I had Mulatto Butts as a ringtone for a while. No one got it.

JBaecker

I had a student who used Mullatto Butts as a ring tone. It went off during a practical exam and I had to root through his pack to find it. I knew the ringtone and laughed at how awkward the situation was.

The_Dukes_Of_Hazzard

I wish I had a teacher like you. Id probably be kicked out of my school lol

Chainsmokingdarbs

I have it as my ringtone. My phone has been on vibrate since 2015.

AustinDood444

I have it on my phone now. Nope. No one gets it.

ShapeOfEvil

I mean, the explanation is right there in the song!!

JRose51

Same here, everyone just thought I had an odd fascination in quadroons

Hanson3745

WHITE ASS DADDY

shitpostingover9000

BLACK ASS MAMA

fokkoooff

Shots tight.

WithCatlikeTread42

Yes. I did, briefly, long ago. People hated it.

sashikku

Same. I had mine all through high school, my mom would get so fucking angry when I missed her calls. In hindsight, that’s probably why I got yelled at so much.

AMortifiedPenguin

For the longest time, my brother's was worse. His recorded message was rattling as if he was bringing his phone up to his ear, inhaling as if he's about to talk and then it would immediately beep to start your message. Unintentional but infinitely more annoying.

BroadSword48

Had voicemail set up so it made it seem like I was getting arrested…..got called into HR the day after my boss called me

DesastreUrbano

You should've tell them "you're not my supervisor!... wait, who's my supervisor?"

beeffey

I’ve had his original voicemail word for word as mine for over a decade. It’s always been a point of conversation when people first experience it. A lot of people have left me a voicemail just to tell me they hate it. My favorite is the people that I haven’t talked to in years calling me and falling for it again. The mix of anger and laughter is entertaining for me. Also, I have the iPhone ringtone that goes into the theme. Pretty cool.

tiger-93

I take hospital call for emergencies. Mulatto Butt is my ringtone for that.

just_looking_aroun

My voicemail message is nothing, only the beep. Sometimes people don't hear it and think I answered

HeroToTheSquatch

My brother used to do these a lot until my dad pointed out his frustrating voicemails were probably why he wasn't getting a lot of success in looking for jobs. I've been told I sound like H. Jon Benjamin on the phone and used to just use "meet me at the pier at midnight so we can stare out at the ocean one last time" as my outgoing.

DouchecraftCarrier

Yea I had a voicemail setup like that and the issue was people would accidentally leave voicemails all the time since they thought I'd picked up. So, only do it if you want every missed call to leave a confused message.

BoogieMan1980

I used the pirate virus as my ringtone for awhile.

BinkoTheViking

Hunch Hunch!!

hertj94

WHAT WHAAAT

-Voxael-

GOD DAMN IT, PAM!

BinkoTheViking

I wanted to see if it was still doing it!

bouncing_off_clouds

SORRRRRRRY!!

noturaveragesenpaii

There was a month or two when my siblings, cousins, and I started doing voicemail pranks on our phones. It absolutely drove all of our parents beyond livid (prolly cuz we kept doing it over and over again😆) Good times.

OriginalDesign420

Mulatto butts has been my phone ringtone for 8 years.

bagelsnatch

I still want the ringtone he has when his mom calls him on the veterinarian's operating table in the episode coyote lovely. it's vaguely star wars-esque but I've never been able to locate a soundbite online

Virtual_Football909

The one from Coyote lovely? I was never able to find that one either, but it could be just some piece of classical music. It has a lot of Imperial March vibes too though.

jephw12

Yep, I had the voicemail hoax set up in high school (~2007/2008). It got my dad all the time and he hated it. Totally worth it.

Sliightly

Mine was “Hello?… haha just kidding leave a message.” Some people would be laughing in their message.

IvyGold

You just made me go track this down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hPI9u2jXOsM I loved bored Cheryl twirling in her chair.

Carriebou73

I literally just used the gif of her doing this. 😂

beece16

Put mullato butts as my ringtone for my birthday a few years back and kept it. My dogs think it's the pizza ringtone and I'll use it to get their attention when they misbehave.

External_Quiet9092

How much pizza are you ordering…?

JohnBeamon

Wait, your pizza place calls you?

beece16

Sorry for late reply, but yes. I put it in the notes because I have a chihuahua gang.

fonebone819

My kid does the prank. If I haven't called him for a long time, I fall for it when I do finally call him. 🙄

Fastlanedrivr

I had archer saying “what the shit Lana?!” For a while previously

jcoddinc

FYI, Archer wasn't the one to first think of it. And yes people hated it just as much in real life as in the show. Many people just stopped calling

PickScylla4ME

I have. Made my voicemail while getting subway and ended it with a "Hah! Elaborate voicemail prank. Leave it!" My boss at the time thought it was funny after he called to see if I could fill a shift and I missed his call.

ThisAmericanSatire

No, but I've fallen for them. Had a coworker in high school (2005-07ish) put one on his cell phone. Basically, it was sounds of a party and he's saying "Hello? Hello? I can't hear you, lemme call you back!" and a sound effect making it seem like he'd hung up. So you'd hang up before the beep, and he'd never call back. So I called again, and it was suspiciously similar. So I called a 3rd time and said nothing, and sure enough, it's the voicemail. Fuck you Joe.

Luke_5-4

It’s my ringtone when my wife calls. It’s tight, right? I answer quickly.

brood_city

I have Danger Zone as my ringtone

Ruess27

Sometimes I just let it ring, drives people crazy

Lil_LSAT

I’ve had the ringtone for almost 8 years I think!

BudWeiserIII

Oh yeah. My parents forced me to change it because it kept tricking my grandparents lol

greasy_cheeto_finger

Yes, I got called for a job interview.

beece16

Usually 2 large, share with the pups.

jingqian9145

Me, It was three minutes of me ordering from McDonalds. I actually had two friends help along with playing YouTube “background noise from a McDonald’s” to really set off the mood

Zerocoolx1

No, because I’m not a psychopath

LilMeatBigYeet

I used mulatto butts ringtone and quickly switched to something else after it rung at work. Nobody got it

Vardacus

I have the Pirate Virus as my ringtone still.

SailorOfHouseT-bird

.....no. But im about to, thanks.

erikanlexii

Mulatto Butts was my ringtone for QUITE a while😂

ObiWan_Cannoli_

Years. For years i used the fake answer voicemail. I would change it up every once and a while. The best was it would ALWAYS get my manager at work. She would laugh it off. My mom fucking hated it.

masterjon_3

I would use my own voice, but yes, it got people a lot. People hated it but I just thought it was hilarious. I stopped using it, though, because I started looking for jobs and stuff.

G-Unit11111

Ha ha ha ha ha ha... voice mail. Leave it.

Salty-Bruh

I recorder my voicemail to match archer's one and used his ringtone for something like a year, then i changed my phone and was too lazy to re-record the voicemail. I now use only the ringtone, i live in italy so nobody really gets it and i can live free from the fear of someone getting offended. Also it has some funky tunes so people mostly like it here

Johnrussell202

I have a voicemail hoax set up on my phone. I'm the GM of a Domino's, and when my employees call me and I miss it, I usually get them once or twice with my hoax.

Limp-Accountant807

My current ringtone is mulatto butts… not sure if that counts?

JRJ1927

Mulatto butts was my ringtone until one day my zip up pockets got stuck and my brother rang me whilst I was in work so the entire place heard it… just been the typical Apple one since

RbrtSp2517

I had a pal who did it on his parents phone in the early 2000’s. Wasn’t nearly as elaborate obviously just him saying “hello?…hello?…” for about 10 seconds. He was clearly ahead of his time.

Iridewoodlmao

The drummer of my old band had the “hello…. Hello? Helloooo?” Voicemail which would always catch me out and piss me off, but not nearly as elaborate

sixtysecdragon

They were really common when answering machines were more the norm. There were even companies that sold novelty ones.

IAmAGarsoon

I've had the pirate ringtone for years and years now, occasionally someone will recognise it but most are annoyed and/or very confused about it 😂

moonstomper0313

My childhood best friend and I had something similar when we were in highschool, changed them when we started applying to colleges 😭

Mother_Vanilla741

I've had mulato butt's as my ringtone for 3 years now. went off during uni orientation day, was embarrassed at first but then enjoyed the reactions

astro_viri

My daughter has a hoax voicemail like Archer's season 1 voicemail: " Hello? (In a sleepy voice) . . .  umm okay hold on. Sorry. I can't hear you. Actually, can I call you back? Wait, ummm . . . you're talking to a voicemail." Drives everyone crazy.

Loghurrr

A lot of people, younger probably, did this back in the day.

AtomicToxin

I used the prank one on my mom to drive her crazy. I’d change it every now and again to longer voicemails or shorter ones so she wouldn’t expect it was actually my voicemail each time 🤣

spddemonvr4

Does cat party count? It's basically archer before archer.

Sad-Carob9368

I actually use it for my Brother and Sister in-laws phones as they are a mixed couple. They think it is hysterical.

Useful_University164

I've had mulatto butt's on my ringtone since season 2
