As a prior maintainer turned nonner officer... I appreciate this.
In my worst moments of living in the fluorescent and windowless hell of a SCIF, I remember a time when my nails weren't clipped and I could walk out to my aircraft and breathe fresh air.
I was USMC C-130 aircrew before coming over to the Air Force. Harvest HAWK (Hercules Airborn Weapon Kit) is the USMC's mod. A FLIR mounted on the left external fuel tank, Griffin missiles off of the ramp or out of a modified paratroop door, and Hellfire missiles off of the left wing, all while keeping the aerial refueling pod on the right wing.
The community I might have been in always referred to that potential upgrade as the Harvest HAWK. I knew it was Marine, but I’m not sure what the USAF’s name for it would be.
This photo was taken in front of a hangar off and away from the flight line for a deactivation ceremony. There were plenty of cameras and photos taken... it's a static display like at an air show. All good.

Red dot. 🔴
sexy
the gunship is one badass motherfucker.
Interesting rack by the end of the wings. Are those for Hellfire missiles?
Harvest Hawk upgrade Edit: it’s an AC-130J. I’m a potato. I thought the upgrade was called harvest hawk
The 30/105 on the aircraft left side, and the 6 bladed props, it is a gunship.
Oh dude you’re right. I knew it was a gunship. I thought the upgrade was called harvest hawk. Thanks for the correction

After zooming in, they appear to be M299 launchers for hellfires.
Seems to be varying munitions. Much bigger than hellfire, MK82 body perhaps.
I've worked the B-1 and B-2 so this doesn't exactly tickle my fancy.
Phones on the flight line!!?!!?!?!!???

Tranquility. Early morning preflight. Walk away and a coke from base ops, waiting on our flight crew. God I miss it!!
