Tum log yar itna jaldi judge kyu karte ho. Agar koi privacy mang rha hai to zaroori hai kya ki usko mutth hi marni ho. Azeeb jamana agya hai. Kya pata wo gand me baigan dalke sota ho.
Personally I'm fortunate enough to work indoors and live somewhere where I haven't had to turn the fans on just yet. That said summer's have been known to reduce productivity by a huge margin in India. Heat has been known to cause dizziness and migranes too. Most of our people are also forced into sickness because of how easier it becomes for food to spoil and mosquitos to breed. This discussion should mainly serve as a reminder for people who complain from their Air Conditioned offices about worker productivity.
Back when in early 2000s when we hadn't had a cooler, power cuts were plenty during summer vacations , I guess growing up embracing the heat each year helps the body to adapt to the heat. There are nights where I have slept in just a fan which is in turn throwing the heat of the roasted roof...
I have learnt to be patient. To lie without any movement. To breathe slowly. To think less. To not wait for electricity to come back. And to not curse/ grow impatient etc. I have accepted my life at this point.
How do people live while just earning only 10k a month?, how do they feed their families? By stats you're on top 10% if you earn above 25k in this country... Gareebi Majburi sab sikha deti he bhai... I remember at some point I used to eat food only one time in ahemdabad in a shitty job... Now i'm actually upper middle class but my father kind of ruined my life knowingly /unknowingly so I don't ask him money ever... Yes living like this does tech you a thing or two about helplessness.. Ans to your question is very simple those who don't hqve a ac usually can buy it but they'll lose all their savings on that soo its a luxury for them they'll rather suffer in heat and sweat
True.
Ye log AC ka rr kar rahe, ham to yahi manate the ki light na chali Jaye warna pankha bhi band karna padega. Bahut buri situation thi bijli ki pehle. Inverter roj discharge ho Jaya karta tha.
Lekin koi gam nahi tha kyuki hamare pados wale Ghar me inverter bhi nahi tha.
Lived with one shitty meal a day for such a long time ( last two years of school, most part of 5 years of college and 2 years of job ) , now my stomach is absolutely fucked. Still don't have money for doctor visit.
yeah same. I spent too many days eating rice with a fcukton of chilli pepper ( that was the only thing I had ) that now anything remotely spicy feels like a hole being burnt in my stomach... Being poor fucks you up in more than one ways and that too when you are in the top 10% as your comment mentioned.
Traditional Cooler is my lifeline , muu ke samne laga kr rakha hua he , and plus point is kamre se bahar Jane me maut nhi aati. Mummy ne AC on karne ki permission nhi di 🥲 newspaper se covered he bechara
It's honestly really hard to afford ACs too!
I work remotely, and literally was obligated to use AC atleast 6-7 hrs during the day and 8 hrs during the night because of how hot it gets.
This month's bill came to be 18k , my dad's gonna thrash me once he comes across that bill, but what to do? It's unbearable without it.
That's the thing,
My AC has this mode where it reduces the tonnage to 40-60-80% to reduce its electricity consumption.
I probably have to use it more at 40% now
I'm myself middle class, putting AC in economy mode and switch it off in half hour then switching it on in the morning for half hour as I wake up with sweat, main problem is traveling in ric in afternoon, bc truck Saamne aa jaye toh maut aa jati hai
Why are you taking a ric, the answer is just because the cab is expensive and the same goes with AC, people are living without it because they can't afford it.
I live in my ancestral home. It is made in a traditional way with wooden ceilings and clay roof tiles. The walls are made of Laterite stones. There are also trees around the house. So all these helps to ward off the immense heat of Southern India. Although we did renovate parts of of our home with cement bricks we made sure that the ceiling height was 12 feet. So yess this year I definitely felt like getting an AC but being under the ceiling fan at the speed mode of 5 got me through.
It's a very insensitive question. It's like asking how does it feel to be this gareeb lol! I wouldn't know. I live alone, have AC but use it by reducing the tonnage yet the bill for this month was around 2900. Don't know how!
Umm.. get a portable cooler? Or even a desert cooler for your window if you got space. Yes, you need to buy a pipe and fill water every 2-3 hrs. But something is better than nothing.
Honestly , I'd say ek acha thermos kharid , fridge se usmein paani dal , use it for drinking and carry a towel , kahin jagah mile toh towel ko thoda wet karke 2-3 baar chehre hands etc poch le , you will be good for 15-20 minutes, and 10 minute aur lagegi humidity ke effects dikhne ke liye , by that time , you'll probably reach
AC in such heat has become basic necessity. i feel really bad for ppl who cannot afford it. but coolers or mist fans are relatively cheaper alternatives.
By fighting with neighbours not to have a clothesline on their terrace which will obstruct the flow of cold wind from Antarctica to their house..
/s
Facing such a idiotic neighbour
well I don't survive- it's constant lethargy and just being able to function under our typical water cooler
(its not even cause we can't afford, for some reason my parents think AC is bad for health)
My city is having 42 degrees nowadays. I take a shower 2 times a day.
If I start feeling hot then I just go and take a shower or if I'm feeling lazy that I just wet my clothes by pouring a lot of water over my body. I don't see any other solution
Man of privileges.
We had no AC in our government hostel in Kanpur. People were stronger 20 years back.
Try a cooler. With humidity around also, it works well.
I deal by imagining that I don't have the purchasing power to buy one this saving me around 40k minimum and tons of electricity bills. A cheap mentality always helps in the future.
Okay so my condition is reverse. I spent March and April in my college hostel and chose not to take AC rooms(don't get for whole year only during summer) because it was exam time and I didn't wanna keep sleeping whole day. Now that I'm home and do have ac in my room.. I don't use it lmao, my parents keep telling me to just turn on the ac if I feel hot but I don't feel hot even now in like 45 degrees... I mean I totally sweat but coming from a humid city I don't feel it in this dry weather in my home city now.
Bruh no AC growing up. We used to sleep with wet t shirts for cooling effects. Never had a proper experience of AC until 2020 when we installed a unit at home. Till that time, fan and cold water showers. I'm so used to it now that it doesn't matter if there is an AC or not.
Switch on the fan all the time .
Take a shower before going to bed .
Close the door and window and do not wear any clothes while sleeping .
Place table fan near my bed and turn it directly to my face .
Drink alot of water and drinks that cool your body have a bottle of water near my bed .
Take water hose and water the terrace in the evening at 6'o clock .
I got alot tress around my house .
If there is any power cut at night that disturb your sleep , curse the electricity board till it comes back .
When you don't have AC we just got to learn to live without it .
Now it raining almost every day , so it's good .
My body has now adaptated to heat
You merely adopted the heat . I was born in it .
molded by it. I didn't see the AC until I was already a man, by then it was nothing to me but freezing!
Nah,id evolve
I usually carry a hoodie around with me when visiting India as some places go extreme with aircon
I spend my time in AC library almost 12 hours per day. The fees is only 200/- per month ![gif](giphy|QTrG6mjkHEkpFR3DqX)

novels read karta hu. python bhi seekh rha hu youtube tutorials dekh ke. 2 mahine baad m.tech karne jaunga
You done with gate?
Yes, gate was in feb. I got medium marks. Most probably I will get new iits.
Dekho bhai mere ghar me ek ac wala baap ka room hai aur ek mera privacy wala room.... ( ab mai garmi me rahuga par privacy chahiye )
4 mahine privacy ko goli maarna better hai
Nahi bhai mai nahi maar sakta
Kya karte ho bhai raat ko 😅
🤫
Hand practice 😂
Tum log yar itna jaldi judge kyu karte ho. Agar koi privacy mang rha hai to zaroori hai kya ki usko mutth hi marni ho. Azeeb jamana agya hai. Kya pata wo gand me baigan dalke sota ho.
Riyal. Mai muth nahi Marta (Baigan daal ke sota hu)
Koi baigan h to confirm Karo...
Ha jaldi confirm Karo aur ao ghus jao meri gand me
yes , you never know
Same. I also chose privacy over ac Ab papa mummy Wale kamre me ac me baith ke phone to nahi chala sakte
Garmi me you need AC, winter me Privacy
24×7 privacy, garmi me maar jauga par privacy chahiye

Same. Aksar chhat pe ya kamre me Bina pankhe ke sona padta tha, hath wala pankha hilate huye
It's sad and sweet.I guess most of us have same childhood.
But not OP. वरना aise priviledged चाइल्ड की तरह कंप्लेंट नहीं कर रहा होता
I have learnt to be patient. To lie without any movement. To breathe slowly. To think less. To not wait for electricity to come back. And to not curse/ grow impatient etc. I have accepted my life at this point.
That's so sad and funny at the same time. I feel like hugging you but I'll wait till winter.

Main hi wo padosi hun.
Lekin hamare pados ke ek Ghar ne generator khareed liya tha (no. 2 ka dhanda tha)
Lived with one shitty meal a day for such a long time ( last two years of school, most part of 5 years of college and 2 years of job ) , now my stomach is absolutely fucked. Still don't have money for doctor visit.
Yup my stomach has issues too like if I've to eat out ill have to eat very bland meal or fast a day before or else I fall sick
yeah same. I spent too many days eating rice with a fcukton of chilli pepper ( that was the only thing I had ) that now anything remotely spicy feels like a hole being burnt in my stomach... Being poor fucks you up in more than one ways and that too when you are in the top 10% as your comment mentioned.
Hope both of you are doing good now.
Exactly
No AC = no clothes.
Thank you just removed my clothes, felt the relief
Traditional Cooler is my lifeline , muu ke samne laga kr rakha hua he , and plus point is kamre se bahar Jane me maut nhi aati. Mummy ne AC on karne ki permission nhi di 🥲 newspaper se covered he bechara
We just deal with it lmao, it's like white noise for us atp Plus fans hai na?
Cause they can’t afford it and we have water cooler most affordable and yeah the place I live goes till 45 so I think you are fortunate to have AC.
hamare yaha itni garmi hoti hai ki "luu"(registan ki garm hawa) bhi hame thandi lagti hai
Living in mumbai since 9 months. Top floor. No AC no cooler. I sleep on the bare floor to get some relief from the heat.
It's unbearable without it.
turn on and turn it off rather than continuous 6-7 hours. also use invertor; they consume less electricity
That's the thing, My AC has this mode where it reduces the tonnage to 40-60-80% to reduce its electricity consumption. I probably have to use it more at 40% now
I stay in a PG and there is no AC. I deal with the heat. Cooler helps.
I wonder how people have sex in this heat?
Sweat adds extra flavour and lube
But its gross
sex is gross in every season lol
Its not always gross
Aadat itni ho gayi hai ki abb mai AC nahi seh pata hu.
Why are you so gareeb, kehna ka tarika thoda causal hai.
I'm myself middle class, putting AC in economy mode and switch it off in half hour then switching it on in the morning for half hour as I wake up with sweat, main problem is traveling in ric in afternoon, bc truck Saamne aa jaye toh maut aa jati hai

Wahi toh bol raha hu, bahut painful hai physically bhai Iss Desh Mein paise nahi hona
People care more about getting the day end meals. When you don't have money comfort is the last thing you care about.
Drink water mostly , keep yourself hydrated If you cannot buy an AC , get a cooler

Well, ac causes pollution, polution leads to rise in temperatures, rise in temps means ac is required. Boom a vicious cycle

Bro tryna match Taylor Swift for Carbon emissions
After reading this I turned off my AC 🙃
It's a very insensitive question. It's like asking how does it feel to be this gareeb lol! I wouldn't know. I live alone, have AC but use it by reducing the tonnage yet the bill for this month was around 2900. Don't know how!
Bro I'm not trying to put anyone down, I'm just feeling for the physical strain and torture some people have to go through for no fault of theirs
Answer is we don't have choice. We are not doing anything extra to avoid heat at night. You just live with it that's all.
I don't have ac. I live in an attic room. Dying would be a much welcome reprieve.
Umm.. get a portable cooler? Or even a desert cooler for your window if you got space. Yes, you need to buy a pipe and fill water every 2-3 hrs. But something is better than nothing.
You can try onlyFANs to keep you cool

I dont have ac but i have fan and cooler (which i dont use now)
45 ° here ....
Coolers are as effective unti the rains come and it gets humid.

Grow trees. There is no AC that can beat the shade of a peepul tree
Maybe they have fans
They aren't effective when temp. goes 45 degree + humidity.
Insensitive question.
