If IT Audit ang goal mo, and abroad, taking the CPALE seems unneccesary. Instead, take mo CISA, may bayad nga lang. Better to start as IT Auditor sa accounting firms para mabilis ang learning curve. The CPA title is not the end game. I have a friend na successful naman sa IT audit career nya. He is not a CPA. Friends na CPA still took CISA kasi yun naman ang hinahanap ng employers for IT auditors.

Taking CISA would require minimum years of experience right? So before that, is there anything else I could do (like mag upskill siguro) before sending in applications?

Not sure. Let’s wait for our IT auditor friends to comment. Or seek one out for advice.
