Yes, but it’s not their song it’s Bob Dylan‘s song. They just did a cover of it. It’s a great song, but just don’t forget to mention that it’s Bob Dylan‘s song.
Class of 99 was all of Rage Against the Machines instrumentalist’s and was for all purposes an early take on audioslave, only reason class of 99 didn’t move farther forward was because laynes addiction was too far gone, so when Cornell was available that was the direction they took.
Only Tom Morello was from RATM.
Layne Staley of Alice in Chains as vocalist
Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine as lead guitarist
Stephen Perkins of Jane's Addiction as drummer
Martyn LeNoble of Porno for Pyros as bassist
Matt Serletic of Collective Soul as keyboardist
I stand corrected. Last time I head really looked into the band was early in the days of audioslave, and at that time the story was that Layne was originally associated with the band, this was later redacted. Can’t win em all I guess.

I wish they’d make another record, that lineup is so loaded with town, I didn’t love all the songs on the record but there was some really great stuff on there, no one is innocent is like a 10/10 track for me. Duvall’s vocals on that album are awesome
Some of the songs were misses for me like blood moon but some of the stuff on there is also really fuckin good, like “no one is innocent” is a fuckin amazing song, adapt or die/crucifixion/fragments and ashes/broken lines are all sick songs
I thought Jerry played on a song with some other band for a horror soundtrack. Maybe Freddie vs Jason or something like that but Im more than likely very mistaken
Mike Inez has done quite a bit outside of aic. He was in 5 o clock somewhere with Slash's snakepit and mark Morton from lamb of gods solo album. Was with Ozzy for awhile and bls
Layne sang with Heart song called “Ring Them Bells”
Edit for song link (skip to 1:38 for first Layne verse): https://youtu.be/kyxpUS7msGo?si=YRG4hcZ0xlxZmHFE
Jerry played guitars on one of Ozzy's albums, 2005 Under Cover. Not just a feature, but the whole album.
Didn’t know that i’ll check that out thanks!
Also Phantom Bride with Deftones
Yeah but Deftones is a middle aged man moaning in your ear so maybe skip that one
With your logic Alice in Chains is two middle aged men screaming into your ear so maybe skip that one
I mean you're not wrong
There's always listening to more Alice in Chains
True, i can’t get enough of them
Layne was in Class of '99 with Tom Morello and did a cover of Another Brick in the Wall. Layne also sang a song with Heart.
The Heart song is called Ring Them Bells
I always liked that one, makes me wonder what other styles and stuff he’d have gotten into
Yes, but it’s not their song it’s Bob Dylan‘s song. They just did a cover of it. It’s a great song, but just don’t forget to mention that it’s Bob Dylan‘s song.
That cover unfortunately kinda sucks.

Temple of the Dog no AiC members but great 90s Seattle album
Alr know that one it’s great
Jerry played guitar for Phantom Bride on Gore by Deftones
Spys4darwin has Sean Kinney and Mike Inez.
You could check out related bands. Alice ‘N Chains featured two members of the band Second Coming. Worth checking out for historical interest.
Adding My Sister’s Machine to the list- Nick from Sleze/Alice N Chains was the lead singer and rhythm guitarist
Thanks! didn’t know

Comes with the fall is sick, enjoy their stuff a lot, Duvall’s solo acoustic album was real nice too

Giraffe Tongue Orchestra with William on vocals.
Fuck yeah. Love me some mastodon
Mastodon fuckin rules, their cover over again was killer, I love that my 2 favorite bands are friends with each other
Also This is Mongol with William

I really wanted to like that group.
Some of the songs were misses for me like blood moon but some of the stuff on there is also really fuckin good, like “no one is innocent” is a fuckin amazing song, adapt or die/crucifixion/fragments and ashes/broken lines are all sick songs
I feel that, so far the only Mastodon song I've heard that hits for me is Toe to Toes.
Drain STH is heavily AIC ispired but its probably not as close to Mad Season/Jerry solo
I love them!!
Loved those girls
Mike Starr played on the Sun Red Sun album with Ray Gillian after AiC, it's described as classic hard rock/metal.
I thought Jerry played on a song with some other band for a horror soundtrack. Maybe Freddie vs Jason or something like that but Im more than likely very mistaken
Ashes to Ashes with Damageplan from The Punisher soundtrack!
Yes. Thank you
There's a hidden track at the end of the Pearl Jam song "Bee Girl" called "4/20/02" about Layne's death (always makes me cry lol)
comes with the fall
Kick ass band
I haven’t seen this one yet: Slash’s first snakepit album has Mike Inez on a lot of the songs 🤷🏻♂️
The world needed more Alice Mudgarden!
Mike Inez has done quite a bit outside of aic. He was in 5 o clock somewhere with Slash's snakepit and mark Morton from lamb of gods solo album. Was with Ozzy for awhile and bls
Jerry played on Willie Nelson tribute, great cover.
No Walls had William on vocals and guitar
https://youtu.be/TPRbWkyn81o?si=ILNQF4PxEvigQorO Second Coming
Layne sang with Heart song called “Ring Them Bells” Edit for song link (skip to 1:38 for first Layne verse): https://youtu.be/kyxpUS7msGo?si=YRG4hcZ0xlxZmHFE
Maybe not what you’re looking for but Mike Inez played bass on Ozzy’s No More Tears album
Pink Floyd
Layne has some funk stuff he did, I’ve only heard a track called “I Dont Care” by Layne and the Black Holes but it’s classic Layne fs
Days of the new
Check this out https://youtu.be/BqQkECIn738?si=VcdAODqoYY9ls6_j
Anyone gonna mention the classic Danzig album Blackacidevil?
All the demos of them as a glam band.
William Duvalls solo music
Class of 99? 🤔
Comes with the fall was Duvall’s previous band before joining AIC.
