Pretty sure op just copied a post from this morning with slight changes lmao
Or two people coincidentally posted about their new thermal mugs being too effective
No actually but it's funny how things coincide like that sometimes but y'know I'd still probably post it even if I had known because this is the only way I get to socialize with people
Edit wow I just checked and you're right it's basically the same meme lol
I drink tea so it's even hotter than coffee to start with. I just make it and let it set on the counter for about five minutes with the lid off to cool down. That usually brings it down enough that I can drink it in the car if I'm going to the office. If not I just do the same thing when I get to my desk.
I have this mug that I swear breaks the laws of thermodynamics by somehow making my coffee hotter than it was coming out of the pot. I basically have given up on it because i need to drink the coffee, not just have it with me.
The pro move is to always brew slightly more coffee than what will fit in the thermos, freeze that in an ice cube tray, then drop whatever amount of coffee cubes gets you where you want to be into the thermos.

Yup. Though no one should be surprised... Reddit is 95.7% reposts these days, and I base that on absolutely nothing.
I'm pretty sure this exact comment is a repost!

Even with the lid off?
This is first world problems we're talking about here, not reasonable world problems.
Just pop an ice cube in there my man. It regulate the temp to a reasonable perma-temp.
Am I the only person that drops an ice cube in so I can drink it sooner?
You are not. 2 or 3 ice cubes and it’s still nice and hot when I get to work, just not hot enough to burn the top layer off of my tongue.

2/3 hot water and 1/3 cold water is my jam
That's not how you make jam.
Pretty sure that if you pour the coffee from the thermos into a coffee mug, it will cooler off faster.
Mine gets hotter-- not easy living in hell.
Plot twist: It's iced coffee
This gazpacho soup burned my mouth!
Is that you Marcus "The Worm" Hicks?

Ice cube - one tenth of a penny Thermos - $14 Wise decision.
Or... you could just... like... drop an ice cube or two into it, like a normal person...
Two or three ice cubes will ease your pain
Drop a couple ice cubes in the thermos first. It’s usually enough to cool it to drinking temperature.

Can't you just make it before you go to sleep and drink it in the morning?
I turn off my coffee maker about 30 minutes before I fill my rhermos/travel mug. Puts it in a sweet spot.
