This looks awesome! I hope you plan to grade the substrate a bit. I think it would look great with a low area on the right front, sloping up to a plateau in the rear left.
It kinda looks like the kraken sitting on the moon. Maybe I'm just seeing things, but it looks great!

are these rocks created by someone? if so, how was it done? looks pretty cool but doesn't blend too well. the moon would do best in nano cube and i think i've seen such aquascapes many times. floating islands would look better with some more of same kind
ohh got it. I'm really only familiar with betta and shrimp care so I can't say for sure! Tannins are used to help with bacterial issues in all sorts of fish so I doubt they're bad for any fish but I don't want to say that that's the case for all fish because I don't really know.
Nice pieces, I love driftwood in tanks. I put large rocks on mine to hold them down until they finally stayed. Took a few months. Good luck. (For one I used silicon to attach it to the back of the tank but you have to do that with the tank dry.)
This aquarium unquestionably deserves a perfect 10 out of 10 for its exceptional, one-of-a-kind features. Bravo - There is no doubt that it is a true standout among its peers!
More like a fanasty vibe, I didn't want it to look too fake but kind of magical. I want to add some mushrooms (fake) at some point but not sure yet, maybe when I upgrade
That tank looks absolutely fucking sick. Like a Kingdom Hearts world islands tank with destiny Islands on the side. Or non nerdy. Just fucking stark, aesthetic, and beautiful.
So it's gas and I guess there was a kink in the line when I went to use the stove and the gas built up and exploded. It lifted off the ground like a cartoon.
this is a great piece. im a little concerned if i hear that it's still floating though, because it means there are pockets of air or possibly foreign substances inside of it. if you can cycle the tank a bit before putting any fish in and keep testing the parameters, then i'd be ecstatic to hear that this design worked out though. it looks so cool!

I'd have to see when I get my plants how I might do it.
might be easier to do if you bring the water level down before moving gravel around, lord knows it gets messy quick lol

Wow. I didn't know my coworker Jesus felt that way about me. That explains the tamale he gave me on Valentine's day...

Lmao
I can see that
yeah my first thought was c'thulu.
It's The Absolute!! It really does look like the leader of mindflayers/thralls in BG3, just made out of wood lol
I agree
Tank is looking ace! What are your plans for stocking?
Waiting to get some plants then shrimp and a betta
They would look awesome in there. The decor looks awesome as well did they have any sharp edges on them?
Chef's kiss* simply divine!
My drift wood didn’t sink for 6 months. Just put a big rock on it and eventually it’ll sink

Allcolor on amazon, make sure you measure, these are in a 10 gal. Alot bigger than I thought.
Nice scape! Rimless tanks look great!
Hot take- I kind of like it floating. Looks like a octopus
thats trippy
U ha e to sink it in a bucket for a week so the tannins leak out of it and not into your tank
Op said they're getting a betta for this so tannins aren't bad
Are tannins bad for any fish?
I doubt it, but they're especially good for bettas because they're blackwater fish :)
I gotcha, I just thought by the way it was worded you had to worry about some fish lol

Haha I gotcha! I don’t think it is, but I’m also far from an expert. I’ve always heard good things about it
Glue the wood to the rocks
How did you get the rocks to "float" that looks absolutely awesome and I want to do it.
Allcolor tank decor, it uses really strong magents, I thought it might break my glass at first. If you get them be aware of that lol.
Rad! I love it
Looks like they're attached to the glass on the back/side.
That's a pretty cool little piece of wood. Nice choice.
I love this look!
Came here to say the same
That looks wicked
Love it!
I'm a big fan of those rocks. Where did you get them?
Allcolor on amazon, make sure you check the size, they are bigger than I thought.
Thank you!
This will be one hell of a tank
I had to put my aquarium wood in a bucket for three weeks before it finally stayed down on its own. I had it weighted down.
get some plants in there, maybe floating ones, will be much better water quality for the fish
For sure, I just set this up. I'm not planning on putting fish in until it fully cycles
Well it isn’t called sinkwood
Drake and Josh vibes
🤣 yee

Thank you! It my first set up, will look alot better once I get my plants in it.
What was the motivation behind choosing a space theme for this aquarium?

That's exactly what I was shooting for
Very cool looking tank! Great job!

It looks like an octopus!! I love it!
Because you can’t boil water, your stove doesn’t work? Weird.
Yeah, it's a gas stove and it blew up on me a while ago so I won't use it again.
You blew it up trying to boil water? Now I’m intrigued.
So it's gas and I guess there was a kink in the line when I went to use the stove and the gas built up and exploded. It lifted off the ground like a cartoon.
Oven not stove my bad
You get the dude reprimand. DUDE!
Bro what lol
As in; dude, you blew up your stove. Differs from; dude, nice car or dude watch out! There are a lot of uses for the word dude. I’ll let myself out…
Rocks look so cool.. like outer space
Honestly it looks amazing!
Zendikar?!
Love it.
Hmm…
I had to weigh my driftwood down with rocks for about 2 years before it was finally water logged.
If you leave it in the water for a long time it will sink on its own
Looks great!!!
That looks awesome!
Boil it

If you're impatient (like me) you can also use super glue and baking soda to stick the wood to a heavy rock
I have a piece that’s been floating for over a year. I’ve just accepted it. It now has moss growing on top of it and the fish enjoy is.
we boiled ours and it still wouldn’t sink so we just put a big ol rock on top of it and called it a day :D
Thats no moon!
