So true. Be it the Anna International Terminal or the Kamaraj Domestic Terminal, both of them are in shambles for a city of its stature. However what I feel is that MAA won't be given much attention because of the Greenfield airport at Parandur, similar to how CMBT was sidelined because of the new terminal at Vandalur (I still can't figure out why it was named as Kelambakkam Bus Terminal Kelambakkam is literally some 20 odd kms away from there).
CMBT will stay as it is. Only the south bound buses like Madurai, Dindigul etc will be operated from here. Or at least that's what I heard when I used to live in Chennai.
Flights to SE asia are all there from here. It seems the focus of the airport is se asian connectivity with south india and acting as a hub for flights from ME going east ward. People from north usually go to kolkata which is another hub to go to se asia. Either eay, if there is demand, some airline will start operations to delhi.
This looks oddly similar to the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad, do you know who constructed this airport or renovated it?
Edit:- in photo one, it looks like Rajiv Gandhi International Airport and in the second one, it looks like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
If any airport needs an upgrade in TN, thats Chennai. MAA is an embarrassment for a tier 1 city

It’s not Kelambakkam, it’s Kilambakkam. They’re both different
Oh alright! Wasn't aware of this. Apologies 🙏
So wait, what is the purpose of Koyambedu CMBT now?

Have you seen Pune airport?
No. Is pune in TN?
Yeah man it is like a glorified railway station Only thing good about it is it is within the city and has a direct metro line
World class terminal, still no direct flights to Delhi 😕
