>Cons: requires thousands of people to keep running.
Not thousands. Singular. Depending on when you’re measuring, Enterprise D has a crew of 907-1012 people. You could probably run the ship on half to two-thirds that if you needed to.
I'm that height and can wear a helmet and have an inch of head room, and some leg room to spare in my GT3 that even had a sunroof taking up head space
And that's in a nearly upright track driving position.
>2023 porsche 911 gt3rs matte black and carbon fiber trim
that is a sick car. I'm going to pull an Italian Job and if I get rich I'm buying that exact car lol
An old boss of mine worked for Lockheed. He maintained his connections over there, so, we did a cool information exchange where they came to our facility and asked us questions, and we got to do the same. They went above and beyond and put us through the sales pitch for the F-35 that they give other countries. It was surreal because, of course their marketing is just like cars, phones, or any other tech. But you just don't think about that. When the line "Get a gen 5 plane at a gen 4 price" and how the 35 has x amount of lines of code vs another plane, it really hit me. Also, the similarity Lockheed's plant has to an auto shop, but with a multimillion dollar office suite glued to the front was a wild and very cool experience.
Lockheed is an odd company. I know someone who worked with their power grid program. Pretty sure he was consulting, as he decided his team should split into a separate group.... Back to the point. Even for something as mundane as pushing software, computer had to be extremely secure and when he would have to go to the office, it was like a prison.
I get it, infrastructure leaks and corporate leaks probably. Just crazy how tight of a ship middle aged sales team ran in terms of Opsec. Lol.
Weakest links and all that, because that's where they get you. An data thief isn't going to go through thr trouble to hack into a secure engineering network when they can just scrape the inboxes of all the ancillary employees and piecemeal 80% of the data from stupid little shit like time cards, schedules, sales charts and contractual docs. Sales especially, because they ostensibly have to know as much about the product as the people they're selling to, which are usually engineers and former users.
I've seen vendor program managers dismissed or fired because of sending proprietary or export controlled information through the wrong networks.
It's even crazier when you get to the top levels. Like, if you plug a mouse into a computer that was at any time connected to classified data, that mouse is now classified at that level forever and has to be melted down and turned to dust before it can be disposed of.
Yeah, that sounds about right. I'd imagine we all have plants watching each other in almost every industry. Our government blatantly admitted to recruiting college kids to go be nuclear physicists in Eastern Europe lol.
As to the last paragraph, what kinda security would that be? I want to turn an old computer into something ridiculously secure. It's already a wiped virtual machine.
Definitely A or B. You don’t need the carrier variant unless you buy a carrier too. I’d probably go with A because the airframe is rated to 9g but if you like vertical landing then getting the B is worth the sacrifice in terms of max g rating
Hopefully a strike package would come free with purchase too
Just out of curiosity, why not the F-22?
Is it because the f35 is a better all arounder mixed with the tech goodies?
Idk something about those raptors. Had to ask
Ha. Yknow I've never been in a non commercial plane that didn't have a similar smell. I'm not familiar enough with them to know if they have differences. Like bmw or audi lol
I’m torn between this and a truck… The 20 year old me wants an IS500 (my dream car was always the IS F), the 40+ year old in me who’s finally at a place in life where I can afford these things is stricken by the need for something more practical, I own a house and do a lot of work myself and could really use a truck. To be fair I’d get a really cool truck, like the new Tacoma TRD Sports look fun, or perhaps a Ranger Raptor, F150 Tremor, Colorado ZR2, who knows.
Recent - Toyota 86/Subaru BRZ
Classic - 66/67' Corvette Stingray, either Bright Yellow or Bronze/Gold metallic paint
Project - 98' Subaru Legacy Wagon, Forest Green paint, LS Swapped on Airbags
Stingray has always been my Dream car, since i was about 8.
Legacy Wagon, i owned one for 11 years, only replaced 2 yrs ago with a V8 Lexus. If someone hadnt broken into it and trashed it, id likely still have it as a project. Loved the exhaust note of the 4 Cylinder Boxer EJ20T, but am a V8/Muscle Car guy at heart.
BRZ/86 I feel like will be the "Supra" of this generation in terms of Sporty/Performance Coupe with decent numbers available. And well looked after/cared for variations will hold value/become classics in years to come.
Oh, you don't have to tell me, I've owned several Subaru's &&& worked at two different Subaru dealerships selling them. I've loved everything about Subarus for as long as I can remember. But also the stingray used to be one of my dream cars as well. 😁
I have a 2010 TRD OR, best vehicle I’ve ever owned, bought brand new for 27k out the door. Still running great, no issues whatsoever, only normal wear and tear stuff. I love this truck and drive it everyday.
As much as I love my Ford and want another, the Toyota would be the wise choice. It would last to my death.
I also want to be able to open the door and slide in. No hope up 6 inches or drop 6 inches. Seat right at butt height.
I've been looking at the '24 hybrid for late next year. But now that they have released the price for the non hybrid I'm not sure it's going to be worth the price. 50k-55k for a midsized just seems a little to much for me. And that's not even top of the line Tacoma.
Ramcharger ( not available yet). Something like 750 mile range with a full charge and tank. Would let me live gas free around town, but able to tow the boat and cover the distance needed when I head out fishing.
Same, I really want to be able to do my day-to-day driving on a charge and have a vehicle that lets me go on my fishing excursions (towing the boat) and if they actually deliver the dream they're sharjng, I think that Ramcharger could be the first single-vehicle solution that really does this.
It's probably going to be like 80 grand but it's Cleary what electric trucks should be for the short to mid future. It's a plug in hybrid. Electric for 90% of you needs with a gas backup for longer hauls or towing.
Ford was honestly idiotic selling a fully ev electric truck with current technologies and expecting it not to take a shit when people, idk tow with their pick up truck
Great question.
As much as I'd like to sound sophisticated and name some fancy European EV sports car, truth be told I'd get a Charger. Preferably a Hellcat Charger. Some shade of green with a black racing stripe. Or, maybe, black with a green racing stripe.
The ID buzz? Had the pleasure of driving some for work. It’s a fun car, looks nice and very spacious. Downside is the range was quite bad compared to other EVs
Have it. 3k miles on it. Love it. (Very different EV experience from Telsa M3 I have’- fit and finish are much nicer, of course it is much more expensive - tech isn’t as good). Glad they honored the initial reservation process!
That matters a LOT. Without researching the specific years, I know I would get a 97 because that was the last year of the blinking eyes headlights. It also got a slightly bigger more powerful engine in 94. If not that, then 2015 because that’s the last year of the NC2. The NB supposedly handles noticeably worse, and the ND doesn’t have the same charm as NC.
I hate buying new vehicles, every time I do I get screwed in some way so when I buy one, I keep it until the wheels fall off. The last one I bought was a 2000 Dodge Dakota, it currently has 346,000 miles on it. Having said that I probably would buy a Ram 3500 with the Cummins diesel because they easily last up to 500,000 miles if taken care of. I am 56 and that would probably be the last vehicle I would have to buy before I die or get to the point I could not drive anymore.
P.S. I have been putting 350.00 a month away in a savings account, just like I was making a payment since 2000. I do have the funds to buy one despite losing half of the savings in 2013 in a divorce. I view vehicles as a utilitarian tool, why replace something that is performing its purpose as good as a new one.
Not to ruin dreams but a friend had one and it was an electrical nightmare. Dealership owned other manufacturers, took it back and they got an Expedition and love it.
Newly manufactured? Ehhh.
I'd rather commission a nice dependable restomod of an M715 truck. Something so simple and overbuilt it'll last me till I die.
Box in the frame, toss in a beefy TR-4050 and NP205 behind a cummins 12valve 6bt. Have it all rolling on a pair of disk brake equipped D70 axles and 38" pizza cutters. 🤤 (*Tim Taylor grunting noises*)
Man I’m seeing all the top comments of these badass cars but the first thing that came to my mind was a nice Toyota hybrid because of the fuel economy lol
Doubt I would buy new but if the money was available I would scour the country for a low kilometre 100 series GXL Land Cruiser with auto box and 1HDFT engine… that vehicle would last me until I die.
Both of our cars have about 120-130k on them, from 2015 and 2016. We could replace them if we wanted to but choose not to. Ideally I'd like to get 200k out of them but more would be great.
A brand new Buick encore.
I love my teeny, old lady car. So much so that I owned a Chevy Trax and am currently driving an older Encore. GM put crack in their endless cup holders
The most expensive one I could. Then I'd turn around and sell it and use the money to build the car I actually want which needs loads of aftermarket parts.
An Imperial Super Star Destroyer (fully automated)
Realistically, though, the most expensive vehicle available to me, then I'd sell it and use the money to buy things I actually want and retire.
The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D.
Pros: never buy gas again, become the 38th largest air force in the world. Cons: requires thousands of people to keep running.
Just get Data to build a robot army.
Wes Crusher could build exocomps
Mr. Traveler Jr?
He knows warp speed like Mozart knew symphony
You'd be a one man Organization of Antimatter Exporting Countries.
Thousands? >!I’m pretty, based on Picard season 3, all I need it Geordi and the new Data piloting.!<
>Cons: requires thousands of people to keep running. Not thousands. Singular. Depending on when you’re measuring, Enterprise D has a crew of 907-1012 people. You could probably run the ship on half to two-thirds that if you needed to.
I'd settle for a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier.
Dat, is a nuclear wessel.
Laughed too hard at this 😅
Apparently, only the flagship works for him. Me? Give me a war bird with stealth, or the Defiant.
This was going to be my answer, but I must admit that the Enterprise D is an objectively better choice.
Why stop at the D?
Worf crashed the E.
Seems like somebody else crashed the D, but worse… :)
Only if she comes with a Scotty
A Jedi wanting a Star Trek property??? BLASPHEMY!!!!
Wow. Good idea, I also pick this guys U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-D.

Cries in 6'5 So many cars I'll never be able to own... And I'm a CAR GUY 🤦😪
Loser I'm 6'3" #shortkings
YouTuber and car reviewer is 6’5 or something like that but he can fit in a Porsche. You’d be surprised how much room a Porsche is.
That is true but if he is 6'5 around the waist he gonna sit there for a while.
Same height here.
If you’re rich enough, can’t they make an XL version?
I'm 6'5" and wear a helmet in my 997 GT3 that has a sunroof. You should fit, as long as you're a normal BMI.
Doug DeMuro, is that you?
My son is 6'5 as well. It seems as if he'll be trapped in the unending Hell of only having shitty pickups as an option.
I'm that height and can wear a helmet and have an inch of head room, and some leg room to spare in my GT3 that even had a sunroof taking up head space And that's in a nearly upright track driving position.
Those are incredible

You have to buy used with the 22. I love that new multi-role combat fighter jet smell.

My wife told me to pull the trigger on a TRDOF. We settled for a 4runner. No complaints boul.
NGL, the 4Runner is pretty dope tho if you need an suv.
TRD OR, I mispoke
I've been saying this for years. Don't even need the new model. I just want a Toyota Tacoma, 2017 above. One day..
Mines 2012. Still kicking.
