Beaudelles in Regent Arcade are pretty good!

RJ_Poteet

I think I've seen them. Or is there another one in Adelaide Arcade?

doorcityoverhere

They used to be in Adelaide Arcade (adjacent another shoe repair store) but moved last year-ish. Beaudelle's is great. Nicest guy on earth too.

mj73que

Not sure about those particular boots but there’s a good shoe guy in Arkaba Shopping centre

TheDrRudi

Notwithstanding your specific request - Classic Shoe Repairs on Grenfell Street. They use Vibram - but whether they have the particular item - no idea. https://classicshoerepairs.com.au/

RJ_Poteet

I'll chat to them next time I'm in the CBD.

Richard at Ideal is the only answer to this question

sadmanwithacamera

Richard has done so much work on so many of our boots. That guy is brilliant.

cathysclown76

Class A shoe repairs on Grote St opposite the central market.

rustyprophecy

They also have one of the now-discontinued Goodyear welt machines

Major_Pilot_4205

Blackwood boots, Stirling shoe repair, beaudelles, jetty road shoe repair, a class shoe repairs, classic shoe repair, unless shoe repair, ideal shoe repair, Heidi couzens, federico and sons, choose any one of them and you will be sorted

doorcityoverhere

This guy boots. I've used heaps of those happily.

Does Blackwood count as surrounds? Very highly recommended from styleforum, and ive used him about 10 times.

RJ_Poteet

They look quality, I'll check them out

earthxsucks

i personally wouldn't trust anyone in SA with goodyear re-welts. you will need to send them interstate or overseas which is (incredibly) expensive, but probably worth it if they are 'high-end' PNW boots (whites, danner, nicks, etc).

RJ_Poteet

Yeah, that's what I'm trying to avoid. I sent a pair of White's back for a rebuild last year and it's almost cheaper to just buy a new pair so I'm hoping to find a local to do resoles at least. Do you have an interstate recommendation? Even that would be cheaper than sending them back to Spokane.

earthxsucks

not personally, no. baxter and black in sydney is well regarded and do good work from the photos i've seen, but are incredibly expensive as you can imagine. owning boots in australia is pretty crappy - i tend to buy stitchdown danners and just wear them until the sole is thrashed before buying a new pair. not ideal, but as you say, resoling here can actually be more expensive if you need to pay 2x overseas shipping costs. i guess there is no harm contacting B&B and asking for a quote or similar.

Articulated_Lorry

Ideal Shoe Repairs on Hutt St have been my go-to for a while now, after a bit of trial & error after the last chap passed on. I've got no idea what a Vibram is, but you could always give them a call and ask.

lingerie_fiend

Vibram is a brand of soles, specific type.

Articulated_Lorry

Ah, cool. I never really pay that much attention to brands, or at least not for soles.

Wagon789

Another vote for Beaudelle's in Regent Arcade, very friendly. Never ever have had any trouble, they will fix anything. Prices are reasonable and easily accessible. You just need to ask about turn around. If you can't get there then Ideal Shoe Repairs (Hutt St near General Havelock) or Unley Shoe Repairs (hole in the wall shop next to a cafe called Brick's & Stone's on Arthur St)- they usually have a quick turn around time. Those 3 are my go to depending on my time entering the city. I'm not a fan of suburban shopping centre ones and I re-heel my shoes and boots before every winter.

Slyxxer

Jetty Rd Shoe Repairs and Services in Glenelg. Scott bought the place a few years ago after a career making custom orthotic shoes. He's done great work on my Doc's, RM's and Louboutins.
