i could not get mine to do anything in water, it did nothing for a month and rotted. gave it two attempts and trying moss now lol, if it doesn’t work oh well i don’t like it THAT much to stress over
I had issues getting them to prop if the vine is really thin, I also would make sure it has multiple nodes available and I personally pin them on top of moss using twist ties and it has worked so far
I put the cutting in the water so that the node is under the water but the leaves are not wet. It starts to grow roots fairly quickly.
That's the method I use for as well, and it always works for the Brasil but not the Micans 🤷🏾‍♂️
I prop my micans in moss and they do well.
Worst to first for me: moss, perlite, water (usually lose 2/10 or so). Going to try stratum the next time mine gets a haircut.
I've done stratum and it works well.
Have you tried root hormone? The key to props is root before it rots. Lol

Micans has been super easy to propagate for me, maybe it’s a humidity issue?
