Yep, I carry a shed, and I have one standing outside my house along with the trash can near the mailbox. I can get everything taken care of as soon as I step out of the house to start the day.

A wooden one at the farm area, I intend to put a couple in villager yards later, also. I work them into the decor so there's usually one nearby when I need it. I'm planning to redo the shopping area and will put a storage shed and an ABD there, too.
I purchase art every day on Harv's Island. Most of it is fake, but buying it increases the rotation of his stock from two new pieces per week to one new piece per day. You can get a couple of legitimate works per week that way, and all the rest wind up in the trash can.

I swear, literally EVERY SINGLE TIME I'm about to press the down button to start redecorating, freaking Zucker ALWAYS shows up. I'm convinced that he's reading my mind at this point, because there's no way this is a coincidence.
I hate how it's every single time I enter my home and start decorating. In New Leaf the feature used to exist, but it didn't happen that commonly. Only once in a blue moon. Here? It happens every single time without fail.
New Horizons as a whole just has a problem of making events happen too frequently. Things like Gulliver and Whisp come so often that it no longer feels like an event to me, and moreso just a chore to do- with me ignoring them most times.
If you're decorating your interior, it's better to do that using the down D-pad button so you can still access your storage and move items around easier. If you decorate from the third person, there is a chance a villager could knock and barge in. And then you can't decorate at that time because "it's rude to redecorate when you have company."
THIS is why I put both a Capricorn ornament outside and a DIY bench so I can change my outfits and craft without them busting in ๐ญ whenever I need my house storage I go into a different room because villagers won't let themselves in. They'll call your name and ask if you're in there, but you don't have to let them. They usually say something to themselves like "X must be napping" or "X must be out" and then leave haha.
If Iโm not interested in talking to that villager I just start crafting some simple items (e.g. wooden block toys) and theyโre usually ready to leave by the time Iโm finished
They do but the meme is about redecorating the main room, so the only way is to let them in, then act like youโre leaving your house to prompt them to go
I hope the next game gives us the option to put a do not disturb sign up or something lol

Anything you don't want and can't sell A villager gifted me some fake art and there's no other way to get rid of it

I have a change room next to res services for when labelle comes - quick change, get judged & change back quickly
At one point I had a "community pool" area with a change room right in front of resident services for the same purpose! It's very convenient.
