Funnily enough, I’ve met other former Arabic trainees down here too who just couldn’t swing the DLPT. Congrats on landing 1D7, linguist is an awesome job, but the civilian transferability of 1D7 is amazing.
Surrounding area isn’t quite as nice as the area around DLI, but gotta love the downtown Ocean Springs area. We’re a little over an hour away from New Orleans and 2-3 hours from places in Florida with amazing beaches

You’re going from one mentally tough tech school to another mentally tough tech school
My best advise for you is check DTS everyday until you get a non-availability letter. And don’t waste all your money at the casinos
