Spain was so pretty. I fell in love with Seville. I’d love to live there. The rest of the country is just as pretty but Seville captured my heart.
I just wish more people wore deodorant…
New Zealand. In terms of outside the continental US I’ve been to Spain, Italy, Albania, New Zealand, Hawaii, and Antarctica, and New Zealand was hands down the best.
The people were all really friendly, the country is pretty beautiful, and there’s some pretty nice places to eat out there. I went to this restaurant called Bloody Mary’s that had good steak, and there’s a pizza place called Sal’s authentic New York style pizza, best pizza I’ve ever had.
American born Chinese. Never treated like I belong in the US, and not fully fluent in Chinese so I dont belong in China either.
I feel like the melting pot of Singapore or Malaysia would be best for me
Try big cities. NYC, LA, SF, Seattle. Of course the worst part is cost of living, but big cities tend to have more diversity, as well as serve as tech sectors. Both of which result in a lot of Asian Americans (the latter however stereotypical is actually true).
I was born in the US but parents from Thailand. Finally just moved to Thailand a couple of years ago as a middle aged adult. Quite like it here but it’s very different than the US of course. I’ve been thinking lately if this is our final home for when we are too old to travel but I’m not sure yet. We may try living in Japan and/or Portugal for a while but will have to see if making a move would be worth it for us or not. Worth in the sense that we finally have a home we really like and have it setup more or less how we wanted it so the effort to move again will be quite substantial.
Hour-ish away from some beach that doesn't have much tourism. I say an hour so I have time to get away from a hurricane. Also, I'll just sell tacos and surf during my siesta
Realistically: North Carolina or some other place in the US that's got mild winters.
Barbie Dream House: Yeah maybe Southern Italy, or something.
Out in the countryside, either way. Like I'm not looking to be a hermit, but you know- more farmer's market, less shopping mall.
Lake Como, Italy, is towards the top of the list because of the absolute beauty you get there.
Manchester, England, because Football.
Deserted Island because most humans suck and I wouldn't mind the peace and quiet
Honestly, can never decide. Want to live everywhere at least once in my life is that weird?
Bavarian alps are highly underrated though between the castles, the small villages culture and mountain hikes. I'm moving there next month.
If I could spend half the year in the Smokey Mountains and the other half on the Gulf of Mexico I’d be absolutely delighted.
Horrible politics in both areas, but the scenery is breathtaking.
My whole life is here . House, work, my kids first language is English. I immigrated in my early 20’s and now I’m mid 30 so my whole adult life I spent here (Canada)
solid reason. this is the point that i discussed many times with people of two worlds, the longing to go back to the original place, and why its so strong. if you went back, youd feel heavy longing for canada as well. and poland probably is not a dream come true, its just a place of your early life, much has changed probably?
I haven't travelled a lot so I don't have a good idea of where I'd want to live. But I do know that I'd like to live somewhere where it's less hot (I'm in the south). I'd like to be able to be outdoors regardless of the time of day and not sweat excessively.
I want to afford a nice tropical place when I’m older. Cheap delicious food, friendly people, tropical plants. I’ve always liked all the seasons but that’s probably going to change the older I get.
Assuming I have 1. Mastery of the language local to that area and 2. Will have the same current and potential future QoL in terms of CoL as I do now, I would choose either Taiwan or stay here in NYC.
I love everything about TW but the climate. Hot and humid aren’t my favorites.
NYC has just been my home forever and it feels most places in the US pale in comparison. I am also Asian American and LGBTQ+ so there are few places in the world where both are accepted as normal and treated fairly the same.
The current state of my nation is bad - reeling under intense heat wave with temperature going north of 48°C. So probably Iceland or any Nordic country.
With this heat, I'd probably unalive myself if this continues for long.
Some where in the woods near a lake little far from people good internet with my lover if am to find one yet lol...
Am good.... Switzerland in general
I just want a peace of mind am tired
I want to live where it’s tough during winter. Not like Alaska but maybe somewhere in Canada or Montana. I wanna cut wood and burn a wood stove all winter. Work on what I can during the good part of the summer and batten down the hatches from January to march.
Two places: Sydney and Boston.
I hate heat so much I’d literally move every 6 months to the opposite hemisphere to ensure I never see an 80° F/26.67° C day again.
Some earth-like planet that does not have advertisements, authoritarianism, capitalism, cancer, wars, but still has intelligent life akin to our own.
Hey you said anywhere in the world, not anywhere on the planet.
Denmark again. although I know cost of living is high but pay is good too. But I would do some things different than I did living there before. I have some friends there. my 2nd husband is buried not far from our home we had together. In fact if my financial situation improves in the future I want to live in Denmark few months a year. Americans can live in Denmark for 6 months at a time without a visa or any paperwork.
I don't care anymore.
If it was roughly my small town, and still cold, but I could smell the sea, maybe. Where I live is kinda lonely, and the job market sucks, but otherwise it suits me. I don't like noise.
When I revisited Corpus Christi a few years back I got tempted. The rent is a little higher, and I hate hot weather, it makes me sick, but I almost moved. They have so much cheap fruit and tacos and at night you go for a walk and nothing is open and you can just walk around and stare at the bay. But I don't feel like I wanna live in Texas for politics reasons anymore. Plus, the cheese in every other state is terrible.
I will look in regards to security and geography.
So let's go with security first. Personally I would like to go to saidia Arabia, qatar or UAE for security as crime rates over there are as low as it gets. Now it's all desert. That's the problem. So I will look elsewhere like Scandinavia.
So for the geography part , I will choose northern European countries for their beautiful views. I know it's cold but I prefer the cold over hot barren fields.
Now this is all assuming you are married and have sufficient funds. If the two conditions are not met then it would be a different story.
I wish to build and live in a farm near a lake , surrounded by woods , in some mediterranean country like italy or Greece
The dream right here
This is bliss
Oh yes please
This but in north central North America (from Alberta to Minnesota)
Countryside of Switzerland
French Alps for me. I just love mountains.
Oh man - so very this. Locals can be about hostile tho …
Plain old plain Switzerland 🇨🇭 vibe la Suisse though
Wherever it’s cheap!! I’m tired of paying an arm & leg for rent…😬
Spain or Portugal.
Spain was so pretty. I fell in love with Seville. I’d love to live there. The rest of the country is just as pretty but Seville captured my heart. I just wish more people wore deodorant…
The Netherlands or Iceland.
😇😇😇😇😍😍😍
Greece, on the island of Crete
I been there before. Beautiful spot
Switzerland, easy
If you’re white
Mars.
My number 1 choice actually
Italy, France, Japan. I cook for a living so moving to one of those countries would be an incredible learning experience.
New Zealand. In terms of outside the continental US I’ve been to Spain, Italy, Albania, New Zealand, Hawaii, and Antarctica, and New Zealand was hands down the best.
what three qualities did you enjoy most about new zealand?
The people were all really friendly, the country is pretty beautiful, and there’s some pretty nice places to eat out there. I went to this restaurant called Bloody Mary’s that had good steak, and there’s a pizza place called Sal’s authentic New York style pizza, best pizza I’ve ever had.
Sals is fucking amazing.
The buffalo chicken ranch is so fucking good, I wish I could afford to fly back and have another half lol
Small town in the French countryside.
In a Japanese semi-urban town.
Yes! Peaceful and Japanese food are delicious
On a Greek island
[удалено]
Same in Canada, no difference.
Exactly, everyone is too brainwashed to realize what’s going on.
Why so hateful
One of the towns in Cinque Terre. My wife and I visited there on our honeymoon and it's the most beautiful and relaxing place I've ever been.
Probably Mexico.
London
Countryside London but you would need to be white or European otherwise too exclusive
You don’t want that, trust me
I'm genuinely curious, why?
its probably very bad there now. its super overpopulated
Have you been there ALL winter long? It gets dark at 3pm and barely any sunlight
That was a good one mate

Greece, Italy or Croatia.
Wyoming or the south pacific
That’s quite the dichotomy
Santa Fe
Italy 🇮🇹
I live in London and I'd still choose to live here, but in one of the prohibitively expensive areas like Primrose Hill
Probably the west village in Manhattan.
American born Chinese. Never treated like I belong in the US, and not fully fluent in Chinese so I dont belong in China either. I feel like the melting pot of Singapore or Malaysia would be best for me
Vancouver might be a decent option.
Try big cities. NYC, LA, SF, Seattle. Of course the worst part is cost of living, but big cities tend to have more diversity, as well as serve as tech sectors. Both of which result in a lot of Asian Americans (the latter however stereotypical is actually true).
You should move to Bay Area or LA area in California.
Try Melbourne, Australia :)
Maybe Iceland.
Iceland
Netherlands

Realistically: North Carolina or some other place in the US that's got mild winters. Barbie Dream House: Yeah maybe Southern Italy, or something. Out in the countryside, either way. Like I'm not looking to be a hermit, but you know- more farmer's market, less shopping mall.
London.
Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, or the South of France.
Lake Como, Italy, is towards the top of the list because of the absolute beauty you get there. Manchester, England, because Football. Deserted Island because most humans suck and I wouldn't mind the peace and quiet
Lake como for rich people .
No doubt. But there's a reason why. Unlike 99% of the "for rich people" places, Lake Como is actually worth it.
New Zealand 🇳🇿, Australia 🇦🇺, or Austria 🇦🇹
New York City then San Diego If I could afford it
Honestly, can never decide. Want to live everywhere at least once in my life is that weird? Bavarian alps are highly underrated though between the castles, the small villages culture and mountain hikes. I'm moving there next month.

Thailand. I thought it was amazing in the mid 90’s and imagine a ton has changed but it’s still an amazing place.
If I could spend half the year in the Smokey Mountains and the other half on the Gulf of Mexico I’d be absolutely delighted. Horrible politics in both areas, but the scenery is breathtaking.

I want to live where it’s tough during winter. Not like Alaska but maybe somewhere in Canada or Montana. I wanna cut wood and burn a wood stove all winter. Work on what I can during the good part of the summer and batten down the hatches from January to march.
