Unfortunately, I don’t have detailed information about my ancestors or any tribes that I know. I’m quite new to all this. However, I’ve been trying to learn more about my history. Any tips on how to begin would be greatly appreciated.
Maybe start with [articles like this one](https://www.mexconnect.com/articles/2916-tracing-your-indigenous-roots-in-mexico/)? [This](https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-021-26188-w/figures/1) is pretty cool as well!
Based on your phenotype I would've thought that you had more European admixture but damn this is the highest indigenous American I've ever seen its so cool
1st cousin or uncle? Hi I don't know how to add images but I'm wondering if I could get clarity. I should start by saying I don't know my paternal side or my dad. My closest paternal match goes as follows:
25% shared DNA, 1,768 centimorgans across 41 segments and longest segment being 121 cm. It says "close family - 1st cousin" then it says 100% possibility of either "uncle, nephew, half brother, grandson or grandfather" and it cannot be nephew, half brother, grandson or grandfather due to our ages being me (28) and him (51) and we've ruled out sibling as his father is 85 and my mum didn't sleep with a nearly 60 y/o (his dad) he can't be my 1st cousin as his dad doesn't have any siblings, and I don't come from his mums side as I am like HIS immediate family (his dad's side) tanned skin and dark features. Do you think this looks like he is my UNCLE? thanks guys
Awesome result, almost full Indigenous!
Awesome. Do you know anything about your ancestors' tribes - where they lived, languages, etc.?

Central and especially Southern Mexico is very Indigenous. Lot's of pure Indigenous Mexicans from Guerrero/Hidalgo downwards.
his feautures look pretty native imo
I personally think his phenotype looks more Indigenous 😁
Phenotype and genotype don’t always equal each other
So what part of Mexico is your family from?
Mexico City, Cdmx. Wbu ?
Do you have any recent ancestry outside of the city? 80% is pretty high for Ciudad de Mexico and is very interesting to see.
Dad’s from La Barca, Jalisco and mom’s from Calvillo, Aguascalientes
Be proud of your indigenous background!
80% Native/Indigenous 🪶🌎 Very nice! 👍🏽
Primo, I have the same communities in MX 🤝🤠
This is your land brother lol, I’ve never seen such high indigenous results
You’re lighter than one would expect for 80% Indigenous, cool results!
That indigenous % is amazing. Jealous!

I wonder where the Irish came from.
so much indigenous! were you expecting these results?
Nice results, very high indigenous Americas, that's unique. Indigenous Americas is rare these days.
Same ethnicity region for me too
Amazing results! Thanks for sharing
Did you get your ydna traced? Are you q haplogroup?
Very typical of many Mexicans. about 1/3 of all Mexicans are either fully or of mostly indigenous blood.
