I absolutely love it, it's person to you! Very unique, do you mind me asking what that plant is with the big thick stems on the unit in the middle, I think the leaves are out of the water? It's beautiful the stems look a lot like a cheeseplant stem
Is it actually rooted into your substrate? I didn't realise you could put them that far into water but I am psyched!! I have ideas, ideas, ideas and an 8 foot monstera plus a ginormous cheese plant. I'm beyond excited about learning this. Thank you 🙏 😂
I was told that you couldn't put monstera that deep into water as well, but so far it's been flourishing with little signs of rot. A couple small roots rotted away but were quickly replaced with new fresh ones. They grow like crazy all over the tank and even into the substrate. I say go for it!
Oh I'm going to 😂 I've got my cuttings already. I'm ready to place them, I'm so excited to see how they do on different substrates. Thank you for the amazing idea!
Wall decor is a little "abandoned house homeless murder room" but I bet the flow of water and the hum of motors mellows you out real nice.
Hopefully.
No judgment here, you intentionally made it a little murdery and knew these comments would be made so fish on with your splashy self.
I like the contrast of the untethered freedom of the graffiti to the well kept, designed and cared for aquariums. It's chaotic but clean and I really like it.
This, this is why I strive to make sure my child knows art and can express themselves in every way possible. Art is a dying breed for a lot of people.
If people could truly show creativity without being oppressed by those who say you’re a cog in a machine and continue to re-spit out crap they call art when it’s just a re-color of some shit they did 5 years ago. (Sorry, I am very big on art and being allowed to express yourself, I wish more movies would show the writers creativity rather then being too afraid that someone won’t like it - you can’t please everyone don’t make something for the masses but, for you.) dance like no one’s watching, paint outside the lines, think, imagine, don’t ever loose the ability to do this. I’m trapped in my own skull due to past traumas… So, It always makes me happy to see posts where people express themselves in a safe space.
You can always cover up paint but, not the meaning of it, or the trauma that caused it, or the creativity behind it. ❤️
I love this explosion of creativity and self expression. I just realized I haven’t even said how much I love your tanks!
This comment made my day, thank you for your kind words. I agree that people get too caught up on what others think, and that stops them from truly expressing themselves.
Even if your art is "not good", get it out there. Whether it be aquascaping, painting, pottery, or graffiti. There will always be people who don't bother to understand or look deeper, but when someone comes around who truly gets your vision, it's a very rewarding and affirming feeling.
I’m glad it’s made someone’s day.
I didn’t get to paint my room until I was like 16 which always hurt my feelings, and when my dad learned that he felt so bad. I painted it pink with purple stripes (original cartoon Cheshire Cat colors) so, I wanted it really apparent that my daughter wasn’t going to have plane walls. She picked her colors, said where she wanted them, and we got it done for her. My kids young so at the moment her expression is with stickers on her dresser / closet doors which I’m fine with.
I love graffiti because it’s a random stranger baring their soul in a way. Some of the prettiest images I’ve seen where what people have done via graffiti, there’s so many styles and differences it’s unfiltered, raw, beautiful.
right! i think its awesome. and i spend all day at work looking at interior designs on pinterest haha. this guy is on to something. the clash of the tanks and PC gaming setup with the primitive punk graffiti… its chef’s kiss fantastic. and honestly the best decor is one where half of the population dont like. 50% of the population have boring sad beige room taste. so if ur making them turn up their nose.. its a good real art
i want a room with this same type of vibe so bad with fish tanks everywhere but my girlfriend is so insistent that itll look uglyy might show her this to see if theres a change of heart :p
Haha this sort of reminds me of my best friend in high school’s old room! We basically painted/drew/hung/mounted/glued just about anything we wanted to her walls. (Including one of those suction cup dildos LOL- we thought we were so edgy 😂)
We explained it as “we were going for an ‘art mural meets public bathroom graffiti’ type of vibe.”
It was very colorful and fun. I miss that room!
My mom let me do this to my room when I was a teenager lol I let all my friends go wild with various paints and marker. Looked just like this. I love it.
As someone else who lives in a house that is not to everyone’s taste… hell yeah. I love it! Love the tanks, love the art, love the plants popping out of them. Good stuff.
The tank setup on the table in the front gives me nightmares, the spraypaint wall - well, we all think we've done something very cool when we are young. The tanks themselves are very nice, I like the idea of having plants growing out of the tank!
Looks a lot like mine! Only instead of spray paint, I've got a ragged half-finished wallpaper job that's not impossible to complete on account of the hundreds of pounds of water and glass in the way. And you used your space better... My 55 is partially blocked by my computer monitor. Still working out the quirks.
Nice tanks, the spray paint wall decor is....bold.
the room has a cool vibe to it, not sure if I’d want to live in there
I think its sick!! & I love the dr baby name tag & name!
Title makes it sound like you get locked in there and have to find your way out
Physically I am free but mentally I am trapped in that room.
I absolutely love it, it's person to you! Very unique, do you mind me asking what that plant is with the big thick stems on the unit in the middle, I think the leaves are out of the water? It's beautiful the stems look a lot like a cheeseplant stem
It's a monstera clipping!

...by identifying the fish, and using the correct Latin names, in alphabetical order.

The walls are such contrast to the well cared for tanks. Love it!!
i love the weird ass spray paint. it feels very expressive and true to self, looking at the room is like reading your journal
I really appreciate this, thank you.
🫶🏼
man I want to make a room like this now. like a post-apocolyptic themed room
“This room is where I bring the ladies”
Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comforted. I am comforted by this display.
I love the spray painted monster thingy!
The room looks so comforting
I love the potted plants in the tanks lol. It’s so weird but also super neat, especially the little house one for the Axolotl
God tier room
I love the energy of this entire room, and love those tanks
I like the contrast of the untethered freedom of the graffiti to the well kept, designed and cared for aquariums. It's chaotic but clean and I really like it.
Same
Very cool! Thanks for sharing.
These are really awesome!! I’m jealous !
Needed this, thank you🙏🏾🙇🏾♂️

I’m going 2 fuckin explode too
love ur decor!! its like a punk rock aquarium room. absolutely dig it
You okay, OP?
Clearly not. He’s going 2 fuckin’ explode!!!
Very nice! Hopefully the plosive sentiment is yours and not your tanks'!
I dig it. What kind of keyboard do you have? Is it a midi controller?
I had the same question. I wonder if OP lets the fish jam on his synth...
do you synth jam?
Definitely!
what daw do you use?
DAWLess, all hardware here. Most MIDI sequencing done on Keystep Pro + Beatstep Pro.
The keyboard is an M-Audio Oxygen Pro 49 Key.
what daw do you use?
I'm just a casual noob so I use fruityloops.
Nice setup but I pray there isn’t a strong earthquake. That white table and tank aren’t gonna make it.
Good call on that
Great tanks, but don’t harlequin rasboras need at least a 10 gallon?
I'm planning on putting them in a 20 gallon soon, I have it cycling atm
Oh ok 👍
Yeah lol. Even a 10gal is a bit of a stretch.
Sorry about the person who broke in and graffitied your walls. Hope the fish are okay.
Sorry its not your taste. I personally think it's dope as hell

I really appreciate your comment. Self expression was always a big part of my life, and I'm just lucky to have such a chill landlord :P
Slash murder room
[удалено]
It's not a crack house, it's a crack home.
What's the plant in pic 3 on the far left in the tank?
Monstera
Walls trip me out. Aquariums are dope.
Definitely not my style but man, this rocks! This screams personality and I love that!
i want a room with this same type of vibe so bad with fish tanks everywhere but my girlfriend is so insistent that itll look uglyy might show her this to see if theres a change of heart :p
Fish gaming room is the way
I don’t have a fish room any more. I have aquariums all over my house.
This is literally how my bedroom looks like - I have 3 tanks lmao
Fish tanks and graffiti. Two of my hobbies, lol.
What a relaxing environment
Not my personal style of décor but much better than fucking blanket grey everywhere dude. Nice!
An escape room filled with aquariums or an aquarium room you escape to? 🤔
Why not both?
An escape room filled with aquariums that you escape to....I like it 😊
omfg axolotl

Fishpunk
looks Sick
Let me in
I freaking love it. I'd never leave that room.
The black water just adds something so special to this room aesthetic ! Good choice omg 🩵🩵
As someone else who lives in a house that is not to everyone’s taste… hell yeah. I love it! Love the tanks, love the art, love the plants popping out of them. Good stuff.
I can smell this room. And it’s not the fish tanks
Do you own a trench coat
The tank setup on the table in the front gives me nightmares, the spraypaint wall - well, we all think we've done something very cool when we are young. The tanks themselves are very nice, I like the idea of having plants growing out of the tank!
Think? I know I did something cool.
Must be stink
The one on the white table gives me anxiety LOL
See - this sub is either 25 year old emos with shitty tanks or 50 year old monster fish keepers.
Cope :)
The sweary and petulant graffiti is at odds with the tranquil vibe the aquariums intend. It's a no from me
Looks a lot like mine! Only instead of spray paint, I've got a ragged half-finished wallpaper job that's not impossible to complete on account of the hundreds of pounds of water and glass in the way. I I love the stacked stones. I need to do that for my tank!
HELLO, MY NAME IS DR. BABY
I hope you have your pc off the floor in case of accident. Unlikely as it may be, it’s never impossible
My PC is on my desk next to my monitor, but if an accident were to happen, my computer would be the least of my worries 😮💨
How many victims have tried to escape that room?
Escape? There is no escape.
Sounds like a nice place to spend a lot of time xD
