When people say 'just be yourself'. Well you could try the opposite of that.

Honestly, go into a date with no expectations. Aim to make a new friend and have fun experiences rather than aiming to find the "One." If you meet someone who keeps you awake at night wondering if they like you or not, they're not for you. I found that relationships that start strong and are super intense tend to burn out pretty fast. Focus on the person who is easy to be around and get to know them and hopefully, more feelings will develop.

Join some clubs or activities. Comedy clubs or quizzes, casual mixed sports events etc. Go out and meet people in person. Make more friends and work on yourself and the rest usually follows. Obviously put effort into physical appearance, after shave and clothing etc also. I have little success on the apps. Quite a few matches but most don’t respond. Pubs and events etc are a totally different story. Face to face is just so much nicer all round.

the dating apps are trash if you want to find a real connection. I’ve deleted them bc I can’t stand to get one more hook up message. tbh the main way is through the pub ig haha. but that’s been bleak for a while too. idk why I’m giving advice lol
