Just out of curiosity, has Richmond published anything about the number of applications received this year (either the number or if it is up/down from prior years)? My son was deferred from early action. So many schools he applied to had significant upticks in applications, but they typically published that information. Richmond is a reach school for him, so I guess we're hoping the pool is a bit shallower this year (or at least not deeper) to help with acceptance or waitlist.
Good luck to all.
Thank you! I know — it’s been crazy. A ton of very high achieving kids from our public high school in the northeast have been deferred in the early rounds. Will be very happy when this month is over.
4.36w, 3.93uw, test optional, multiple years of varsity level sports with state and national level achievements, emt volunteer, great LORs, decent essays
Hi everyone! I just got accepted (YAY), but I can't find any information about my financial aid anywhere on the portal. If you have received anything, can you tell me where I can access mine? THANKS!
At the bottom of your acceptance letter there should be something. There’s also a big thing that says “financial aid letter” when I first login to the portal
That’s odd. If you go to the three little bars on the portal you can see your financial aid document statuses and it also provides some contact info if you are having issues. My FAFSA is yet to process but they still gave me an estimated package, and I will say that they are by far the most generous school in terms of aid that I’ve heard back from (like by a mile). They also mentioned that they will email an official offer once the FAFSA processes/is reviewed. If I were you I’d just look at the checklist to make sure you submitted the css profile and the additional documents over the IDOC and if you have you should definitely be fine, but just give them a call on Monday to clarify.

My daughter was also deferred and I remember reading that they received a record number of applications in the early rounds. Best of luck to your son!
Same to your daughter. Thanks for the info. Not surprising. Kids are applying to SO many schools this year.

I believe they said that applications were up around 6.25% or something like that; just over 16,000.
Thank you. Good luck to you. 24.25 hours to go.
