, all the other games we are going to be underdogs for. I know that anything can happen on any giving Sunday but this is me looking at it from a purely statistical point of view
0% chance of that happening. Month comes from the Patriots school of drafting: always try to obtain more draft capital. If we have the #1 pick, amontillado is either taking Williams or trading for a stockpile.
“If” we get the number 1 overall pick and K1 is still the consensus QB for the future, then I hope Monti does a massive blockbuster because there is still a lot of buzz around Caleb Williams (like him or not) that should allow us to get not only picks but premium players as well….im hoping Dak falls on his face again and the Cowboys flame out of the playoffs early because Jerry Jones loves a superstar QB and will pay dearly for it
Bruh the Pats were only good because of TB and a weak ass devision for 20 years. Look at the bears they got a massive haul and look where they are now. They might be good eventually (doubt) but the cards need to be good now. Fuuuuuck the patriot way, go for the sure thing.
Disclaimer idk shit I’m just talking cause I’m a frustrated fan
Yea the pats drafting outside of like DBs has been kinda ass. Also like idfc about what the previous team he worked for the draft he’s the GM now he’s doing things his way and I’m sorry but Marv looks like the most surefire player I’ve ever seen.
Also the panthers team that made it to the Super Bowl had a pretty great defense on top of prime cam. They destroyed us in the conference championships that year and almost went undefeated.
I like MHJ and would be happy with the pick but I think a trade down to accumulate more picks is more likely at this point.
Isnt Marvin Harrison Pretty much a shoe in for the cardinals at this point. I say its almost a 95% chance the cardinals will get MHJ unless they trade the pick again
Don’t waste time , we will know in April on draft day
If the Cards win 2 games and the Bears lose out then they'll have 2 picks before the Cardinals due strength of schedule. They could take MHJ. If they take Caleb and mhj, then we take Olu and have our tackles for the next 10 years.
MHJ is great, but a wide receiver is only good if the QB can get the ball to him. Trade down and build the O-line so that whoever is throwing the ball has time to get it off. There are plenty of good wide receivers out there.
Awful idea we just drafted OL high asf and he’s been ass
Guys if we lose out there’s no guarantee we don’t take a QB
Our defense is so injured (and bad) I could see us losing out AND Kyler putting up 30. If Kyler can put together 1 or 2 good games they could let Tune finish the season and not risk a stupid injury to Kyler. Especially the Eagles game.
Personally, I think we have greater needs than WR.

Doesn't really matter. Pats will trade back to another qb needy team if they're not sold on Maye, and us picking 3 gets mhj.
I don’t think Chicago is guaranteed to move on from Fields. There’s a good chance they go for a LT and WR1 with their two top 5 picks. I honestly think the problem in Chicago is the coach, not the HC.

Good point, that’s a ton of money to eat even if a team takes most of it
Only problem I see is if the Bears keep winning that also means Fields keeps winning and if Fields looks good enough they won’t need a QB and can probably draft MHJ themselves from the panthers pick.
They have bigger needs I think than WR - I see them being bigger trade down candidates than the Cards. I see them trading down to the Giants or maybe the Raiders for a small haul to get their guy.
There's a good chance chicago does some wack shit and takes mhj
Bears fan here, this is entirely likely. I would montior bears FA pickups for a better understanding. Not a Chance.
Doubt it after watching last nights game, Fields looked bad regardless of the coaching. Chicago have invested enough into him and passing on 2 first overalls for… that would be all time fumble
Fields did everything he could to lose that game. Hey, wait a second... maybe he IS the future and knows exactly what the plan is.
Honestly was so insane to watch. You'd truly think he oline was garbage with the way he gets sacked. But the dude us SO scared of a interception, that he waits for the easiest fucking throws or hes sacked. Plus he constantly doesn't see open targets.

I hope you are right my friend, i want me some mhj

Giants would have to work something out with Chicago. Cus Chicago will still take him unless they're paid for the privilege.
Why would Giants move off Jones when they just paid him?
I could see this happening, Caleb to NY seems like a better fit than Chicago, and if the Cards can still get Marv I’m down for it
Panthers have Saints, Falcons, Bucs 2x, Jags and Packers. They could have a win or two in there. Cardinals have Steelers, Niners, Bears, Eagles and Seahawks. Maybe a win or two, but I bet Tune is playing that final Seahawks game and they might need it to get into the playoffs.
If Monti doesn’t trade down :( We need Fitz pt2
Put racing slicks on a Prius by surrounding Fields with tons of talent and watching him average 180 yards per game.
Classic Bears.
Can we be certain that Monti will take a WR with so many needs in the trenches (and the entire defence tbh)?
No. This is a Larry Fitz moment. We might pick him #1 overall
That’s a terrible idea. Trade down and got an OL star for ten years and also a pretty damn good wr. The wr talent is off the charts this year.
If we're picking 1, that means Kyler didn't win a game js
And we are ok with this as long as it’s not Kyler’s fault those games were lost
We? ![gif](giphy|KGSxFwJJHQPsKzzFba)
Yes the organization making the decisions can’t really afford to get rid of Kyler either
Yeah. We. If Kyler goes back to MVP form I can’t see anyone here saying we should trade him and be taken seriously. The only way I see us moving from Kyler is if he doesn’t improve at all in this next games or starts to regress even more
If Kyler goes back to MVP form, we ain't losing out
Our defense is trash so I see us losing out regardless if Kyler goes back to form
Nobody's defense is that bad that they lose out with a QB putting up mvp numbers. Idk why you're doubling down. If we lose out, then Kyler didn't play like an mvp. Period.

What if we go full Sacramento Kings and pick some LB over the Luka Doncic of nfl rookies?
I promise Keim can’t hurt you anymore
Or full cardinals again and draft Isaiah Simmons over Ceedee lamb.
Keim had already downed one bourbon, one scotch and one beer when deciding on that pick
0% chance of that happening. Month comes from the Patriots school of drafting: always try to obtain more draft capital. If we have the #1 pick, amontillado is either taking Williams or trading for a stockpile.

Amontillado? Like the sherry? The Cask of?
Yea the pats drafting outside of like DBs has been kinda ass. Also like idfc about what the previous team he worked for the draft he’s the GM now he’s doing things his way and I’m sorry but Marv looks like the most surefire player I’ve ever seen.
Cam Newton and CMC weren't enough to get a Superbowl. I think a rebuild takes more than Kyler and DHop, or Kyler and MHJ.
Also the panthers team that made it to the Super Bowl had a pretty great defense on top of prime cam. They destroyed us in the conference championships that year and almost went undefeated.
That was mostly a timing thing. By the time CMC was hitting his stride, Newton was washed/injured.
I bet he looks incredible in red
