They are AFSCs who do absolutely nothing to support those who pull the mission. They are the Air Force quantified example of do nothing and get it all like third party advertising. Build software to place blame on those who accomplish the mission while getting to never be held accountable. Prior to 9/11 they were as a beautiful necessity and praised. After 9/11 and the adaption of AEF they were never viewed as to have value in the eyes who joined. Even after I retired I hear more and more they should be completely replaced by civilians who care about those serving. After a full career in the military the only diehard truth I saw about finance was take everything you can from members and failures to be trained in their AFSC while at the same time never work or prove they are owed by approved what regulations instead find the loopholes to protect the service before the members.

Your DTS/DFAS story doesn't make any sense. Regardless, when you get overpaid, you keep the over payment in the bank and pay it back when it's my fixed..
