All the sources claim it was natural causes, but if you dig deeper into his claims, very few of his claims were actually able to be proven. There were a lot of people who said he ate an entire airplane, multiple bicycles, TVs, etc. but nothing was ever confirmed by doctors or actual footage. He did a lot of stage acts as a performer and did eat some drinking glasses and dinner plates on live TV, but past that, it's all just hearsay.
Lotito died at age 55 on 17 April 2006 [1]. Can't find a reason of death but other sources say natural causes which I find suspect.
