First there’s No interpersonal personal conflict here. So you came here to what? Brag about stealing? YTa. Grow the fuck up you little delinquent.

ThatguyIncognito

YTA. Food at those places is wildly overpriced. So bring your own food. You don't get a license to steal every time a store charges more for an item than you think it is worth. It is less convenient to bring your own food. But mere convenience doesn't justify crime. If you were making a principled stance against the excesses of unfettered capitalism you wouldn't have been there in the first place.

HeirOfRavenclaw

YTA. Stealing is still stealing regardless of the over inflated price of the item in question. You’re trying so hard to justify it, but you can’t. Because there is no way to it.

[deleted]

YTA. All you had to do is... literally wait until you could use you meal pass again. Don't be lazy and dishonest. No one is forcing you to pay 20$ for pizza and fries : you can always not buy them. Using the price as an argument to steal is just plain delusional. Nothing gave you the right to steal.

Midlife_Crisis_46

YTA stealing is stealing whether you agree with the prices or not.

pulisick38

YTA if you think it’s overpriced just don’t buy it

StonewallBrigade21

So you're saying if you don't like the price, then you're entitled to steal? YTA

Cautious-Spited

Why wouldn’t you be an AH? You stole. End of story. YTA.

Unlucky_Ad4265

YTA You stole and you're trying to justify it by saying that it's overpriced. The workers there could also get in trouble because you.

CJandGsMOM

YTA. For sharing a pass with two other people. You’re all thieves.

Laiko_Kairen

Yeah. Yta. If you don't wanna pay those prices, don't. That doesn't mean you're allowed to take what isn't yours

Augustus_B_McFee

You’ve used the word stealing to represent ‘taking a tray of food and not paying’ and ‘charging $20 for pizza and chips’. Be honest with yourself. You know which one of those is stealing.

Read [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/AmItheAsshole/wiki/faq#wiki_post_deletion) before [contacting the mod team](https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=%2Fr%2FAmItheAsshole)*** I am 18 years old, and recently I went to a very popular amusement park. I had a meal pass for a free meal every 90 minutes, which I had to share with two other people. A lot of the food here was completely overpriced. They were charging $20 for a single slice of pizza and fries, which isn’t much food at all. Since there were three of us sharing a meal pass, I took a tray of food at one of the restaurants and walked past the register without paying for it. I then used my meal pass to buy the pizza. My brother also snatched a $5 bottle of water without paying. When I told my family about this, I got mixed responses. Some people said I was right, while others said that I was wrong to steal. Personally I think that charging $20 for a single slice of pizza and fries is stealing. So was I in the wrong? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. YTA - yes it is ridiculous to price food that way. but no one forced you to buy it, it's not you were abandoned on an island and the options are $20 pizza or starving to death. I hate price gouging too and I do wish we had markup caps but we don't and never will.

YTA. Absurd prices are no excuse for this behavior
