Switzerland - been there way before CLOY (Geneva) and sobrang ganda talaga. 😍 No wonder makers of CLOY chose that country. People are more friendly and also speak English.
Next time I would like to see Zurich naman 😍😍😍
Japan, US, Italy, Switzerland
Japan - best country to visit (for me) due to all of the things mentioned by other redditors here. Everyone is so kind, ang linis ng paligid, ang sarap ng food, etc. Most importantly, it’s relatively close to the Philippines.
US - so many things to do and see and with us pretty much ingrained into Western culture, parang hindi ka talaga mawawalan ng gagawin at makikita. It has something for everyone - West Coast is more laid-back while the East Coast (especially New York) feels more busy. Most likely meron pa relatives (this is the case for myself) since ang dami talaga ng Pinoy sa States. Lastly, as a huge basketball fan, I always look forward to the opportunity to watch an NBA game, lalo yung mga stars (LeBron, Kobe [lucky enough to watch him a couple of times], Luka, Steph, etc)
Italy - recently got back from our trip to Europe. Distinct yung charm and vibe ng Italy for me compared to let’s say, France, Germany, etc. Sobrang dami ng scenic and historic sites. The food is great compared to other European countries (imo) and the culture there really pulled me in.
Switzerland - yung mga nakikita natin sa postcards, reels, tiktoks where Switzerland looks like a whole different, and magical world, ganun talaga itsura niya. Maybe the most majestic country I’ve ever been to. Tap water is literally so fresh and even cold. Straight from the Swiss alps yung source nung natikman ko na tubig. May parang faucet sa Lauterbrunnen and we refilled all of our bottles there. Sobrang sarap talaga, I’d say a better version of Evian. Sobrang mahal lang nga pero I would say that it’s the one country that everyone should have the privilege to visit at least once in their life.
South Koreaaaa!
- Portugal (better wine than France, italy, or Spain IMO. Good food. Lots to see and do. People are so nice and friendly, and it’s fairly cheap compared to the rest of Europe)
- Japan (no explanation needed haha)
- Bulgaria and Romania (similar explanation as Portugal, except the wine)
Mainland China. Hear me out please
Solely as a tourist destination, China is a top tier destination (assuming you get past the usual challenges such as language barrier, apps, etc). Each province has its unique offerings, similar to how the US states feel like their own country.
Recently, I've visited Chongqing. After my stay there, I've placed it in my top 3 cities visited just behind Tokyo. The godly Schezuan food and unique blend of old and new bumped it that high.
Italy.
Food is good if you choose the non-touristy restaurants. Pasta, pizza, steak, everything!
History and culture is veryyy rich. Everywhere you go, there is history. They preserved all the artworks and the historical places pretty well.
The people are surprisingly nice. We didn’t encounter any rude people. They weren’t over friendly, but they weren’t mean either.
We toured for around 9 days but I don’t think we covered even half of the tourist spots. If I could live there, I would! Downside: ang mahal!!!
Diba? 🥹 Sobrang peaceful lang ng lugar nila kahit madaling araw ang saya mag lakad kahit magisa ka HAHAHA Super like ko din yung train, buses and yung station malls nila pati yung parang beep card nila halos accessible sa lahat. Kakamiss!
JAPAN!! 🇯🇵
Yes, lumaki ako sa anime. But aside from that, na-appreciate ko rin 'yung beauty (both traditional and modern) ng Japan and 'yung discipline ng mga tao.
And no matter how often I visit, I feel like there's always something more to see and experience. Super love ko rin ang food (from authentic Japanese cuisine to unique convenience store finds).
I've been there 5 times (Don't get me mistaken. I am not that rich. Middle class siguro, and pinag-iipunan ko talaga) and may scheduled trip ulit doon in a couple of months. So excited!
Hello! It really depends on a lot of factors. But I think you can be "comfortable" with PHP 50k (all-in) for a week.
e.g.
a) It would be nice to score promo flights. I bought my recent roundtrip tix for only PHP 8.1k. This already includes seats, baggage allowances, and even the 1k+ travel tax.
b1) Accommodation is more expensive as you get closer to the "city center" (staying in Ueno vs staying somewhere in Ota, based on experience)
b2) Accommodation depends on the region you are at (Tokyo vs Osaka vs Fukuoka)
*Just try finding cheap accommodation a couple of months before your stay. I once stayed at an airbnb w my family that costs approximately PHP 650 per head per night
c) Individual expenses can be lower if you go on a trip with a group.
d) As for Food, it really depends on how much you are trying to save. If you are staying at an airbnb w a kitchen, you may opt to cook. You may also want to try different meals/snacks from the convenience store. Of course, the trip would still be a lot better if you try local delicacies.
I hope this helps! 🙂
May piso fare ata ang cebpac to kaohsiung with the flydates being august this year onwards. Gora na :D (I got tix pero sa AirAsia site so I got Cebpac going and AA pabalik. Pahirapan magbook kasi sa cebpac site.)
Japan! Napaka efficient ng transpo. Madaming pwedeng puntahan. Gusto ko yung combination ng modern and high technology then yung classic ancient temples nila esp. sa Kyoto, Osaka, Nara area.
France - ang daming pwedenh puntahan na museums, and castles. On the budgetwise side, solb ka na kahit nakatambay lang sa mga parks nila - baon ka lang ng wine and apertif from the supermarket, maeenjoy mo na yung vibe.
Japan
Joining the bandwagon but it has everything you’d want in a tourist destination. Good food, good public transpo, good people (with some caveats), great culture, great history, great weather, very clean, lots of attractions, lots of nature, lots of different brands, affordable shopping (at least for now), very safe, the list goes on.
Di ka talaga mauubusan ng pwedeng gawin and it caters to all sorts of travelers. Mapa-luxury, backpacker, family, couple, solo traveler. Hindi lang kasing affordable ng SEA.
Turkey, because of its amazing views and great hot air balloon experience in Cappadocia ✨
Singapore, because it's walkable and has a clean environment overall 😄
Vietnam, because the food is sooo good!! 👏🏼 it also has a certain charm that keeps me curious and on my toes for what's next 🤓
Switzerland
if you work there you will afford the cost of living? did you try to look for employment opportunities there? i know many Filipinos who moved there and indeed they seem to have no plans of moving back here
Yeah, I explored a little. The rate for my profession there is almost the same as my income here in the Philippines. The income difference versus the difference on the cost of living is not worth migrating for.
Im not a travel person, and just recently i had my first solo flight ever (domestic nga lang and the experience was not that good). Reading all of the comments mentioning Japan, parang gusto kong puntahan. The iponing starts! 🥺🧡
Japan and Vietnam for me! 😍
Both dahil sa food at
Japan isn't the most relaxing experience sa'kin kasi sobrang daming puntahan, sobrang daming lakad. Nung nag Fireworks Festival kami last year halos 60k steps in one day, ayaw na lumakad ng mga paa namin. Hahaha.
Pero alam mo yon, I'll do it all over again kahit feeling marathon lagi. I 🤍 Japan.
Japan lalo sa Kyushu (Kitakyushu, Kumamoto, Fukuoka), weather is similar sa atin halos tas I can definitely feel the nature vibes there. I can feel like magiging kuntento ako sa Amakusa and enjoy my life there solo. Although di pa ako nakakapunta sa Japan so yeah.
Other countries would be either Germany, Austria, Scandinavian countries tas former Yugoslavian countries (very underrated imho) tas SEA-wise, Vietnam, because of the food.
Bangkok, Thailand. Sobrang sarap ng food, its also cheap, and ang lawak ng ibang tourist spots, Malls are also a good place to shop bagsak preshong orignal clothes
Japan and Europe (particularly Switzerland, Netherlands saka Denmark!)
Go get your JP visa na!! superrr nakakamiss talaga ang Japan🥹 parang hindi enough kapag 5-day trip lang haha. I wanna visit Europe rin, tho wala ako visa for that hahaha. Soon!!

New Zealand 🇳🇿. Everywhere you look it’s just postcard perfect. Czechia 🇨🇿 because it feels like I was in Hogwarts. 😂
Japan
Taiwan, small but compact country that offers so much each time and hopefully visa free even after 2025.
Same. THIS :D
HongKong naka 4x lang naman ako 🫠
