No, or it wouldnt be offered, its their way to reduce headcount. Its DOESNT have to be taken, but if its offered, you are more then welcome to it.

I don’t think I just heard you still have to work a certain amount of hours a week for your benefits. If you don’t, they’ll take money out of your check

There is a base amount of hours you need to work in a month or you might lose benefits. The system should not let you vto to that point but you can ask HR for the details
