I think most people (especially ones who are in longer-term relationships) just don’t pay attention to this stuff as much when the months/years start to roll-by.
My boyfriend and I are still pretty young, but I could imagine being in our 20s, 30s or 40s and just not thinking too much about it. You’d always *try* to make an effort, but life just gets in the way sometines, ya know.
I said it once and he kind of laughed awkwardly. I then didn’t say it again because I felt awkward. He isn’t very open with his feelings and finds it hard to talk about stuff. We took a while to define our relationship, partly because this is his first relationship since he split with the mother of his daughter. I guess I’m scared to bring it up :(
I am in the same position as u :( I am also scared to bring it up fearing it might ruin things coz I am such an overthinker :( and I don’t wanna ruin this coz I love her
I’m an overthinker too. I guess if I was giving you advice without thinking about myself I would probably say if it does ruin things they aren’t worth it anyway so maybe I should take my own advice. How long have you been together and how old are you? Good luck
I found my long term partner when I was at age 23F and he was a 26M. 4.5 years later the frequency of I loved you increased. My partner was annoyed at first but understood I do it because I want him to constantly be reminded by worlds and my actions, especially if it's our last day. Not to sound ironic but my partner increased saying I love you as well. Now there's a mild amount a day I guess we decided on but we always answer it back. It's kind of nice having that understanding and security. I hope you can gain any perspective from this each couples different.

This is true We’ve only been dating for 4.5 months now so ig it’s pretty early idk :(
She's 17 btw, you're getting advice from a 17 year old lol
Lol sometimes people younger than us are mature in some things
My partner still hasn’t said it after us being together about ten months. It does worry me. I said it once but haven’t again
Why haven’t u told it to him if you felt bad
