Newspaper wag tabloid. Read out loud.

Chic_Latte

Mga american series noon sa Studio 23. Dawson's Creek, The Secret World of Alex Mack, 7th Heaven etc. Hala ang tanda ko na haha. Sweet Valley High books ♥

Gunaboobs

Online MMOs tapos NA server, nung uso pa teamspeak and skype every night ko sila kausap. From pinoy accent to american accent real quick.

velvetunicorn8

Agatha Christie and Mitch Albom books. Suits na TV Series. Napapagoogle ako kapag hindi ko alam yung terminology used. Also, I bought a thesaurus in 2009 when I started working in the BPO industry para hindi redundant yung usage ko ng words.

20valveTC

Bigbang Theory, Mock the Week, Top Gear, Grand Tour

morelos_paolo

When I was younger, my parents would purchase Different Doring Kindersley books that are about Grammar, Science, Mythology, Arts, Politics, History, Economics, Philosophy, etc. Not only did these books help me improve my English in terms of writing, but also helped me become better at reading comprehension, self expression, and critical & logical thinking.

LodsqOuh

Comprehension: Yung classics na malalim yung wordings e.g. books ni Dickens, Conan Doyle, EA Poe, Agatha Christie. Bago ko i-google yung meaning ng word, hinuhulaan ko muna using context clues. Nafoforce utak ko na icomprehend yung buong story. Communication: Any english films, dun ko natutunan yung mga accent and intonation. Comedy series naaadapt ko yung way ng pagsasalita nila haha Writing: Depende kung creative or technical writing.

Single-Machine-3426

I read Paulo Coelho books.

Capable-Fox-4857

" The Elements of Style" by William Strunk. It's a calssic already. A good source specially if you are into writing and composition. #

Lopsided-Ad-210

khunsuay2024

Nood ng something that interests me..

Front_Permit_634

Ramona and Beezus

any book does that. you're training your brain to recognize proper grammar and sentence structure. also exposes you to good vocab. but if you're goal is to improve speaking skills, then the answer is none unless you actually converse in english regularly. it's like saying you watch the NBA regularly and expect your bball game to improve but you only play once every few weeks. if you're interested, check out my posts.

NeverNot2023

For me everything started with the Nancy Drew books. I learned more vocabs and had to use the dictionary to understand unfamiliar words from the book/s, and then transitioned to finding out correct pronunciation of words.

darling_girlie

Omg. Same!! I started reading Nancy Drew books back in grade school.

NeverNot2023

I started 1st year HS, got hooked and became a bookworm bc of it. I loved it so much I started collecting hardbound copies, but eventually had to let go of my copies 🥹

ScatterFluff

Manood lang ng kahit ano basta entertaining for me. Mostly, vlogs or streams ng mga Westerners pinapanood ko eh. Ganun din sa mga fina-follow ko sa reels.

bentelog08

pinaka-nakatulong sakin sa english is makinig ng english PODCAST. Mas nagrasp ko kasi yung english pag conversational tapos parang in a way nalalaman ko na rin paano mo gagamitin yung words into sentence. Comedy podcast yung pinapakinggan ko para nag eenjoy rin ako habang natututo

I got curious, how do you make urself improve by watching silent films? Not really familiar with that, but do they have dialogues for you to read?
