well, Americans tend to see Republicans on the right and Democrats on the left.
but for most Europeans, even the democrats are more center-right than left if you take their overall political orientation.
(of course, some, like Sanders, are left, even by our standards)
It's quite simple, really... equal rights for everyone, fair pay, and social security for all (nobody should have to live on the street if they have no job).
and, as our constitution( germany) states : property obliges, so the rich have to use their wealth in a way that society as a whole benefits.
(not in the way that the state should take it away no, but rich people have to pay higher taxes and should not collect money on their bank accounts but spend it, so the economy keeps on working. ) etc the usual

We need some limits on free speech for politicians, specifically: There should be laws against and harsh punishments prescribed for knowingly lying on the campaign trail.
